Description
Probably, you never seen so ugly gnome before. It's hard to say why he is
SO repulsive - because of disproportional face, or his crooked body and awry
little feet and hands. Hands, that are lacking few fingers and covered with
a terrible warts. One of his eyes is grey, and another - brown; his nose is
bent, like have been broken many times, and forehead is so big that it looks
like almost a second head. Below his ugly nose you see even something that
is a lot worse: a harelip! But, despite that, he is arrogant and quite cocky.
He looks at you with an arrogance and disgust, and surely consider you as
something last important in this world. When he speaks, his voice reminds you
croaking of a Whistlewood swamp-frog, but not a voice of a usual gnome.
Sagraa is looking at you suspiciously with a great antipathy.

A little monster

Sagraa is a result of a mercyless rape that did unholy duergar shaman
with an innocent young maiden of Hillcrest. After that, ashamed and outraged,
She ran away from Hillcrest and found shelter between Udgaardian plains and
city of the gnomes. There Sagraa have been born. He was so ugly due to mix of
duergar and gnomish blood, that even his mother felt disgust to her own offspring.
He was growing mostly alone, and evaded other people as much as possible,
because he learned that lesson very quick: everybody hated him, even most
holy ones, such as paladins or, especialy, elves. Maybe because of that very
soon he discovered his talent to magic. He asked his mother to buy him books
about magic, and she brought him a good pile from the market: cheap, most of
it was useless, but some were not too bad. She gave him those books and prayed
to her gnomish Gods, speaking of her desire never to see his ugly son again.
Gods satisfied her wish: soon after she died, killed by a dark-knight that
happened to train his martial arts nearly. But Sagraa was old enough to find
food and shelter in the woods. There, he was hunting rabbits, rats and birds,
and eating them raw. He kept learning his magic, and, due to his inherent wisdom,
he did very well. Soon, he learned how to partially change his body.
This was a difficult and harsh life, but it made Sagraa strong and independent.
Soon, he became confident in his strength and power, but at the same time,
he did not trust anyone. Because everyone who he met, tried to mock him, or
even kill, or rob him blind. They hated him, and he hated them in return.
Definitely, such life turned Sagraa into a most wicked gnome in this world.
Good and bad
Added Fri Jul 29 05:06:47 2011 at level 17:
During his terrible life, Sagraa found that he:
* Hate elves and dark elves for their beauty. They always laughed on him, or mock him;
* A lot more he HATE all other gnomes, because all of them tormented him in his youth;
* Will never obey anyone, or work for anyone except for himself. This include outlanders too;
* He care only for himself and his own good, goals of others do not touch him at all;
* He will never trust anyone, and never follow anyone, and never wil lead anyone;
* He will prove everyone that they were wrong, insulting him and laughing at him;
* He will become most powerful and fearful shapeshifter ever existed in the world.
* To achieve this goal, he need a powerful God-patron, who will not laugh at him;
* There is only one such being - Great Wild Beast, and he will seek him, to learn from him.
Sagraa is not a gnome!
Added Tue Aug 2 06:44:54 2011 at level 27:
Sagraa sincerely beleves that he is not a gnome.
Since he hate gnomes, everyone who refering to him as to a 'gnome', insulting Sagraa.
To answer to the question "who is he" he developed a new word: Drome.
Terrible mix of the gnome and duergar, he proclaimed himself as a specie of the new
generation. He thinks that he is a product of a natural evolution and a supreme being
(in consideration with gnomes, duergars, humans, elves... and everyone else).
Since that time, his credo is: "Sagraa is not a gnome! Sagraa is a Drome!"
And woe to anyone, who will dare to dispute with him.
What do Sagraa like?
Added Fri Aug 5 09:48:09 2011 at level 39:
In this world of sorrow and sadness, Sagraa found something that pleases him.
But what is it, except for his personal power and life of the outcast?
Of course, it is an ugliness. Most awful things that others would frown upon,
pleases him - because he knows that he is not alone.
So what it would be, that he enjoys?
Of course it is orcs, minotaurs and undeads.
Yes. He enjoys undeads, because thy are even more ugly that he is!
If he will ever find a company, it would be those creatures, hated by everyone.
If this world made him so ugly... he will turn this world to the suitable place.
He will destroy everything else and leave only ugly things alive.
Yes! Whe he will finish his work, he won't be ugly anymore. He will be normal,
and others will not smack him, laugh at him or feel sorry for him.
He will create world of his own - a perfect Ugly World!
Acceptance
Added Thu Aug 18 02:44:13 2011 at level 51:
After meeting with Sarabaa, Sagraa learned many things - many spiritual
things. From the last meeting, he began his inner travel.
His travel begans from understanding his own nature. He had to accept
himself. All his life, he did hate himself. This hatering was implanted into
him by the society in which he was living. Society, that imposed him false
standarts, false views. All his life he was trying to become something -
better, stronger, feared... anything, but himself.
Now, he realised that is was a fake. When he realised it, he began
meditations. He found voices in his head - of his mother, priests, other
people - and every voice was telling him what to do, how to live, what he
should do... it were not his wishes or desires. It were desires of others. It
were chains, that enslaved his spirit and mind.
First, he released those voices. "Thank you, mother, but I do not need your
advices. I know you wish best for me, but now leave me alone", he told to the
voice of his mother. When he released those voices, he found one more voice -
weak, almost a whisper. Voice that he never heard before. It was his own
voice.
He became hollow from inside, and with this hollowness came enlightenment.
Freed from any standarts, and social conventions, he finally became himself.
Miracleous transformation happened then: his hatering for beauty has gone. He
did not care for it anymore, nor for ugliness. He stopped judging and looked
at the world with a new look, finding miracles in everything: trees, stars,
rocks and grass, sun and moon. Dark nights became mysterious and enigmatic,
and every night he was becoming one with it, going out for the hunt.
All his life he was a prey. Even when he was murdering elves, he was a prey
to the social concerns: he tried to prove that he is better than he is. But
now, his spirit transformed into something totally new - into a true
predator. Now, he hunted not because of fear or hatering, but because it was
natural flow of his life. He did not proclaim himself as anything, though -
he was just Sagraa, and every hunt was a joy.
There were no light anymore, no darkness, no order or chaos. No laws, no
rules, no boundaries; only immediacy. He stepped on the next level of
existance, and from that time, every second of his life gave him happiness.
First time in his life he felt happiness and a true pleasure - simple
pleasure of deliberate life.
Preachings
Added Fri Aug 19 05:54:57 2011 at level 51:
"Why are you not branded with darkness, if you are seeking the Beast?" -
asked people Sagraa.
And Sagraa taught them...
"Imagine, there is a mammoth in the forest that is tracking you. Is he evil
becuase of that? For you - maybe. But he, himself, is freed from morale. He
is not limited by the dogmas of 'good' and 'bad' - he is just living his
natural life. Since time I began learning myself, cleansing myself from the
scales of morale and judge, I became something like that mammoth. I am eating
when I want, and when it is the lunch time. I am doing whatever I wish, even
if people around me think that I am crazy. Why would I be branded with
darkness, if I am just a totally free person?"
"Yes, maybe. But why are you not one of followers of Thar-Eris, of the
Refuge?" - they kept asking him.
"Because I am what I am. I am not animal, I am sentient person. Pretending
that 'I am wild' would be a hypocricity - it is not better than obey the laws
or life as a puppet. They are similar puppets, but they are being used by
other forces, that need to use them. It is not their thoughts, but, in the
best case, thoughts of their parents or society. They are limited, their
wills are same limited by the 'wild life'."
"But why not the Rift, not Nexus? They seems to stay between light and dark,
order and chaos?"
"Because they are servants, slave of the God Twist. Do you think it is their
own idea - to preserve something in the world? World will be fine by itself,
no matter if they are 'working' or not. They accepted chains that he offered
them, in exchange for questionable power - some sugar in a bitter elixir. Do
you truly think they would understand why do they fight? No. They were
taught. Someone did put voices into their head, and now they are nothing but
a bunch of trained parrots, doing what they are told to do, repeating what he
have been told."
"But same you can say about any cabal of Thera!"
"Exactly. All but one, but the Cult - because people of the Cult are similar
like myself. They are being not tuaght, but leaerned. It is a big difference
between teaching and helping to learn. In first case, you tell them how to
live, what to do, what is good and what is bad; in second - you only ask
questions, and they find answers themself. You tell them stories, and they
make conclusions by themself. Yes, sometimes they can stumble and fall - but
it will be their experience, their learning, their knowledge... their spirit
and soul. Second way makes a personality, not a puppet.
Remember one thing: illusions are most pleasing thing in this world, and most
dangerous. Almost no one would get rid of the illusions by self. If my hunt
will open their eyes - good, our society will become more normal and less
crazy."
Impersonality
Added Thu Aug 25 06:09:27 2011 at level 51:
During his hunts, and observation of a men, sleepers and profanes, Sagraa
discovered that most dangerous thing for a mortal is their own mortality.
What is morality, if not an instrument of manipulation, developed by the
society?
And most vulnurable point of the man is his ego. Ego and morality, two sides
of the same coin. Through ego, man can be manipulated, turned into a toy and
a puppet. Most dangerous manipulation is when man beleives that he acts on
his own will, and thinks that he came to his current life by himself.
Only complete destruction of the ego can free the will of a man, and crush
chains of the morality. Renunciation of his ego, or light and darkness, order
and chaos will free the spirit of a man, and would allow him to see clearly
through the fog of illusion - be it light or darkness, order or chaos. They
exists only in the mind of amortal, and are products of the morale.
Why, would you ask? Because for some killing a fire giant is a great act of
honor and salvation, while for others - it's a mortal sin and bad doing; for
someone else it would be a tragedy - who would feed their childrens now, who
would hunt for the family?
Denial of judgement, total impartiality - is a key for the freedom of the
Will. Acceptance of oneself as it is - not dark, not light, is a path.
Because those are only the labels that are being put through mortality of
different nations, and they are different for each nation due to different
judgement. Thus, every label is an illusion and must be removed.
Sagraa freed himself from the judgement, and putting labels and moved further
on the way of the Beast, on the way of Truth and acceptance.
Great lie of Death
Added Tue Sep 6 12:18:27 2011 at level 51:
Every mortal is afraid of death. No matter what they say, or what they claim
- they are afraid of it. They are mourning dead, and spilling tears in the
process; when their friend or relative dies, it's a tragedy. And those, who
ended their lives, are their enemies, criminals, sinners.
At the same time, those mortals are telling themself: "Soul is immortal! We
are eternal! We will live after the death!" - but it's only a words. Truth is
- they do not believe into their own words. They are repeating again and
again what they were taught, but they did not experienced it in
consciousness. When someone important to them dies, there is a mourning. Why?
Because they do not believe in their own immortality.
How to reach the great Truth - Truth of Immortality? it's very simple:
meditate. Meditate, until you won't feel yuor body. Until you feel that
consciousness is separated with your body. Once you manage to enter that
state, you will know death. This is what death is - separation of
consciousness and the body. If only mortals would know that, they would not
be afraid of death.
But society do not need mortals to learn the true face of death, because it
will lose control upon mortals. Knowing Truth, mortals will never become
slaves, servants, puppets or anything they do not wish to do. Why? Because if
they would know that death is not an end, but merely a stop to change the
body, as heralds are changing horses on the long way, they would prefer death
to enslavement.
Great Truth is that Death is not existing and not a danger; death is a merely
a shadow, casted by the life. It is unavoidable, and it is a best friend that
enlightened mortal may have. It is freedom for those who knows the Great
Truth. For those, who learned death and accepted her as his best Advisor.
Meditation: the Reasons
Added Fri Sep 9 09:32:57 2011 at level 51:
He met Saraba and he was mocked an warned for his bloodthirsty.
"You are very close to become a rabid beast", said Saraba. "There won't be
way back".
That made Sagraa to think of his own life and examine his reasons for the
hunt. Why exactly did he want to hunt? Knowing what he know now,
understanding world and nature of a man, Sagraa came to conclusion: he is
doing everything right.
Why would he not hunt marans? They are Fortress of moral and false belief,
they turn people into a blinded profanes. They turn them into a midless
soldiers and inspire them a false spiritual valuables. They are dangereous
for the world, and for Sagraa too as a part of this world.
Nexans, except for their attempt to hunt him, were second who caused Sagraa
to grimance in disgust. He treatened them as a spiritual prostitutes, who
sold their will for ephemeral balance. They tried to be important and boost
their ago with serving something that would be fine without them as much as
with their struggling.
His mind left the body as he continued his meditation, looking down to Thera.
Villagers were a good preys and challenging. They probably been closest to
Sagraa, if only they wouldn't enslave themself with hatering for magic. All
of them had different reasons, but they were direct threat ot Sagraa.
Imperials where same bound by their laws and limitations as marans, and were
no better than those. They were binding will of a man with terrible
Bloodoath, and it turned mortals into a spiritual slaves - even if they were
Councillors or Emperors. It was one of the most dangerous illusion for the
world.
Next, there were Scions, who sold their freedom to the devils and demons, and
gained power. Only Obregon seemed to understand situation, but he was too
weak of the will to change anything. Thy were sourrounded by the shadows and
illusions of self-importance and power, but in real, they were nothing but a
pwas in their patrons hands.
Lastly, Outlanders. Sagraa expected them to be free, but they disappointed
him: they were smae army, but living in the woods. They had no their own
opinion on the things - only were repeating nonsense about Thar-Eris, whom
they never seen or experienced. Led by blind beliefs, they wer fooling
themself with illusion of freedom.
"And who am I? Am I free myself?" - thought Sagraa.
"If I hunt those, to show them truth, to wake them with the assistance of
death, am I free?"
"Why do I care for them at all?.."
He pondered more, while his body were sitting far below, inanimate.
"Yes, I could understand the truth and nature of the man, origin of the will
and freedom. I am master of the Acceptance, and I will keep helping them,
keep opening their eyes, even if Saraba will not understand me. This is my
desire, this is what I wish to do, and this is my freedom".
He smiled and relaxed, feeling enlightened by the meditation, while his mind
fell down into his body.
Development of the new religion
Added Sat Sep 24 11:32:30 2011 at level 51:
For a long time he didn't make any notes, but now he felt inspiration. Many
things happened in his life since his last work, but he needed time to
understand, analyse and sort things out. Now, he was sitting on the dead
stump of the ancient tree with his black notepad.
First, he was branded with darkness. It was not something unexpected, but
still, until it happened to him, he didn't believe it would happen. It
revealed one truth to him: gods are not omniscient. They are supreme beings,
and powerful, but they still are unable to understand many things... and one
of such things is a Path of Acceptance that he was developing. He knew that
it was not Saraba, who proclaimed him as a dark being, and not his second
entity - Scarabaeus. He felt that it was so-called god of light, who didn't
bother to waste time on understanding phylosophy of acceptance. But, Saraba
asked him a very important question: "What are you? One of your feet on one
path, and second - on another!". Yes... Sagraa was developing something much
more difficult than Saraba expected.
Sagraa licked tassel on his pen and wrote tittle of his work: "THE RUBY BEAST".
Below the title, with a small and calligraphic font, he described his dogma.
"There are two paths, leading to the pinnacle. One is for civilized people,
who seek to destroy profanity and ignorance. Another - for those, who live in
the forests like the wild beast, and hunts it's prey without thinking of
moral and phylosophical questions. Until now, it was impossible to mix those
aspects of religion. But time passes, and new things coming into existance.
Path of Acceptance allowed me to see more than before, more, than others can
see. I became the beast and lived in the wilds. I was predator, and hunted
the weak. I was freed of moral. Each successful hunt gave me more strength
and power than I had before... and this inner power were the fuel for my
mind. I was often asked of who am I, why do I hunt, how to become so powerful
as I am. And I began asking myself. As a result, Path of Acceptance was born,
and I became more than just a beast.
I have successfuly mixed wild and sentient life. In my hunts, I was predator,
but hunted those, who was sleeping - to awake them; or those, who was profane
- to destroy them. I became predator, but not wild. Each hunt had a purpose,
filling it with the power and righteouseness. Like the wolf, I was getting
rid of the sick, weak creatures, who would spread plague of the ignorance and
weakness further into the lands and other people. I couldn't pretend that I
am just a beast, without thoughts, for it would be hypocricity and delusion.
Most difficult part was to accept myself - that I am not the beast that
Saraba wanted to see.
Thirteen dogmas of the Ruby Beast
Added Sat Sep 24 11:37:58 2011 at level 51:
1. Accept yourself and do not pretend to be something else than you are.
2. Nobody can enslave you except for yourself.
3. People can be divided on predators and preys.
4. People can be divided on awakened, sleepers and profanes.
5. Sleepers and profens are those, who did not accept themself and (often subconsciously) keep themself blind.
6. Those, who are sleeping, must be wakened via preaching or awakening pain.
7. Those, who are profanes, are the preys to the predators.
8. Those, who serve someone else, are blind puppets, preys and the worst profanes ever, and must be destroyed.
9. If you are serving Scarabaeus or Saraba, you are the deluded and must be awakened.
10. If you understand Scarabaeus and Saraba, but are not blindly obeying, you are awakened.
11. If you are following both paths, you are the Ruby Beast.
12. It is most difficult to be the Beast and remain sentient.
13. If you are rabidly hunting everyone, you are slave to your hunger and must be awakened.
What is the difference between Initiate of the Ruby Scarab and the Ruby
Beast?
First, reasons. Initiates are mostly hunting for the sake of this world, to
clean it from profanes, to make it more pure. They are very socialized, and
many would work on the changing society from inside, by preaching and
spreading the word. Ruby Beast is a hunter of preys. He see others clearly,
and they are being split on two categories: preys and predators. Those, who
accept themself, are predators, even if they do not hunt: they hunts their
spiritual preys, and killing them mercylessly. Preys may be the strongest
warriors or mages in the world, but they are still puppets to their masters
or society (even if they truly believe that they are living on their own, and
their thoughts belongs to them).
You must remember, that death is nothing but a stop between horse changing.
If you are free, nothing can keep you in your body; even mor powerful wards
will not manage to keep you forever. If you are free, most likely you will
end your life before something like that will ever happen to you.
Being the Ruby Beast means to remain free, but sentient.
Means to understand, but not to obey. To listen, but not to believe.
To learn not from the words or books, but only from your own experience.
It means to be a predator, where your preys are profanes.
