Description
This Drow stands well over six feet, an unusually tall height
for the Dark Elves. His gangly body is dangerously slim with
long, thin limbs that show signs of starvation. His face is
gaunt, with a large forehead and protruding nose. His face is
even darker than the rest of his black skin, having been rubbed
with some sort of soot. A large X has been painted on his face
in a vibrant blue-green that almost seems to glow. His head has
been shaved completely bald and further tribal symbols are painted
in the same color. His eyes burn red with an unnatural intensity
that are devoid of emotion.

Ryrzual was never normal. He was born to a House on the fringes of
Underdark Nobility, yet he never took to the nuances of Drow politics.
Unlike the rest of his House he was a truly chaotic soul. Manipulation,
for example, is cherished by the Dark-Elves as a preferred means to an
end. To Ryrzual's House, it was a political tool. To Ryrzual, it was
purely for his own amusement.
I will not bore you with the details of how this self-serving nature
drove his family to exile the young Drow. If you'd like to know more
I'm certain Ryrzual would share if asked. What matters to our saga is
that Ryrzual ended up alone in the tunnels of the Underdark with nothing
but the clothes on his back. His family assumed he would not survive, but
what they did not realize was that Ryrzual adapts. He didn't eat much,
leading to his emaciated form, but he was truly free for the first time
in his life. To mark his new independence, physically and spiritually, he
drew a large X across his face in warpaint. Symbolically crossing himself
out of society.
And adapt he did. He bounced from village to village, tribe to tribe and
found nothing of value. It was deep within the Underdark that he first
heard the whispers of the Fae Witch. He wasn't sure if she was real. His
House had worshiped Lloth for Aeons and their prayers were met with
perpetual silence. However he liked what he heard in this whispers. Magic,
death and the web of Chaos. These tenets spoke to him in a way nothing
ever had.
The Chaotic Priesthood
Added Sat Feb 9 00:38:22 2019 at level 16:
I'd like to remind you that Ryrzual's family hated him. He was never taught
the ways of Magic, nor was he even taught the martial arts that most men were
relegated to. Despite this he appreciates Magic. He understands its paramount
importance in returning the realm to something familiar to his nature.
He learned all this from the tomes of the Underdark. While he had nothing else
to do in his former life he read. And read. And read more. It was from these
tomes that he also understood the importance of faith. That one must believe
in something deeper. Unlike his kin, who didn't believe in anything except the
fabricated structures that sustained their comfort, he knew that his true calling
was in the wind. In the Chaotic shifting of nature.
It was this motivation that brought him to the Shaman guild where he began to
worship Aylosi openly. Armed with this new faith he left the Underdark to walk
among the surface dwellers, aiming to bring death to men and change to the very
essence of the present Aeon. Upon his 15th ranking in the Shaman guild he was
admitted to the Refuge to better pursue these bloody, genocidal goals.
Chaotic Magical Death
Added Sat Feb 9 00:39:01 2019 at level 16:
To Ryrzual chaos is more than just a sphere or concept. It is a state of mind. He
believes that the world at its best is raw, open, free, brutal. He sees Order as a
means to prop up the weak against the will of the realm. Because of his he favors
Fire Giants, as their One Law is the only "law" that makes any sense to him.
He understands Magic to be a free-flowing river of evolution. He believes that with
a thin veil the world would be shaped in a chaotic, natural way. He also understands
that Orderly magicians seek to harnass Magic in a way that contradicts its origin.
He compares this to a river. Raging, flowing and flooding valleys. Yet if foolish
Orderly men dam river it becomes still, docile even. In this he seeks to destroy
those who would destroy magic as well as those who would manipulate it away from
chaotic means.
He embraces death in a way only a Drow can. He understands its cold embrace as a
powerful tool and a necessary force. The world must be changed, the Elves must be
destroyed and Thar-Eris must rise from the ashes of Empires and weakness. That
can only happen with death on a scale that would make even the most hardened killer's
stomach turn.
Ryrzual desires to learn more of his faith. To grow, as a Priest, as a trickster, as a
butcher of the herd, as a Reaver.
He desires to become a true manifestation of the potential that Chaos brings the spirit
of mortal men.
