Description

Before you stands a young lady arial with dark black hair and blue eyes. Her eyes scan the area around her with a look of scorn. She carries herself with pride and has a determined look to her posture.Her clothing is darker of hue and appears to be tailored to fit her perfectly. Her hair is neatly pulled back into a ponytail and tied with a beautiful topaz tie. You cant see a stray particle of dust or hair on her clothing. You can tell by the way she moves that underneath her clothing is a body built for physical activity. Her movements are graceful and she never seems to falter in her stride. Hustle and Bustle (Part 1)

Raucous sounds echo down the streets of the Imperial City as the Owl and
Thistle is filled to overflowing.  A new Emperor has been named and the
excitement is electric. All of the shopkeepers are excited about the
possibility of new growth under this Emperor.  The barkeep is selling drinks
left and right and taking in money hand over fist.  He has all of his whores
lined up and business is good.  His wenches are earning more money in one
night than they normally do in a month. This particular bartender has been
very good at obtaining slave-girls from all different races in order to meet
all of the desires of his clientele.  

One of the girls on the end is a pretty arial with long legs.  Her beak is
painted a silvery color in the fashion of the high society types of the arial
court.  Her plumage is also dyed to be silver on the ends.  Not many
customers come in looking for companionship with arials, but she draws the
attention of everyone in the room.  As the music plays she sways seductively.
Suddenly the whole place grows quiet as two of the Emperors personal
centurions walk into the bar.  After them an arial with regal stature and
demonic horns strides into the room.  The bartender motions to the musicians
who begin to play an Imperial March in honor of the Emperor, standing in
their midst.  The Emperor nods his pleasure and then announces the next round
is on him.  A cheer goes up from the people as they resume their revelry.

Hustle and Bustle (Part 2)

As the demon-horned Emperor looks about the bar his eyes catch sight of the
arial whore standing against the wall.  He whispers something to his nearest
advisor.  The advisor makes his way over to the bartender and whispers
something to him while nodding at the arial wench.  The bartender nods and
motions for one of his bouncers to make their way to him.  He says something
to the bouncer and the bouncer makes his way over to the arial wench.  The
bouncer says something to the arial girl who smiles and risks a glance at the
demon-horned arial.  As she looks up her eyes meet his and his plumage raises
as a gesture of contentment.  The advisor seeing the connection is made slips
a handful of gold to the bartender.  

The Emperor having chosen a girl for later that evening makes his way about
the bar, speaking with a handful of centurions and citizens.  He shares a
couple of drinks with some of his more senior soldiers and announces that his
former pupil, Molo, will be the new War Master. Cheers again go up and the
party continues on.  The Emperor having accomplished what he came to do makes
his way out of the bar and down the darkened streets of the Imperial City.  

As he makes his way to his palace citizens bow as he walks by.  He is soon
greeted at the entrance to the palace by his Vanquisher.  He makes his way up
the winding stairs to the chambers that are his personal dwelling.  As he
enters the room you notice that the silver-beaked arial is already in his bed
wearing only a few pieces of lingerie.  He closes the door gently as he
begins to disrobe.  The Centurions outside his door move slightly farther
away in order to give him more privacy.

A Favored Treat

As weeks go by you notice that the Emperor is spending a lot of time with the
arial wench.  Most of her stuff has been moved from the Owl and Thistle to
the Emperors guest room.  In her free time she is often seen observing the
training of the Empires soldiers.  In the evenings she sits with the Emperor
as he eats and asks him questions about his Empire.  He instructs her about
the ways of his Empire and even starts to teach her about a number of
different weapons and their uses.  They share a secret smile as he shows her
how to use a whip as a weapon, something far different than what she has used
one for in the past.  

You notice that as time draws on the arial girl spends time among the members
of the black sect as well.  Asking them about the many different spells they
seem to be able to create.  Her eyes light up as one of the Anti-Paladins
shows her a number of spells that he has learned.  He is entranced with her
beauty and decides to teach her what she wants to learn.  The prospect of
having something that is strictly the Emperors also entices him.  Seeing the
power she has over the Black member she uses her wiles to begin her training
as an Anti-Paladin in secret.  

As always she is back in the chambers of the Emperor as he comes back from
his conquests.  As the Emperor eats she sits there and gives him seductive
looks in order to distract him from asking too many questions about her day. 
After devouring his food she offers herself to him as is usual. After all,
she is his favored treat.

Discarded and Scorned (Part 1)

As time wears on the excitement of the new Empire begins to wane.  Vendors
and shopkeepers begin to see less commerce and the bars start to see heavier
drinking.  The citizens begin to grumble to one another and there is
discontent in the streets.  They see their hopes and desires slowly fading
away under this new regime.  Whispers in the dark become more prevalent and
the centurions guarding the Emperor become tense.  In all of this the
Emperors advisors are beginning to cause him stress.  He finds that his
times with his favored treat do not bring him the pleasure they once did. 
The silver-beaked arial does all she can to keep his focus, but he begins to
grow frustrated by the stress of ruling. He spends less time with her and she
begins to grow impatient and annoyed.  

One evening while eating dinner she asks him about his day. A look of disgust
comes over his features and he throws his goblet at her, splashing her with
wine.  He does not apologize, but instead forces her out of his chambers. 
Anger comes over her features as she storms down the hallway to her quarters.
Discontent and frustration can be felt by everyone in the palace.

Discarded and Scorned (Part 2)

The next night the Emperor arrives to find that his mistress is not in his
chambers.  He is furious and orders that she be found and brought to him.  As
the centurions look for him they come upon her in the Black Sect Hall.  The
silver-beaked arial is stroking the hand of her entranced Anti-Paladin. The
centurions seize them and bind them.  They drag both of them to the Emperors
chambers.  When the Emperor hears of this treachery he takes a dagger and
cuts the throat of the anti-paladin.  He then takes the silver-beaked arial
wench and bends her over his table.  He grabs the nearest whip and begins to
beat her mercilessly like the slave she is.  Tears stream down her face but
she does not cry out in pain.  Flesh, blood, and feathers can be found strewn
about the Emperors chambers.  The beaten and bloody body of the
silver-beaked arial is taken to the alley behind the palace.  The girl is
tossed into a pile of refuse as the centurions who took her believe her to be
dead.  

A few days go by and you notice that the leg of the arial girl begins to
move.  It is a wonder that trash has not been piled over top of her.  The
girl comes to after being knocked unconscious for three days.  Her body badly
injured she crawls out of the alley in the darkness and makes her way to the
back of the Owl and Thistle.  It is in the alley behind the bar that her
former owner finds her. When he sees her he takes pity on her station and
quietly takes her down into the wine cellar.  He dresses her wounds and
brings her some food to eat.  He tells her that she must heal quickly as they
could be inspected at any time. After two days she is well enough to travel
alone and so the bartender clothes her in a very plain outfit.  When night
falls he gives her a bag and a purse with twenty gold inside.  He tells her
this was the price she was bought for and is sorry that he ever sold her. 
Being freed she makes her way down the darkened streets of the Imperial City
and disappears into the night.

New Beginnings

A month has gone by since we last found our silver-beaked arial skulking,
lame and broken, out of the Imperial City.  Her time has been spent living in
the inn in Hamsah.  Every day the arial girl has gone out and asked questions
of the people.  After a time she comes in contact with the soothsayer who
frequents the Avenue of Abedim. He is a dark and troubled man, just the sort
she was looking for.  As she approaches the man he grins.  Her healing has
gone well and her seductive and graceful walking attracts his attention.  The
girl whispers something into his ear and twirls his hair between her fingers.
man quickly nods and points her to the east and a bit south.  The girl
pecks him on the cheek and makes her way to North Khalid Road.  

As she turns south she crosses a bridge and turns west onto South Khalid
Avenue. A few blocks down she turns south again and comes to the front of a
dark building.  A man at the door sneers as she approaches him. She utters a
word with scorn and a nearby dog howls as it stumbles into a wall.  It
continues to stumble about as if blind. Seeing the blinded dog the man
shrugs and nods at the girl. As she disappears into the back of the building
you notice this is the Brotherhood of the Abyss.  It would seem she has found
what she was looking for..for now.
