Description
A human stands here dressed in vestiment robes. Long
flowing robes droop off his stature, which seemingly
show his large frame. His well groomed hair is cut
short, revealing his quite attractive features. He
has blue eyes and brown hair with a stern scowl
permanantly etched onto his grinning lips. Several
pieces of jewelry adorn his neck and fingers, sparkling
briefly in the light.

Rowan is alone, he has always been alone. The day of his birth,
his mother abandoned him on the porch of the Shilren Monestary.
A better life than if he was left in the hands of his father, a
truely wicked man. His father wished his death for the meager
cost of raising him would force him into physical labor. He told
his wife to end their miserable son's life in the raging waters
of the sea of despair. But the thought of drowning her own offspring
was too much to bear, and when a moment arose she entrusted her
best friend with her child. As instructed her friend took Rowan to
the entrance of the monestary and left him. The monks of the
monestary took him in as they often did with orphans left on their
doorstep.
The monestary, or so the monks regarded it as such, was nothing
more than several small buildings surrounded by a fence. In the
middle was a simple well for all to use. Life in the monestary
was very strict. They had many rules to follow and if broken, the
monks had a great imagination in forms of punishment. Depsite
this, Rowan followed their guidelines without any encouragement.
They taught him many things there. He learned to speak at an early
age, however he found conversation with his peers very dull. Classes
however he enjoyed greatly, learning the ideals for a perfect
community, as thought my the monks, inspired him and often kept
him thinking of better methods for the monks to increase their
productivity. He liked life at the monestary, it was a simple
life where everyone did their fair share. That was until the monks
took in their newest orphan.
It was not a common occurance for orphans to be brought to the
monestary and when it happened the monks hardly refused. This
orphan was particulary odd. For one, he was older than most, a
teenager. On top of that, he was also a gnome, something Rowan
had never seen before. At first he was intrigued by this new
addition, however that was short lived. By the second day after
his arrival, the gnome, whose name was Obbledor, began causing
trouble. He hardly followed any of their guidelines, often being
cursed for his ignorance for their beliefs. On the sixth day,
Obbledor thought it would be a funny joke to hide inside the well.
Unaware the monks regarded the well as a holy symbol of life, he
jumped in fully clothed and unbathed. All afternoon he stayed in
the well, chuckling to himself each time they called for him.
A gong rang, and Obbledor knew it was time for dinner. His hunger
finally forced him to end his joke. Knowing everyone was in the
mess hall, Oblledor figured he would climb out unseen and join
them for dinner. As he climbed up out of the well, he began thinking
of the great tales he would tell at dinner of his adventures.
Pulling himself to the top he peered over the edge and realized he
was face to face with Rowan.
Rowan was tired of the chaos created by this little being. Earlier
in the day, he had heard the chuckles of Obbledor coming from the
well. However he knew if he told the monks, they would punish
everyone for the gnomes disturbance, and so he decided to keep his
mouth shut. He made a plan to end this once and for all. Before
dinner, he faked a fever and insisted on staying in his room. Once
everyone was eating, he would creep down to t
