Description

A male felar is standing before you, rising to a height of nearly six and a half feet tall. He is covered in a rich, glossy coat of black fur and his eyes are a startling and striking shade of a crystalline blue. Little else is discerning or distinguishing about him other then what he is wearing, you also notice,

Reksha the Shapeshifter

The product of a twisted experiment by a sorceror who attempted to revive
many of the dark horrors originating from the jungle of Veran, Reksha was
blessed as few as kin are with the ability to transorm and augment his
form to appear as those of living beasts. The power manifested itself at
a very early age, the careful and methodical outcome of successful 
engineering on the part o his creator, Reksha was quickly simply allowed
to leave and live life as best as he could.

Unknown to Reksha was the primal and boiling anger that would snap and
seize from within him, a feral rage which was almost impossible to combat
and temper. By imbuing Reksha, an ordinary felar with no magical abilities
with the formula engineered, he would give Reksha the ability to shapeshift,
but with the added side affect of forcing him to enter a feral and hostile
state at utterly random times.

This was more pronounced in his youth, as he has grown into an adult, he
has managed to curb and try to steel this anger that boils and jumps out
at times. After being chaulked up as a partially successful experiment,
half the reason why Reksha was allowed to simply leave and exist on his
own was his creator wanted to see just how durable his new creation was,
in his own existance and survival, he was still an experiment.

Reksha now seeks out the Fortress of the Holy Brigade of the Phoenix,
he desperately desires a family and to be among good, kind-hearted people
who share ideals similar to his own. He has no founded religious beliefs
yet, however he has a natural predisposition to the Goddess of the Jaguar,
having been born and first indoctorinated with some understanding of what
the Gods are after having briefly visited the place she calls home, the
Misty Ruins. He struggles to contain and hide the anger and rage that
swell inside him from time to time, hoping and praying that perhaps if
he is simply among those truly righteous, he will learn to temper and
better himself as the years pass. He is naturally empathetic, and will
do anything in his power to protect the innocent and pure-hearted against
any danger they might find. He also has a disposition to hunt and cull
the dark souls of Thera, his natural predatory instinct as a felar is
well-satiated in this regard when on the hunt.

Time as a Squire

Now a part of the Holy Brigade of the Phoenix, Squire Reksha
as he is now formally known as, has worked hard to try and
instill into his comrades a measure of both companionship
and dedication to the war on darkness. While he is still
considered a fledgling compared to many other more seasoned
soldiers and acolytes within the Brigade, as each day and
week passes by, he proves himself a boon and a vital link
in a chain to eradicate the forces of evil.


Attempting to bond with his entire unit as much as possible,
being fair to each brother and sister instead of seeking any
single one more then the other, he believes that cohesiveness,
fairness, and kindness should be imparted to every soldier
calling himself a squire or acolyte to the cause.

Having shared words with the Goddess Baerinika, Reksha feels
himself closer to her now then any other deity. It is quite
likely he will attempt to delve deeper into her dogma and try
to see if it fits the mannerisms and methods in which he tries
to embody the maran. He looks up most to the Marshall Oshui,
being literally entranced at times by the fascinating abilities
of the black jaguar he can turn into; the symbol of the Spear
maiden Baerinika. 

Having recently defeated a pair of more notable figures in
a series of bloodied fights, Reksha feels more and more 
confident in himself with each victory. Perhaps soon he will
be more then just a relatively quiet-spoken squire amidst the
Fortress of the Light.

Redemption

Added Mon Oct 29 12:04:32 2012 at level 51:

The tragic aftermath of a great battle at the Fortress of the Holy Phoenix
ended with two peacekeepers from Voralian City being killed as they tried
to chase and subdue Reksha as he was shapeshifted into a massive tiger.
Feeling true sorrow and remorse for the deaths caused by his hand, even
in self-defense, Reksha set out to find the Provincial Magistrate known
as Purmodin. After speaking at length with him and handing him a pouch
filled with seventy-five gold pieces, Reksha had Purmodin agree that he
would find the families of the slain peacekeepers and see they were
properly compensated for the lost of their loved ones.


Reksha further added these words, "Tell them I feel true sorrow for what
I have done. If I can do anything to help them in the future, tell them
they can find me at the Fortress of the Holy Phoenix. If it's more money,
help building something, or even performing as a shapeshifter for a child's
birthday party... I will do whatever I can to fill the void left by my
actions. Tell them in another years time, I will find you again and try
to compensate them again in this manner."

The Code of Reksha

- Reksha will never break the law of the Blood Tribunal if a Magistrate
is present and guarding a city in which his prey might be lurking. If
no chance of taking a mark is evident, he will freely the break the law
to slay a darkling.

- Reksha believes that in order never to succumb and be as miserable
and impure as those they hunt, that he take only what he can use or
is vital to the cause of the Holy Brigade. He will not leave a foe
naked and unarmored, even if he were to deserve it. Integrity is an
important part of remaining pure and righteous.

- Reksha will only lie for the sake of another. He will not lie to
further his own gains and would only do it to try and save the life
of another Lightwalker.

- Reksha sincerely challenge in every task presented in life, he will
always strive to challenge the fiercest of adversity. So long as death
is not all but assured, he will fight continously. 

- Reksha has as much concern for his family as he does for himself, it
will not be rare to see him wording a companion from battle, at the cost
of his own safety.

- In order to remain pure in the War, on the first morrow of every new
year he will visit the Misty Ruins of the Jaguar in hope of being
purified for any past sins committed the previous year.
