Description
The storm giant before you stands tall and imposing, his form easily reaching
well over 13 feet. His skin is a deep, oceanic blue, with faint swirls of
green that seem to shimmer in the light, reminiscent of the deep waters he
calls home. His hair, a flowing mass of storm-gray locks, cascades down his
back like thunderclouds caught in motion, barely tamed by the simple braid
that binds it. His eyes, pale as lightning and sharp as the blade he
carries, seem to hold the weight of countless storms within them, yet there
is a quiet, almost humble serenity in his gaze.
Adorned in armor forged from natural materials, his pauldrons and greaves
glint with runic engravings that speak to the divine path he treads. His
shield, broad and adorned with the symbol of Jaguars, reflects the steadfast
resolve of a warrior who seeks to defend the weak and fight with purity of
purpose. Across his chest, etched into the metal of his armor, are depictions
of a figure wielding a spear; a tribute to the faith that guides his hand
in battle.

In the deep, dark depths of the ocean, where the light of day could scarcely
penetrate, Sian woke, adrift in the quiet embrace of the abyss. His body was
heavy, his limbs weighted by exhaustion, but his mind his mind was a void.
It was a strange and terrifying sensation. He knew nothing, recognized
nothing. No names, no faces, no home. Only a deep, unyielding emptiness. But
amid that darkness, there was a flicker of light. A memory. Not of a person,
but a feeling of presence. It was pure, fierce, unrelenting. The Light of
Baerinika.
Sian floated, lost to the world, clinging to that one certainty as if it were
the lifeline that tethered him to existence itself. He didnt know how long
he drifted before the currents of the ocean carried him to a remote shore.
His massive body lay sprawled across the sands, the tide lapping gently at
his feet, when the first human travelers found him. They recoiled in fear at
the sight of the towering storm giant, but his weakness and the strange aura
of peace that lingered around him stilled their hands. Instead of a foe, they
saw a giant in need.
The Guiding Light

The fisherman took him in, unsure of what to do with such a colossal figure.
He could barely speak, his voice ragged from disuse, and he had no name to
give them, no story to share. But when he closed his eyes at night, in his
dreams, he saw visions of a goddess. A maiden of strength and purity, adorned
with the jaguar's mark, and wielding a spear that glowed with white light. He
knew she was Baerinika, and though his memories remained shrouded, the purpose
she gave him was clear.
The village of Arkham, though small, had defenders and a guild of paladins,
who worshipped gods of justice and protection. When Sian saw them train,
wielding polearms and shields against the darkness that threatened their
land, something inside him stirred. The weapons, the movements, it all felt
familiar, though he could not say how or why. He asked to join them, his
great size and strength catching the attention of the village's captain, a
grizzled warrior named Asir. Though hesitant at first, Asir saw the potential
in the giant and agreed to train him, as long as Sian proved his devotion to
the path of light.
With a polearm in hand, Sian felt something click into place. The weight of
the weapon, the balance of its length as if he had held one a thousand times
before. Under Asirs guidance, he honed his skill, learning to sweep and
thrust with devastating force, his natural strength making him a formidable
fighter. But Sians path was not one of brute strength alone. He practiced
tirelessly, his mind focusing on the teachings of Baerinika that he saw in
his dreams reminding him the principles of courage, dedication, and the
path to purity. As he trained, those lessons became more than just dreams.
They became his truth.
In time, the captain recognized something extraordinary in Sian. The Light
of Baerinika flowed through the giant like the stormy seas themselves, a
force of both destruction and grace. It was this light that seemed to guide
his polearm in battle, that filled the gaps in his shattered memory. And so,
he was inducted into the order of paladins, sworn to protect the weak and
uphold the purity of Baerinikas teachings.
Love for the Light of Baerinika

One fateful night, the village was besieged by creatures from the darkness
and shadow; corrupted beasts twisted by something foul. The paladins were
few, and the villagers cowered in their homes as the beasts approached. Sian
stood tall among the defenders, his polearm gleaming in the dim moonlight.
Fear gripped the hearts of many, but not Sian. The Light of Baerinika surged
within him, a burning fire that gave him the strength to push back the
darkness.
With a roar, he charged into the fray, his polearm sweeping through the
monstrous horde with practiced precision. The creatures fell before him,
unable to withstand the might of his strikes or the power of his faith.
Each thrust, each blow, was guided by the purity of Baerinikas light. He
stood as a shield for the defenseless, as a protector against the dark.
Though the battle raged long into the night, the creatures could not
prevail. In the end, the village stood safe, and Sian, bloodied but
unbowed, raised his weapon to the sky, offering silent thanks to the goddess
who had given him purpose.
Even now, Sians memory remains fragmented, his past lost to the depths of
the sea. But as he walks the path of the paladin, the Light of Baerinika is
his guide. He fights not for glory, but for the purity of the cause, to
protect those who cannot protect themselves, and to honor the spirit of the
jaguar. Through his faith, he knows he will one day uncover the truth of who
he is, but until then, he stands firm in the light. A warrior. A protector.
A paladin of Baerinika.
It is better to Give

After prayer with Lady Baerinika in the ancient shrine, Sian left with
a renewed dedication to embody the virtues she preached. The Lady had spoken
of Charity and how virtues like generosity and courage gave purpose to life.
Taking her words to heart, Sian ventured out, determined to aid the suffering
and stand against those who spread darkness.
Traveling through towns and villages, he became the Benefactor of Charity. At
an The Inn of the Eternal star, he found a large crowd gathered, and seizing
the moment, he spoke of the light that kindness could bring to the world.
His words resonated, and hearts stirred. The High Herald and a lawman of the
Spire, known for his devotion to law, and others donated coins and supplies
to Sian's cause. With each coin he collected, he reaffirmed his commitment
to the paladin code: limiting his own belongings to what he needed and
giving the rest to those in need.
Sian spent days traversing the roads from Galadon to Voralia, then on to
Balator, always mindful of his duty to respect local laws and provide help
where he could. His presence brought relief to beggars, orphans, and even
stray animals along the way. In his journey, he upheld the code's charge to
offer guidance, never betray his comrades, and fight for worthy causes.
By the end, over a hundred gold pieces had been distributed, easing the
suffering of countless lives and inspiring many to seek a better path.
Through each act of charity and each battle fought to protect the innocent,
Sian grew closer to Baerinika's light, not only as a warrior but as a
guiding presence, true to his word and steadfast in dedication to his
radiant Goddess and his code.
