Description

A short and seemingly frail figure does not have any prominent muscles. Her small plump face is unremarkable in every way, except perhaps for the brightly lit blue eyes, sometimes hidden by longish black hair. The skin is almost unnatural in its whiteness, hinting at the lack of sun exposure and avoidance of physical outdoor exertion. The fast-moving arms are making weaving motions, almost without stopping.

Role

The rise of an aspiring mage

As she was born into a poor Hamsah family, Sqierna never had enough 
in her childhood. Whether it's food or toys, she was always deprived.
In poverty and misery her path was charted until a fateful incident.
As always in her early teens, Sqierna was slinking around the busy market, 
looking to steal more to eat while the farmers weren't looking, when she 
noticed a fairly fat robed figure struggling to bring an entourage of his
magical beings under control and gesticulating wildly, shouting strange things.

That was not unusual, but what was noticeable is an exposed wallet on the fool's
outside, dangling by a string attached to his inner pocket. How he was not relieved 
of it earlier was a miracle and Sqierna did not let miracles pass her by.
Quickly moving by, she sliced off the wallet with her small dagger and disappeared
into the crowd. Taking a few switchbacks and making sure she wasn't followed, 
Sqierna went to the docks to acquire fish and perhaps a few treats for the whole family.

Imagine her surprise when, almost onboard Carli's boat, an invisible hand
matearilized and grabbed her shoulder. Trying to shake free, Sqierna raised her
eyes only to see the aforementioned robed mage staring coldly at her. 
Calmly, he has demanded his wallet back and after futile protests, drew a rune
in the air that made the wallet glow and became hot to the touch. 
Sqierna succumbed and drew it out of her bosom to hand over. 

Very surprised, she inquired as to how she was found. 
The mage told her of the planar magic, able to trace matter in this plane.
Further, detecting a gleam in Sqierna's eyes, he told her of inter-planar magic,
able to bring matter between the planes, but advised of the dangers.
Forever entranced, Sqierna entered the conjurer guild as an apprentice and never looked back.
Seeking to learn to control those powerful forces and turn it to her benefit
became Sqierna's overarching goal in life. Never would she forget the power of 
finding a wallet remotely, nevermind the fabled devils and demons.

The greed

As Sqierna grew in power, she started to feel the desire for more.
As the first spells rolled off her tongue, she seeked to learn the next ones.
As the first real money found their way to her, she lusted for riches.
As she was able to acquire better clothing, she wanted to relish in the best.
This came mostly from having next to nothing most of her life, but also
from somewhere deep inside, it's as if something she always wanted has
started to come alive and Sqierna didn't want to lose that feeling.

She'd decided to earn her money and fame at the employ of the cities,
as that would seem to be an easy job to do, while earning good money.
And to maybe use the loot from those seeking to cross the laws for herself.
Money, power and riches await Sqierna on her path.

Moriata

As Sqierna grew in power and in wealth, she decided it was time 
to make a name for herself, a last name reflective of her newly found
proud status of Supplicant of Greed. No one previously bothered to assign 
her or her family a last name. That was reserved for rich folk. 
Now Sqierna was the rich folk, Sqierna Moriata.

Aspirations

As Sqierna grew in the Church, becoming a Priestess of Greed, and in the knowledge
of the arts, learning the mastery of the devils, she started to seek the improved 
position within the Spire. With the goal of being the Vindicator for the utmost power,
she will settle as a Provincial for the time being, and started to position herself
as a candidate to the new Provost, Karvesh. His apparent softness and lack of ambition
might be the limiting factor, thus whether he'd make a good base for the Church 
remains to be seen. In time, perhaps.

Meanwhile, in the Church, while having arranged the conversion of the previous 
Provost, Luci, it appears he never bothered to follow through in his senile state.
Promised, but never fulfilled, the Greed yearns for more inside, together with Rage.
Someone or Somemany will have to pay before it is somewhat sated. Perhaps.
