Description

This wood-elf is of average height for one of his people. His hair has begun to gray at the temples, and his eyes are a wizened brown. His skin is fair, but beginning to wrinkle and marred with many scars. He is covered with tribal and nature tattoos, the most dominant of these are a sun on his chest, a fall leaf on his left shoulder, a sprouting seed on his right should and a snow covered tree on his back. His hand bares a beautiful tattoo of an ornate mandala that seems to glow with a holy light. He wears loose fitting robes of the type a priest would wear, and on them he has stained the front in the shape of an ornate mandala. He is fit and lean, but showing the wearing of the years.

Even from an early age, Rolas found the passing of the seasons to be
a beautiful dance, and fundamental truth.
People gravitate toward celebrating the welcome seasons, spring rebirth,
fall harvest, and other things that benefit them.  Rolas celebrates all
parts of the great cycle.  His great epiphany was looking out in the
bleakest of winter days and seeing the slumbering potential in a barren
tree, and also recognizing that death the greatest slumber comes to us
all.  Lives should burn bright and fierce.  The factory workers in the
big cities live in a sullen twilight, keeping their lives in a constant
state between life and death, but not truly experiencing either.  Rolas
wants to eventually free these people from their bondage to rejoin the
great cycle.

The Spring of Rolas' life.

Rolas is still young, but has accomplished much.  He has become a successful
member of the druid guild.  He has pleased Mother Amaranthe and become
an active part of her church.  He has also become a member of the Outlanders
giving him a group of like minded people to work for his goals with.
His future plans include a series of parties in the name of the seasons,
Amaranthe, and family.  He will also be taking time to preach in the
cities, and try to turn some of the hearts in the towns by means other
than force, and he will be exploring the world aggressively.  There is
much to do before the roaring summer of his life begins.  Action tends
to be a game of the young, and he tends to act as much as possible.

Summer has come.

The summer of Rolas' life has come and it is burning hot and bright.  He
gives thanks to the Mother, and preaches to others in all things he provides
especially those that come from her blessings.  He has truly taken up the
scythe of the coven, and is actively hunting down those that blaspheme
against the Mother and her teachings.  He misses his family in Evermoon,
but during the summer of our lives many strike out on their own leaving
parents with an empty nest.  What is important is making the summer of your
life worth living, no regrets and no second thoughts.  Show the Mother
your appreciation by taking all that life has to give, and making it give
you even more.  Summer is the time for action and movement, so time to get
doing.

A threat to the cycle.

Rolas encountered a flock of ravens preparing for a feast of the
dead, and he decided to investigate this unusual gathering, and what
they expected to dine on.  After speaking to the ravens, he comes to
find that Nirilas is claiming to be the prophet of Intronan and that
soon all time, life, seasons will be coming to and end.  After much
discussion Rolas has decided on several things.  The religion of Intronan
is a dead religion of a dead god.  If Nirilas is claiming to be the 
prophet of an entity wanting to end all things it is more likely a demon
or devil pretending to be Intronan, rather than a return of Intronan
himself.  Also, since Nirilas is being the voice for this entity, and
is preaching the end of nature's cycle, he is an affront to Amaranthe
and all she stands for.  A hoop has no beginning or end, and so is the
cycle like this hoop.  Nirilas must be eliminated, his voiced silenced,
and his essence recycled back into the great cycle of life.  If possible
Rolas also seeks to find out who this voice is that speaks to, and empowers,
Nirilas.

Destroy the cancer.

Rolas had long thought on Harbinger Zosi's desire to make a lasting mark on
the land.  After much prayer and contemplation the idea came to him like
a thunderbolt.  The dragons.....
Dragons are not necessarily wild creatures, but they have no love of cities
either.  Perhaps Rolas could think of a way to entice the ancient dragons
to level a protected city, speeding up their own reclaiming of the land.
There is no reason why Outlanders and dragons have to be at odds if the cities
are burned from the land, and they will be able to fill their bellies from
the farms of the land without being harassed by would be adventurers setting
out from the cities.  We could possibly have a like mind in this, and they
may be enticed to act sooner rather than later.  Even a dragon's formidable
patience is not infinite.  Rolas has decided to approach the dragons one at
a time, and to possibly seek the endorsement of the ancient dragon god 
Khasotholas to endorse his cause.

Fall has begun.

Rolas has begun to feel the weight of his years.  Wrinkles begin to grow on
his face, and he's not quite as vigorous as he used to be.  His wisdom thus
far has made up for the loss of youthful strength.  However, he has recently
taken a blow to his happiness in the passing away of his parents.  Velda
and Turan Spiritwind passed away from old age in each other's arms quietly
in their small home in Evermoon.  Rolas rejoices inside because he knows
the cycle has called home two that will be well rewarded when spring comes
again to their souls.  His emotions cry out at the loss of his loved ones
and the void that they will leave in his life.  The dichotomy of joy and pain
associated with death is a new experience for Rolas.  As with all things
it will take time to heal these wounds, and maybe some never truly depart.
This he understands and accepts, and makes the flavor of life that much sweeter
and full.
