Description
A tall, magestic man with dark chestnut brown hair that falls to his
shoulders in loose waves. His sharp icy blue eyes are always alert, taking in
every detail of his surroundings. He carries himself with an air of
confidence, and his easy smile and quick wit make him instantly likable.
His most striking feature is his voice, which is deep and resonant,
capable of captivating his listeners with its power and emotion. When he
speaks or sings, he commands the attention of all those around him.
On his lip you can also see the start of a moustache in the same chustnut
brown as his hair.

Background
Added Fri May 26 13:30:59 2023 at level 19:
Rhourder learnt most of his abilities from the crowd in the dark alleys of Hamsah.
He would steal, cheat, fight and run to make it through the day. Life as a boy of
the street was harsh and not a enjoyable one. But as he passed puberty he noticed
he had grown a voice that people took notice of. Using his newfound talent he
stopped doing small criminal acts and started a performance on the corner.
But it wasn't until the Loremistress found him that his life would change. She heard
him perform one day and took him in. She sent him to the orphanage of Balator where he
was fed and clothed and as he got older, she started to teach him. After some years he
was accepted into the guild of bards.
Most of the other students came from wealthy families and had been tutored in the arts
since childsplay. Rhourder hated them all, but ofcourse he didn't show it. Instead he was
quick to copy the elaborate and magniloquent ways.
His youth made him though through hardship. But also made him scared to loose face, as it
could meen that people saw past his pompous exterior and see the real him. The orphanage
he really is.
Key takes on Rhourder

Summary:
A man permanently obsessed with being seen as an aristocrat to hide his
true story.
Align Evil:
He is not overly cruel or violent, but he does enjoy the feeling of having
it better then others. Keeping others down make him feel on top.
Ethos Orderly:
As there was no order in his life growing up, he adopted the orderly life
the hard schedule the Guild and Orphanage gave him.
Sphere Vanity:
Growing up with nothing has made him obsessed with having new and shiny looking
things. He uses vanity as a buffer to shield himself from his past.
Human:
He didn't have a say in the matter but growing up in the streets he always
felt common as a human. Nothing stood out.
Male:
He considers it's the weaker sex. Any female performancer always got more fans,
better pay and the best roles.
Bard:
He's call isn't music. But growing up it was the only thing he was good at.
And his tragic songs keep people entertained and they keep his wine goblet
filled.
Religion:
He has no particular religious beliefs, at least at the start. He
has heard whispers of someone called Rillan, but he doesn't hasn't found any
reason to bother worshipping.
Cabal:
He has been listening to the Imperial recruiter and the way they live with a clear
structure and way of advancing has tickled is fancy.
Working his way up.. and falling down.

Up
--
Rhourder walks the halls of the palace, I say walk but it's more like he prances, looking
down at anyone he passes unless they are from the Blade sect and if it's someone higher
up in the food chain he does a flourish bow, thinking to himself "kiss the hand that feeds".
He has been a member for the Empire for some time now and made is way up from oath to full
member of the blade sect, yesterday he even became a Imperial Blade, giving him access to
the inner communication of the blade sect. He was ofcourse over the moon with joy, but didn't
show anything on the outside ofcourse. Being a member for the Empire is to be able to hide
your feelings so that noone can read what you really think. And ofcourse to be able to read
others so you know what they really think, as noone says what they really mean. So the new
access to the inner communication of the sect will greatly enchance his ability to fight for
a spot among the Elites.
.... some time passes ....
Down
---
Rhourder has made his way to Morton to slay some dwarfs. With him he has the dark knight Skry
and the shaman Szioizs. In the middle of a fight with the named dwarf Umor the Blademaster
calls out to Rhourder asking what he is doing with Szioizs. First honered that the Blademaster
noticed him and then confused with his question he answers truethfully for ones. He is just
trying to get a new title to make him stronger for the Empire. The Blademaster informs him
that Szioizs is a Scion.
The rock beneth Rhourders feet seem to open and swallow him hole.
The shame! And his plans. Everything he worked for.
The Blademaster demotes him down to Sheathed Blade again, Rhourder ofcourse leaves the party
but not after having stopped singing for the wounds of his groupmate. Making him fall under
the axe of Umor. A small victory. But he feels is entire being, every atom in his body being
in turmoil. What will people say, his reprutation with in the sect, a thousand questions darting
through his head at ones.
He throws himself into a battle frenzy with the elfs in Darsylon to keep his mind from racing.
Tired in both throat and arms he wipes the blood of his drums and hair. After a nice bath he
composes himself again and makes a vow to hiself. He will make his way back, he will be at the
top of the sect.
Top of the Sect

Walking the halls of the palace Rhourder stops at a window to look at the training grounds
outside. The new recruits have started to arrive and the sounds of wooden weapons and the
chants of the drill masters are like music to his ears. Even better music then the one he
is singing for friends and foes. The Blade Sect is growing even if it's slower than he wished.
After getting the call from the Blademaster to step up as War Master, Rhourder has been sending
the Recruiters to smaller and smaller villages trying to find all of the possible young boys
and girls. And even if it's time-consuming work it seems to be paying off.
He always wanted to the top of the Sect of course. But Acaeygah departure was a bit earlier then
expected. He had hoped to stay as an Elite for some time to be able to make his alliances with
one from each of the other sects. Now he has to do it all in a bit of a rush and as he is
War Master now, more will see him as a threat and that makes filling the council with people
he can trust harder. But it is the way to the Throne, so it has to be done. It will be done.
He will take the Throne. All will bow, fear and envy him.
Emperor Rhourder... it has a nice ring to it.
Rhourder plucks a string on his harp and hums a tune with only the words forming in his head, as
he continues his walk down the halls.
Bravely bold Rhourder
Took his place upon the Throne.
He was not afraid to lead,
Oh, brave Rhourder.
He would bring Order to the lands.
With darkness, song and blade.
Brave, beautiful, brilliant, Emperor Rhourder.
Politics
Added Wed Aug 30 13:35:28 2023 at level 51:
Sitting in his, now lower chambers, in the palace, Rhourder spins his harp trying to make sense of
it all. He lost the vote. He has of course never been good at politics. In fact, he isn't much for
speaking to others. Most find it strange that a bard that demand the attention of the crowed is shy
or even socially awkward. But well, that is the case. Standing on stage or singing he has never been
shy, and he can become bold and boasting, but that is the show version of him. He plays a role and
it's easy.
That he lost the vote wasn't that surprising to him. But that the Emperor would lie strait to his
face was a bit of a surprise. He had always looked up to all leaders of the Empire but this Emperor
seems to throw a fit at even the smallest thing. And seems to love using his power to keep others
down. The pomace to let him keep his position for the vote seems to be lost in the wind. The irony
of the hole thing. Him loosing his position as War master and then the Emperor explaining that he
lost it because he didn't endorse the war with Tribunals hard enough. Then in the same note the
Emperor goes on and says he can't have a war with a empty council. It couldn't been a bigger farce
had he written it himself.
No this Emperor is not a leader. At lease Rhourder isn't Anathema, yet. But he will do all he can
to see the Emperor dethroned.
Tired

Walking into his study in the palace, Rhourder puts his mace in the the weapon rack next to the door
and hangs his harp and mantle on the spikes one the wall. He leans back and streches his back, waiting
for that now usual cracking sound, *pop* aaa there it is.
His body and bones feeling all the weight of each fight. He can feel the stamina in his bones and that
he can't keep this up. His body is giving up.
Most of what he planed have come to nothing. He hasn't been able to persuade anyone in the counsile to
try and remove the Emperor. He guess he should count himself lucky to still be a Elite really, but he
can't stop the feeling of not accomplishing what he set out to do. When he was War Master he worked
hard with the recruting and the ranks grew. The last two haven't seemed to bother. The Emperor equally
so and when the slot opened up he wasn't considered.
Tired... yea... he is tired.. Tired in his bones, tired of not getting where he wanted. Tired....
He walks over to his bed and poors himself a cup of wine and sinks down into the bed. Tired.
After a cup or five he no longer feels the aching bones and muscles of his body. Two more and he doesn't
feel the tiredness of his mind. He gets up, almost stumbles but doesn't spill a sip of wine and walks
over to the door. One more sip and he gets dressed again and goes out.
Until death... he will continue untill death even if it means he has to empty all of Darsylons wine cellers
to keep his mind and body at bay
