Description
A very short feline stands less than five feet tall, but with fairly
sized muscles all around her. Fully covered in black fur, she fades
together with the shadows seamlessly, obscuring her crouching figure.
The deep blue eyes are the single bright contrast to her otherwise
dark features. A prominent set of claws looks sharp and dangerous.
The facial features are somewhat distorted, as though disfigured,
but it's hard to tell for sure as the fur and the dark face
blend in together somewhat, hiding much of a detail.
Role
Background

As a young felar, little there is to worry if one runs in a familiar pack.
Surrounded by plenty of brothers and sisters, Sdiorra learned to hunt and
provide easily, sharing easily and carelessly what she didn't need.
Her parents taught her to be easy-going, but somewhat careful around the mages
of the world, and that proved quite helpful to evade an early and untimely death.
One day, hunting out in the forest near Barovia with her usual pack, she
noticed the forest grew eerily quiet. Hiding quickly behind the tree, she
was just in time to avoid the fate of the others. One by one, and quite
quickly, perhaps in a space of a few seconds, the fela fell instantly dead.
With horror, she observed a dark figure materialize near her fallen siblings,
and with a raised hand to begin to chant a spell in an unknown language.
The hand jerked forward, as if to give a signal, and to Sdiorra's horror,
the fallen pack has arisen anew, albeit without any life behind their eyes.
They marched towards the stone building in the south and disappeared within.
Crying softly, Sdiorra picked herself up and half-crawled back to safety,
away from the mage and forever away from her pack. Learning to hunt alone
was a struggle, but a necessary one if one is to survive and to learn enough
to come back to the hideout of that lich, face him and defeat him in cold revenge.
Only then perhaps her deepest wounds would be healed, and in the meantime all
the potential allies of that necromancer should perish, and maybe some healing
will come back to the world twisted by the darkness and evil all around.
In search of reflection
Added Fri Jul 19 14:54:57 2019 at level 25:
After hiring a mercenary to help Sdiorra slay the evil beings of the world,
she paused to contemplate whether she'd done an immoral thing. In search for
answers, she decided to contact Einoh and while he did not provide a direct
guidance, the reflection on the matter caused Sdiorra to conclude that the
whole business of hiring mercenaries for indiscriminate murder by whomever
hires them is immoral and not right for the world. Even if one only uses them
for good, there's nothing to prevent that same mercenary to do evil the next day.
Thus, Sdiorra paid for the retraining of her previously hired swarthy mercenary
in the profession of his choosing and has foresworn the use of mercenaries.
She still seeks a pack to travel with, but that pack would be based on the
common goals, beliefs and convictions, not a relationship based on money.
The feeling of doing right was overwhelming and she intends to continue
to deeply reflect on her words and actions to prevent herself being astray.
Healing
Added Fri Aug 30 13:16:23 2019 at level 35:
As the Fort's taint was revealed, Sdiorra failed to be present and to help.
Of this, she is guilty. She has failed at her duty as squire when the
Fort fell. And while she went wandering about the desert, she failed to
convince the leader of the nomads to help the Fort no matter what she tried.
Again, she has failed. And third time, when it was time to heal and mend the
Fort's walls and to cleanse the orb, she was not present. She has failed again.
Now Sdiorra tries to continue on the new path as a seeker for squireship
with the weight of those failures on her shoulders, as well as the pain
of the orb having been stained so much in the past with corruption.
She will heal the way she does best, the way to heal the world, to rid it
of the servants of the dark, the only path she should take.
