Description

The gaunt almost skeletal being before you would be unmistakably human if it weren't for the layer of grime and filth covering every inch of her body. The faint outline of her shape and her careful movements speak of feminine grace. Her matted blond hair is locked and flows haphazardly away from the twisted gaze on her scarred visage. Two dirty ears can be slightly seen protruding defiantly from her head. Her eyes are small and beady, but a peculiar jade in color. You instinctly recognize the creature as female though beyond instinct you're not sure what of her flat chest and sunk in abdomen would validate the feelings. She stands about five feet, three inches tall, and could be mistaken for a number of the shorter races save a few distinctly human features. The stench of mire and swamp heralds her arrival and departure. Even still were she clean she might manage the status of truly ugly as opposed to repulsive. Beyond the assortment of armors and the distaste you inherently feel gazing upon her you see that...

Role

The end of childhood.

Saydyn struggled furiously against her bindings. The guards had lashed her to
a table, and left the room of inquisition. Blood ran from every piece of her
almost completely broken form. It was only a matter of time before they
returned to "ask" her of the supposed crime. It was her punishment for
refusing the paladin's guild she was sure of it. Their laws, their lives,
their false sense of security had all lead to this moment.

The two guards returned to the room and immediately resumed the brutal
beatings. Taking turns they raped her again and again, waiting for her to
scream out a confession of any sort. Waiting for her to cry out at all. The
words would not come, these sounds she would not force herself to make were 
easily muffled by the grunts of the two. She knew it would not be long now,
the shift would change and she would have her chance.

She lay there, unable to move at all when the next group entered. From beyond
her darkened world she heard.

"You've almost killed her, what good is she now? Take her to the forest and
end it."

They drug her to the Silverwood, to the rocky cliffs and into the Violet
woods. There, they raped her one last time for good measure, beat her once
again, and left her there bloodied, helpless and at the mercy of the
gibberling horde.

So ended the childhood of Saydyn, the missing daughter of a prominent Galadonian
official.

Survival

The most unexpected thing happened following the last of her childhood
memories. She'd managed to live. Broken bones setting in awkward position,
and she'd survived on grubs and dew as best she could. Always hating the
nearby Galadon, and moving from place to place plotting the eventual death of
any that came across her. She did not want to hear of the natural order or
her place among anything. She did not want extravagance, she did not want
glory. She only wanted to look at the cities walls and the roads cut through
the countryside and see it burn.

She did not care for her own welfare, she did not care for the thoughts,
hopes, or prayers of others. There was never going to be justice there was
never going to be hope. There was no benevolent entity that cared at all for
her, and quite simply she didn't give a fuck either.

At some junction, unguided by anything other than her hate and her desire to
completely upset any construct that normal men believed in, she wandered into
the druid's guild in the Feanvyn Weald, and began to listen to the teachings.
Here she saw a means. A way to form a symbiotic relationship with the plants
she'd come to know as provider. A way to call them to the kill at her
beckoning. If she could not create, she would destroy, and here was the
vessel she'd needed.

Thar Eris and The Imp.

The druid's had a tricky way of teaching her. They'd taught her of Thar Eris,
and the eventuality that would come with the waking ancients. She'd learned
some small manner of patience among them, and found guidance in their
teachings. It was only enough, she thought, to keep her from turning on the
very wilds that had given her life when she'd been left for dead. But it was
enough. Eventually she'd learn of the Imp and his promises of a life free of
succumbing to any, and seek him in some manner of haphazard earnestness.
She'd nothing really to lose either he'd kill her outright or he wouldn't.
Either way it would prove a distraction from the mundane and that interested
her.

She'd seek the destruction of the civilized world, as it had sought her own
destruction. She'd be a harbinger of things to come and the perils of order.
She had decided. The progression was laid before her and while the path
was hardly aligned to her normal manner of thinking, it lay before her all 
the same.
