Description

This large giant before you stands 12 feet tall before you. At first glance you notice his gargantuan arms, which must have a lot of power to merely support them. As you look upon his face you notice a rather deep chipped out wound on his right cheek through his black encrusted skin. This wound resembles the mark of the mighty Blade. You notice his hands appear to be very scarred every which way, but the skin appears to be very tough and hard. His hair is a shade of very dark orange, with red streaks throughout. It hangs in a ponytail extending just below his shoulders.

Role

His Youth and his Upbringing

Added Fri Feb 4 11:32:17 2005 at level 51:
Skolgrar lived a life of many lows as well as highs throughout
his life even in his youth. He was born of the IronFist name
in Kiadanah-Rah as the art of working metal had been passed on
through many generations of his ancestors even. His father, being
a blacksmith, began to teach Skolgrar the ways of his art as well
as make certain he knew how to harness his great strength. As he
was supposed to take over where his father would leave off when he
grew too old. However, at a very young age a raging group of duergars
slipped into the depths of the Mountain in an attempt to enslave
as many giants as they could. Chaos ensued, body parts were flying left
and right, those of giants' and duergars'. Skolgrar watched it all
from the confines of his house just as a few duergars broke through
the door. They went straight for Skolgrar and shackled him up to
hinder his escape. As he screamed his father ran through the door
taking out a duergar on first impact. The duergars surrounded him
after they heard the death cry of their comrade. Alas they ganged up
on him and he was only able to take one of their lives with that of his
own as they decapitated him. I stared in awe at my father's head as
his eyes remained motionless, seemingly staring right back at Skolgrar.
With that the duergar put a blindfold on Skolgrar and took him and
a few other captives down into the deep folds of the Underdark.

The Underdark

Added Fri Feb 4 11:43:23 2005 at level 51:
Immediately as they removed the blindfold, Skolgrar was put right to
work within a mine, deep within the confines of the underdark. He was
attempting to gather his bearings as he slowly picked up the pickaxe,
until he felt the sharp lashing of the whip of a duergar that was there
to keep watch over him and his kinsmen. Skolgrar worked many hard years
in this mine, planning his inevitable escape as he knew his strength
would prevail in the end. He even began to use the work he was forced into
as training as he began to dig using just his barehands, toughening them up
past the point where his skin felt like leather, instead they felt almost
like the rockhard stone itself, or iron even. After many years of enduring
the workload, he finally found himself able to break the shackles using just
his raw strength and his rock hard hands. As he knocked the guard out right
away, the sensation of being free just forced him to start running aimlessly
through the Underdark, what felt like weeks was in fact only days, however
the wear on the mines alone could be seen on this giant's face. He marched on
though, eventually to find his way out and to see the sun for the first time in
all too long. He sat atop a waterfall and began to contemplate the state of
Thera amongst its chaos that forced him into that Underdark. After a while
he thought thoughts of great grandeur, as he saw a premonition (or a
hallucination of sorts from food, water, sleep deprivation) of bringing all of
Thera under one Order, one standard, one set of laws, as an attempt to unite
everyone. With force and strength such as his, this hallucination almost felt
like reality to him, as he could taste it. He wasn't exactly sure what adventures
would lay before him, but he would take them in stride and knew in the end his
strength would prevail.

The Decision of THE Order

Added Fri Feb 4 11:45:14 2005 at level 51:
After much travelling and a little progression through the warrior's guild ranks,
he came to know and study of the orders within Thera, that of the tribunals and
that of the Empire. After looking into the history of the Empire, he knew that
this was what he had envisioned so many years ago, as the tribunals were too weak
minded in truly enforcing their laws. Skolgrar knew his strength and smarts would
truly prevail amongst the Empire as he would enforce the Order of the Empire and
his mighty Divine Lord of Order, Khasotholas It did not take him long to realize
that the Empire's might wasn't quite apparent at the time of his bloodoath and
the years to come, however he knew in the end the Empire's Order would prevail and
the word and order of his great Lord would be known throughout the realms.

The Mighty Blades of the Empire

Added Fri Feb 4 11:51:25 2005 at level 51:
After gaining citizenship, he knew what must be done, not only for the sake of
the Empire, but also for his own progression through the ranks of the Blades.
The might of the Blades was very apparent from the start of his citizenship as
they truly were the backbone and always had been of the Empire. In keeping with that
he knew he would have to keep his failures to a minimum, which was hardly something
that he feared, as he knew his strength and faith would prevail in the end. He
progressed slowly but suredly through both the ranks of the Blades and amongst
his guild, gaining knowledge of anything and everything along his travels. Through
this even he faced many highs and lows, fighting against great odds, retrieving
often when he was able, and also there were times he was able to readily spread
the Order he respected so much of. All of these trials and tribulations only made
to strengthen the heart and soul of this fiery giant, making him steadfast in his
ways. Soon all would know of his might and as always that of the Blades. Soon all
would pay their respects to the great Dark Lords of the Empire and unto his Divine
Lord in Khasotholas. As he climbed the ranks he had a few that walked with him often,
of them included the former War Master in Growlow. Skolgrar knew he had the strength
to suceed, however he wasn't too sure of his tactics, whilst he still followed him
obediently, he knew Growlow was just elongating Skolgrar's inevitable claim to the
War Master's seat on the council, however he would reach the pinnacle of his guild
in the meanwhile and fine tune his skills in the process.

The seat of War Master and the coveted Throne

Added Wed Feb 16 11:52:47 2005 at level 51:
In what Skolgrar would see in weakness, Growlow foolishly took his own life, whilst
Skolgrar knew he never deserved the seat, he would have expected him to stand down
and obediently follow Skolgrar's lead just as he did unto Growlow. However, Skolgrar
was seemingly wrong in even saying Growlow had strength as he failed the Empire.
Shortly thereafter Skolgrar was given his rightful seat as War Master as he had
finally reached the pinnacle amongst the Blades. In turn he would keep the Blades
in strength, leading by both example and words as the Blades would continue to be
the backbone of the Empire. Now all that remained was his ascension to the Throne
to ultimately show the power of the Blades in having one take the Throne. Now all
he had to do was work toward winning his fellow sect leaders' votes for his ascension
the the Throne. This would express not only the true strength of his Blades and in
himself, but as well as spread the great Order of his Divine Lord Khasothlas to even
a greater extent as their is no current Emperor to do so.
