Description
Mottled grey scales tinged with faint hues of silver ripple
along the sinewy frame of the bipedal reptilian creature.
Two large richly yellow eyes strain against the confines of
his skull, the ridged protrusions of his sockets disproportionately
large relative to the case of his skull. A thin toothy snout terminating
at a dull point nearly six inches from the brow, the overall length
of his head spans nearly a foot in length in total. Just above
the mouth two narrow openings appear to serve as nostrils, though
he seems to primarily breath through his mouth which lazily hangs agape
periodically. His stature is somewhat dwarfed by the natural inclination
of his limbs to bow at the joints, as if carrying indefinitely burdened
by an immensely heavy, albeit invisible, load of short pants fresh from
the wash cradled within his taut sinewy muscles.
a threadbare and dusty off-white apron is tied off around his waist,
dangling between the bow of his legs like a loincloth. It is stained
white with a mealy white powder. You note that he is not completely
nude beneath the apron, a thin pair of cheesecloth briefs cradle his
delicacies.

In the heart of Ysigrath there is a great dichotomy between
life and death. Aeons have passed since man first laid eyes on the
reptilian kinsmen of the great swamps. Only in recent days have these once
solitary beasts warmed their cold blood to the endeavors of their
warmblooded neighbors.
Within the K'sra identity only the living, or Sra, is acknowledged amongst
proper tribal society. This has led to an interesting take on culinary
delight. That which is weh, or otherwise known to the common theran as dead
is all but imperceptible to a true advocate of life, such that the
most devout among the K'sra is. This leads to a question then.
If a K'sra does not acknowledge the dead, what does he eat?
Naturally he would only be capable of eating that which yet still lives.
Mosses, algaes, the fleshy membranes of a glaurak spawning ground.
and the myriad of insects one would collect in his hide agape slack jaw.
But once a culture reaches a certain maturity and strives for more beyond
simply sustenance new genres of culinary cuisine must be discovered.
Enter, Sransidi.
One born among the many offshoots of traditional saurian culture
Sransidi has moved on from the bogs in order to expand the epicurean
delights of his people's palate, as well to enrich that of the warmblooded
theran races with his own. Perfecting pidgin fusion of K'sra and Sz'weh
delicacies he has fashioned himself a merchant of reptilian flavor.
Succulence is his currency, recipes his wealth. He sets out three-toed
foot by three-toed foot into the greater world of culinary conquest.
The gist of it (CHARACTER SUMMARY)

Sransidi is an intensely curious saurian. He left the saurian village
in order to learn and experience as much as possible.
He has a passion for cooking in a traditional saurian fashion, which is
to say very crude and primitive, and quite repulsive to man.
He is very open to ideas, especially when it comes to cooking.
Sransidi intends to become a herald to maximize his experiences and to
delight the tongues of all he encounters.
As a student of cuisine Sransidi most identifies with the sphere of Knowledge.
Sransidi chose to become a warrior both for his own preservation and in
part to reject the limitations of the more primitive nature oriented guilds.
As well his is not particularly war-minded to be suited toward the shamanic
path.

Some years have passed since Sransidi first stepped foot outside
of the soupy swamps he once called home. Since then he has been
many places and met many interesting people. Among them a ragtag
band of historians/entertainers whom he now calls family, not by blood
of course, but bound by a shared passion for the connections they build
with all they encounter. Sransidi has taken up residence among them as
a chef, one of two even! And in the long midnight hours toiling at
the oven he has grown beyond his rather primitive methodology of cooking
and now can truly claim a broadly saurian/human fusion menu.
Though nothing could ever deprive him his love of bugs, he has at least
tempered his use in such a way as to accentuate their unique properties
without the immediate revulsion of his warm-blooded patrons.
Aside from his culinary inclinations Sransidi has developed his martial
prowess. Seeing the art of war as much a worthy endeavor outside of the kitchen
as in. He hopes to one day be known as both a great chef and a great warrior.
He has even taken to the fine craft of correspondence. Though the nuances
of Theran grammar and diction at times escape him he wields a pen with
the same reverence as he would a sword, or more aptly a spatula.

There were once many aspirations held by one known as Sransidi Softbelly.
Chiefly among them had always been mending the bonds that tie all living
creatures through food, overcoming barriers of creed, heritage or morality
judged at a glance. Subverting the deeply held beliefs of those around not
through blood nor speech but through the gut. In his years Sransidi has come
to recognize the many different paths Therans take. Some of which he has come
to close himself off to and shun, however few they may be.
Another thing he has come to realize is that Therans are stigganly held firm to
their beliefs, no matter how illogical they are. Even the most persuasive orator
would find himself at a loss for words were he to try to convince the common Theran
of an alternative point of view.
Sransidi no longer wishes to change the hearts of those he meets. To understand
their lives is enough, though perhaps less glorious than he once imagined life
beyond the swamps to be.
The fruits of his labor have been both praised and reviled in his time
serving the Inn as chef. Sransidi never sought to admiration of any for his
dishes, but now even less so. Whatever another's eyes see him to be is of no concern.
His life is his own and it will be on his terms, and it shall end on them.
