Description
A langly and withered dark-elven mendicant stares at
you with a detached expression. Clouding her usual yellow
eyes is a thin film of white frost that flickers back
and forth, seemingly unused to bright light. Graying
shortened white hair flows unkempt across the aged-creases
on her forehead, crusted with dirt, grime, and spots of
tawny dried blood. Dangling around her neck is a bead of
strange trinkets, ranging from rat's teeth, dices, voodoo
dolls, and multi-color hair and fur matted with a putrid
liquid. Strewn across her body are ripped and tattered
mismatched clothes. Various pieces of rag-tag clothes
stitched together form the majority of her clothes, with
pieces of rusted or corroded armored stained with grime
and rotting food speckled in between the joints in an
uncomfortable way. Underneath the clothes appear to be
a health and lithe moonlight black form, a testament to
her success as a food scraping vagabond.
Engraved on two large rusted and corroded earrings
dangling from her elven ear is an ancient hieroglyphic,
appearing both inappropriate and appropriate based on
the haughty vagrancy that oozes from her presence.
Role
Blood Tribunal Dossier - Skaya Iskarion
Added Sun Jan 21 23:56:49 2024 at level 49:
**Unfurling a report filled with a list of codes, you use your
immortal eyes to pierce through the code-ridden report of the
Blood Tribunals**
Name: Skaya Isakarion
Race: Dark-Elf
Assessment (Initial): A self-proclaimed queen of the beggars, if
that is to be believed, she came to with a desire to represent
the lowest class of citizens in Galadon. A noble sacrifice and
vision to be sure, and well intentioned. She has a tenacity for
the dramatics when it's obvious that she is more well-off then
those scums in the sewers. Her actions are too haughty, and while
she acts under the guise of a beggar, there is too much mischief
behind her sight. She does, however, seem to have a strong sense
of justice and an admirable goal of uplifting the beggars of
Galadon, of training them to be special guards. While there are
some that may laugh at the loftiness, we do have an influx of
worthless beggars - why not let her proceed?
Assessment (Current): She has been an exceptional ally to Justice
and protecting Galadon. Even now our ranks of special guards are
swelling with numbers - where there is a lack of quality, there is
absolutely an increase in quantity. Curious though, however, that
within her confines we hear a lot of explosions, grunts of pain,
bloodcurling screams, and howls. Almost as if there are constant
experiments going on. Well, as long as she does her job as a
Magistrate, it should all go well.
The Executioner of the Iskarion
Added Mon Jan 22 00:01:04 2024 at level 49:
The Iskarion clan were once a strange group of mystics within the
Underdark. Far apart from worshipping the Spider Goddess, they were
mercenaries and advisors, often brought in to resolve disputes.
They seemed to be able to pierce multiple veils deep within the souls
of words, souls of the living, souls of the dead, and even souls of
the inanimate. Their take on the laws of the society was often
rather novel, but always with wisdom forethought. But in the cold
dank world of the Underdark, craftiness may become one's undoing,
especially if the craftiness is focused on other items.
Skaya was born with an insightful but cruel mindset. She was born
a lowly servant within the Iskarion clan, but her brilliance and
wisdom seems to outpace her masters. She was especially adept at
understanding the nuances of different items and seeing through
the veils of complexity. At a young age, she began to create traps,
just to understand and see them go off. Initially, they were used
to capture the giant rats of the Underdark that were raiding the
pantry. The Iskarions tolerated her tenacity for they were too
intrigued by what other mastery she might bring. They were especially
curious at the ways that her complex traps seemed to have a pattern,
almost as if perceiving the flow of life and death and understanding
the souls of the dead that she seemed to harvest through her traps.
However, a wildfire often cannot be tamed without a purpose. Soon,
they became too complex and too cruel, and she became not only the
Executioner of the Iskarions by experimenting her traps onto prisoners
and traitors, but also unto her peers. Through her mischieviousness
and hobby, a cascading sequence of traps erupted next to each other
, nearly bringing ruins to the Iskarion enclave. Horrified at what
she nearly done with her hobby to her masters and family and knowing
what vengeful wrath such would bring, Skaya fled the Iskarion clan
and the Underdark to the surface.
Graimid Derkinan and the Troupe of Beggars
Added Mon Jan 22 00:02:46 2024 at level 49:
After months of escaping, using her wits and craftiness by setting
traps behind her to elude the all-seeing Iskarions, Skaya finally
reached her destination - Galadon. Her contact had told her that
Graimid Derkinan would be able to introduce her into a different
society. She hid herself in the shadows, within the slums of the
slums, the poorest, most dejected, legal outcasts of the city. Where
she once fed on wine and rothe steak, she barely ate grubs and
grimes. Her once noble features became disgusted and covered with
feces and the worst kind. She self-reflected on her failures, her
clan, but most notably, on the new pawns before her. These dejected
mendicants were easily swayed by her cunning and her words. Even
the smallest amount of hope that she offered them were gobbled
without mercy. Each soul was not only rife for the takin, but also
for the molding to be her new hobby. The complexities of the traps
were still ingrained within her mind, but the complexity of the
minds of those who became a beggar were a lot more fascinating for
even a slight nudge brought about a fire cracker and explosion of
pain, suffering, fear, loathing, hatred, and love.
Months turned into years and the fear that she had for her life
diminished as the Iskarions appeared to recover. She never knew
if they forgave her, but she had found a new hobby - not a family,
for she will always be an Iskarion, but a new complexity to focus
on. For as a member of the Iskarion, the mystics of the Underdark,
the complexities of the soul is always the tastiest treat.
The Queen of Beggars - an Insidious Plan
Added Mon Jan 22 00:05:47 2024 at level 49:
Rumors spread in Galadon of a new Queenpin. Or a new Kingpin.
Or a shadow that appears, offering apples laced with rocks
that explode in the mouth. The beggars who seem to have
united under a common umbrella - not that of Graimid, but
another darker shadow. The Queen of Beggars they called her,
who's wiles and wits were without peer, who organized the
dejected mass into something ilicit.
Rumors always have a bit of truth in them, especially if the
one spreading them was Skaya. She had managed her pawns into
an army, with secret code and words, traces of dust, hideouts,
and the likes. But what she created was pursuant to the law,
for she found that hinderance of a greater design to be without
merit.
And what is that greater design? She needed some traction.
Bringing her pawns into the Tribunals is the first. Placing her
pawns as special guards so that she has control over both the
information network of the beggars and the information network
in the Blood Tribunal. The facade of a Beggar Queen, which is
true, is merely to cover the rest of her plan. Second, she will
seek to be the Queenpin of Galadon. Galadon is by far the main
hub of all of civilizations - understanding the inner workings
of the true shadows within Galadon, and having them under her
thumb, is key. Third, she will be the Vindicator or the
Provost of the Blood Tribunal. There, she will have mastery of
all - the lawful beggars, the citizens, the shadow and
underdealings, and the law.
And all of this, she will do under the guise of the poor and
the frail, or so it seems. For the grand design as a pecking
order, and she will always be a servant and an Executor of the
whims of the grand design. And within the grand design, is the
key to it all - to understand, and obey, Lord Destuvius. For
the complexities of the past, of the traps, of the souls,
ultimately lead to a pattern that only Lord Destuvius
understands, and she glimpses into.
