Description

This diminutive human stands only about five feet, two inches tall. His hair has been dyed, or otherwise changed into a bright green color which hangs to his shoulders, with two thin braids framing his face. His facial features are unremarkable, brown eyes and a small nose, but his teeth are of a clean whiteness that shows careful maintenance. A heavy white robe covers the rest of his body, cinched with a black leather belt from which hang the typical fare of a traveling mage.

Role

Moving Forward

They say that even if you fall flat on your face, at least you're moving 
forward.

Cyradia was a brick wall.  With spikes.  But it was worth a try; though 
it cost him a tiny bit of himself.  His ambition is no less dampened by 
the experience.  It taught him that tact is oftentimes more valuable than 
anything else.  A useful lesson.

His hands ever darken with more blood, though of late it has been much of 
his own.  He has stayed in his present place for far too long, and seeks 
opportunity to rise higher in his guild, though the vultures ever circle 
to prevent his ascension.  He is the Advisor now, and should be standing 
above the rest in all ways.  His reputation grows with it, and he must do 
all he can to grow it further.  He also received a compliment from the 
legendary Kaubris, and perhaps, in time, he will have that one's respect.

Of his work, he has collected five willing drowned souls to fuel the 
pollution of the Water Plane.  He recalls them in order: Yrdian the 
Antipaladin, trading death for knowledge of a wand, Miric and Kalsten at 
the same time, both seeking his favor as a Scion, Prondul the 
necromancer, who desired knowledge of artifacts, and most recently, 
Feyhan the shaman, who was tested for his worth to the Fold and allowed 
entry.

The Eye in the Darkness has given him a fragment of the knowledge of 
harnessing souls in order to aid in his pollution of the plane with the 
desire, and tasked him with seeking the deaths of four in order to gain 
more.  He has long completed his task, and waits patiently for his 
lesson.  For power and knowledge, he will have patience.

There was also something Cyradia mentioned, though she said it in 
mockery.  She said that he was only a conjurer of lesser demons.  Proof, 
then, that there are far mightier demons to call, not just slightly more 
so.  His ambition has a solid foundation now.  He will ever strive to 
unlock the secrets of the Abyss.  By any means necessary.

The Task

Added Wed Nov 23 03:15:43 2011 at level 47:

The task that Rindros set before the members of the Fold, as well as 
those who did seek, has been completed.  Many willing souls gave their 
lives in offering to the shadow.  To finalize the task, the shaman Feyhan 
was sacrificed, along with the gathered missives, unto the shadow via the 
immense pain of the mansion of twilight's iron maiden.

This ritual attracted the attention of the Eye in the Darkness, who 
marked him as a noteworthy seeker of knowledge.

He is pleased that many of those that failed in the task were never seen 
again, which allowed space for those that are more useful, and not simply 
mindless killers with no creativity.

Obregon did not succeed either, which speaks ill of his ability.  He 
complains of age and frailty, however, so perhaps he will not remain 
long.  Should the opportunity present itself, however, Rindros will not 
hesitate to act.

He recalls a fragment of text that spoke of the Necromantic Path being 
lower than that of the Thaumaturgic, and wonders if perhaps tunneling 
through the Negative to access the lower reaches of the Abyss.  Purely 
conjecture, but nothing ventured nothing gained.

Though he is banned from Cyradia's temple, perhaps the Ruby will deign to 
speak to him regarding this.

Opportunity Arises

Added Sat Dec 10 21:40:10 2011 at level 51:

With the chancellor now dead and gone, there lies a chance for him to 
increase his reputation, should the Eye and the Queen choose to bestow 
the power upon him.

The Queen, however, is likely less than pleased with him.  He can only 
hope that despite his whetting her appetite and then failing to deliver, 
she will take the slothful approach, and make him chancellor rather than 
deal with micromanagement of mere mortals.  He at least has no reason at 
present to believe the Eye would object to his ascension to the 
chancellorship.

He also managed to catch the vampire Davarrah going about her business, 
and she showed him a piece of her work on some shadowy plane.  After some 
confusion with a particular quire (it should be noted that extra-planar 
travel to a plane one has never visited can sometimes cause short lapses 
in mechanical reasoning it seems), she told him that she would like him 
to bring something there for her that cannot be done by her own hands.  
She did not reveal its nature to him, however.  Silver, perhaps?

He is not one to turn down an opportunity to work with one of that 
particular council, and eagerly awaits her word.  Perhaps he will gain 
enough favor with the council that Kaubris would be willing to profer 
some of his supreme knowledge to him.  And if not, surely Davarrah is a 
necromancer of equivalent power, albeit on a different spectrum, and she 
may be able to aid him with his ideas regarding the negative plane.

He read in the library of Hamsah that Kaubris once had an 
apprentice...and that he killed him.  He wonders if this could be useful 
or detrimental to him.
