Description
Before you stands the small, muscular form of a svirfnebli.
His beady brown eyes peer out from under a snowy-white mane
of hair that runs down the center of his head, trickling down
into his face and masking a majority of his facial features.
Clad heavily in large, bulky armor, he doesnt seem to be weighed
down the slightest. Awkwardly, he wields two immense axes nearly
the same size as himself with much ease. You notice pale
green and purple paint smeared on the both sides of his shaved
head and smeared onto the shoulders of his armor, making him
look even more awkward than at first glance. Both his walk and
casual gestures seem to have a certain, crude grace about them.
He seems to have an element of defiance in his every stride,
walking as if no other were above him or could possibly distract
him from his course. A disturbing, animalistic grin never seems
to leave his leathery face.
Role
Salvrath's lack of orderly grace.

Salvrath has nearly no knowledge of order or civilization, only
that he thoroughly enjoys his own freedom. He does not
comprehend anything having to do with formalities, which is why
you will never see him greet someone in the normal fashion,
thank another for their aid or services(though he will usually
find a way to repay them somehow), or bow down to anyone. He has
a strong hatred for cities or 'steel boxes', as he calls them,
and ultimately seeks their overall destruction.
A savage attempt at deception.

Although Salvrath is not very socially literate, there is a fair
amount of knowledge and wisdom within him. People often mistake
him as a common savage, a misconception that he often attempts
to exploit. He also makes several other small attempts to throw
off his foes, such as his bland choice of war paints strewn
about his upper-body. One versed in the way of the wilds would
know such colors to mark creatures not poisonous or deadly,
neither of which is a characteristic of Salvrath.
Understandably, this attempt at deception is not something very
effective in the eyes of a city dweller(or steel box man), but
it is what Salvrath knows, therefore he will continue to utilize
it regardless.
The Biography of Salvrath SteelRoot.
Added Wed Apr 6 17:25:29 2005 at level 31:
The whereabouts of his parents are unknown, as well as why he
was taken to the surface. He was likely abandoned, being a
rather..strange child. He remains uncaring and completely
oblivious to any thought of his origins. The only home and
family he ever knew was the Valley of Veran and its inhabitants
which he has grown to love, despite the creature's aggressive
behavior.
He lived in Veran for ages, surviving off the many roots,
mushrooms, lichen and other natural substances. If the Valley of
Veran is foreign to your ear, you would know nothing of the
strange side-affects of the many pieces of wild growth found
about the valleys. The steelroot for instance, turns one's skin
to stone when ingested, likely where his last name "SteelRoot"
was coined. In addition, many of the more..potent herbs have had
their toll on his mind, adding more to his..intricate
personality.
