Role
Chapter 1 A simple peek into a simple but rowdy barmaid

I am Siphani Neriqui, an elf who grew up in Voralian. As I reached an
age of maturity and could work a job, I decided to work for the Knight's Crest.
It was a fun job, being a barmaid, bringing food and drinks, listening to
the stories from the adventurers, and just escaping the day to day with tales
of caves, dungeons, dragon slaying and so much more! It was something
I romanticized. The Knight's Crest also had a bard's guild, that I decided to join and
learn in my spare time.
On my days off, I tended to spend a lot of time in the Eternal star, enjoying
the passions and romantic stories they had to tell. Stories of love, adventure, triumph, defeat
and whatever you might could think of. I sat there like an eager kid wanting more. So I decided
that I'd make my own story, my own adventure. Many of tales I had heard were
of the Fortress, and their conquest to push back the wicked in Thera. This always
grabbed my attention. So I took my studies as a bard and set out on my adventure for such.
Talking about growing up in Voralian, I didn't really have a special upbringing.
I had a mother, and a father who tended to what they enjoyed in life. I was always a rough
girl, adventuring out and getting into mischief, but I always kept a good heart and
was quite passionate about what I liked to do. One of my fondest memoriest, and perhaps
why I drink it to this day, was the first time I tasted sweet mead. It made my elven ears perk
like no other. Of course I was a bit young the first time, but that didn't stop me
when I got older. Being a barmaid, I'd sometimes sneak a tankard, and well, I was known
as a barmaid that got rowdy with customers who started to get rowdy back, glad I joined
the bard's guild, cause they teach a bit about tavern brawling.

I suppose it's been a many years since I've jotted anything down.
Oh boy, has a lot happened since my days as a barmaid.
I set out on a journey to become a part of the Fortress, and I became a squire
at a very young age. I met this, well, not so charming dwarf. Marshall Gruntner
is his name, and he's old, reeks of ale, and oh such a lovely beard for a dwarf.
I'm personally use to the crumb filled bearded dwarf patrons when I was a barmaid.
He is a kind dwarf too, cares for his family in the fortress and is brave,
but his war ridden face seemed so filled with pain and despair, made me really
want to lighten up the mood and uplift passion and joy to this dwarf.
Since being a squire though, I've learned the difficulties of the traveled path.
War is painful, it is quite a hardship to face for any, but I live my life
drowning in two things... Mead and my own passion to bring love and joy to
those I fight with, though I hope I can keep willful in this journey and not become
so hardened.
I have not found a deity that is so fitting to me, which is disheartening, but
I...feel a connection between myself in Padwei. The first time I met her, it
was a beautiful experience, and she shares my thoughts on the troubles of
war and how we should keep joyful and share our love. I want to venture
into this, so I think I'll seek her out and and see if this lingering feeling is a
passion that will bellow into a radiant light for the Fortress.
By the way... mead is really difficult to stop drinking, it's just SOOOO DELICIOUS!

What have I done!? It feels as if every bit of passion has drained from me.
This once happy, joyful elf, wishing to spread passion amongst the fortress.
I feel she has escaped my heart, and only a feeling of grief and despair
lingers. I want that passion back... but I just don't know how.
I have listened and spoke with many about this incident, the one that tears my
heart asunder, leaving me wallowing in tears at night, having nightmares,
amongst other ailments in my mind. I just can't seem to get a hold of my
ever-so fleeting heart. The Cardinal even helped me in doing what I could
for the nomad tribe that experienced the pain of losing a loved one, even
though their glares were so cold and hurtful, I am glad I was able to do
something, even if it felt like nothing. The Captain shared this experience
with me, and has encountered it before, and yet I feel even more terrible as
my actions caused her to be a part of this as well. GODS I'M SUCH A SCREWUP!
Illy, my sweet elven sister, she, she helped me a lot with just sitting about
the inn, boozing and chatting. I giggled a few times, though the lingering
depression still weighed on my heart, she made me feel more at ease. She
is someone I'd consider no truer a sister to me than any, my little turkey!
If I didn't dread this feeling of being so lost, perhaps her deity's teachings
might have resonated with me.
I just hope, I pray, I plead that I can get my passion back, as I don't like this feeling of
grief. Time... they all say time is good for these situations..,. but I am
experiencing the now, not the then.
