Description
This elf has a copious amount of hair. His blond locks are long and shaggy,
mess around his face. His face seems perhaps a bit elongated, drawn, and
perhaps a bit animalistic. That's just it in fact, his face has distinctly
canid featrures. There's a softness about his eyes, deep pools of brown, and
fuzziness about the face that speaks of peach fuzz. Not really facial hair,
but not the perfectly smooth alabaster skin one normally finds on a high elf.
He wears a mish-mash of things. Robes and armor and trinkets and jewelry.
Almost anything except a coherent outfit. The colors clash, and he looks
perhaps a bit ridiculous.
Still, there's the friendly gaze, the easy smile, and the warmth playing
across his face.

A Recurring Nightmare

I struggle sometimes to sleep, you see, that is why I am so often tired.
Each time I go to sleep, I am awoken. Dark dreams twist and ache my
restless nights. They are always different, yet the same.
There is a rabbit, nay, a bunny. Let us call him that since he is cute. And
fluffy. Except perhaps for the madness lurking in his eyes. Actually,
lurking is by far the wrong word. It's the only thing you see when you
look into them.
Some times, he attacks me, teeth gnawing and digging into my flesh.
Some times, he hops around, ignoring me until he suddenly grows
to an enormous size and swallows me whole. Other times, I am restrained,
and his little bite last forever.
Always, I wake up sweating, barely rested, and dread going to sleep.
I do not know this rabbit, not really, but I know he thinks me an enemy
for reasons I do not know.

I do not know where I come from, really, I just know that I am not where I
am from. That I do not really know where that is, where home is. Just that
this isn't it, and that I miss it.
I wonder about that. Most people remember where they came from. I do not.
Perhaps it is a bit of an issue with my memory, a blow to the head that
caused me to forget. Perhaps I am just blocking something horrible.
Either way, it encourages me to live in the moment. You never know when
you may not remember things any more.
I try to like everyone. Some people make that hard, but that's doesn't mean
I won't try.
I am so tired, though, most days, and I am afraid that makes me a bit irate
at times.
Not to worry. I'll do my best, of course, and see what happens.
Conversations with Shivsara and Iliunezyn

Shisavra seeks and adores the ostentatiously beautiful things, and values
based on external beauty. She was willing to sit with me and talk some,
and the conversations were interesting. I am curious though, because she prefers
willingly given blood, which indicates at least a bit of decency.
Speaking with the Marshall Uthiln and Iliunezyn now, about the return of
some dark entity. Eshval. Beroxxus. Mergulla. Old, dark gods.
Muuloc as well. Dark gods of the chasm.
And an interesting question. If the darklings and seek to open up a rift
and bring back the old dead gods, why can we of the light not?
Iliunezyn wishes to talk again, after we have discussed. And bid us be careful because
there is one within the fortress who seeks the same end.
I have offered Iliunezyn my assistance if it does not conflict with what I hold dear.
I do not know what happened before, but I do know that I was born in interesting times,
under an interesting sign!
Whistling, smells, and me.

I may be mad. I dreamed a dream of my friend, and all I remember is his smell.
I heard a familiar whistle in the air, and my heart broke to realize there was nobody
there.
I look at myself in the mirror, I bear more than the usual amount of hair for
a high elf. Shivsara tells me I should save, but I do not take that badly.
I wonder what am I?
And why does a bunny call me foe?
What have I done before I was me?
Prayer and Vow to Azorinne

Azorinne, Golden Host, I am not quite certain how to approach this, or who I am
to offer my faith and devotion. I do know that I come to you in supplication, seeking your
guidance and wisdom. I pledge myself to you, and this vow I offer up.
I will not cease until I uncover the mysteries of the ancient gods, and hold fast against the threat
posted by ancient evils. I hear wind of the destruction of all we hold dear, and will not abide
that.

This I prayed to Lady Azorinne, and I will do my best to hold true. I hope it is acceptable,
but honestly, I do not even know myself, nor the haunting sensations I catch wind of and hear.

Perhaps I made note too soon, but Lady Azorinne came to speak with me shortly
after I recorded that journal entry. She spoke to me of things, asked if this vow
that I made was the one I would make to her. I said it was.
Strange thing, her voice changed, and I heard a chorus as she spoke. She told me
it was a great burden I sought, and that she would not allow me to walk alone.
Bid me trust in those who walk in the light, and those who would not deceive me.
My good nature is my gift, trust in myself as well.
And I am gifted to book I "borrowed", they are for taking and giving to those who
may want to read it, or may need to read it.
I am bid to come back soon, and we will discuss what the vow of mercy means in the book.
And to explore it with a few folks, find out what it means to them and to me.
Viqu and Iliunezyn and Mercy.

I asked the reaver, Viqu, what of mercy. he said that he would daresay that mercy is
Decay.
It is a mercy to know that there is something larger than us, a cycle that continues
on before us and after us.
I do not entirely follow his line of thought, except to say that it looks long and far
to find mercy. When I suddenly fell asleep, he left me there, though I was unprotected and
easily slain.
" Another lesson in mercy. Sweet dreams" he said, and left while I was in the grip
of my nightmares.
On asking the same of Iliunezyn, he said facetiously "A foreign concept"
And others in his house would call it a quick death.
I find myself again in the churck of Morius, listening to him speak. This time
he brings me further in, not just outside.
He speaks of his visions.
He asks me to take his place on the altar of Morius, sacrifice myself in his stead.
If I do not, he says that will lead to the darkness and emptiness as he will take his
place. If I do, he says he will seek the other path.
I am foolish, young, I know, and I do not know what I do not know. I took a vow
to my Lady, to do all I could in my power to preserve things. Do I step back, or
do I ...I don't know.
"But when the shadows wane and seek the light, they should be met with kindness."
Light help me, I will take his place.
Nyrinia and Mercy

She doesn't know the concept, but knows the word. Views it as weakness perhaps, and one-sided.
She says that even if mercy is shown to someone, it may not dissuade them from their goals.
Even if it comes from one source, like say myself, it doesn't mean that others won't show
mercy, and Nyrinia did say that her opinion comes from no experience in that regard.
It makes me sad that she has no idea what mercy may have been in her life, or knows
if any was there at all!
It does make me sad, knowing that many do know know aught of kindness. I should fix that.
Without getting everyone killed, of course.

I spoke with my Lady on the findings I have had so far, and told her what choice I
had made for Iliunezyn. I told her that I know I am naive. She said that mercy
has a way of tempting us from good judgement. She says that mercy, in the hands
of one such as Iliunezyn is a weapon against us.
That is why the vows are inseparable.
Conversations with Azorinne

She tells me he used me. That while I should keep hope alive, I should also not
lay my life down on the altar of a dark god.
I will continue the conversation with Iliunezyn, and hope, but I will strive to be
less...naive...about it.
I spoke also on the mercy discussions I have had, and what insights I had.
And also of how I found, or may have found, my rabbit.
My next task is to investigate judgement, and see if I can learn how to judge things
so that I can always pick the path that leads to the light.

Conversations on Judgement

Iliunezyn asked me to join him in the chasm, to forsake things here and go there.
He says I am not appreciated here, and he is lonely. That is a consequence of his
choice. He said that together we might perhaps yet stop the worst from happening.
Seductive and sweet, and full of lies I think. I do not know the future, but I will not
stray.
I will, however, keep talking to him, and we will see if that ever bears fruit. If not,
that is alright, but it does sadden me.
I spoke with Elitorsa on Judgement. The first word she said is responsibility. Casting
judgement is not without consequence. So it is important to remember that when you must.
Speaking with Quivdereayeh on Judgement, and on Iliunezyn.
On judgement, she says that without Mercy the Light is cruel, without Justice the light is
ineffectual. And withing Judgement the light is reactionary.
Judgement lets us look into the facts, and the pasts of those involved, and to determine
the outcome most likely to lead towards a better world. Justice simply exerts a punishment
or reward on the matter at hand. More about righting wrongs in the past than about the future.
Mercy wishes to forgive the past in hopes of a better future. It is less concerned with
righting wrongs of the past.
Judgement in effect tempers both towards a better outcome.
We spoke on Iliunezyn, Quivdereayeh and I. On how he was flirtatious, and tried to lure her
into the temple. And how she was loath to follow, how it was not the first time.
She was asked to lay down her life, same as I was, yet I did and she did not.
The same offer he made to me, he made to her, a place within the Chasm.
I will continue to speak with him, and understand in my heart that he lies even when
he may speak a truth.
It is not in me to give up hope.
