Description
Rugged is the best word to describe this talk elvish
man. His weathered skin is dark from days spent under
the hot sun. His hands are calloused and weathered.
Though seemingly young for one of his race, this gives
him a more aged appearance. His deep green eyes shine
with an inner glow. His hair is the color of flax, and
falls loosely just below his shoulders. Various small
twigs and even some small leaves can be seen if you
look closely enough. Topping six and a half feet in
height, his frame is well muscled and toned. His
ears come to sharp points and stick out from beneath
his hair. Looking closer you are able to see that....
Role
The People
Added Tue Sep 24 08:27:22 2013 at level 1:
Talindaeth was young, by the telling of his people. Barely
able to leave his mothers gaze. The People, long ago lost,
we but a hollow shell now. Most never lifting their gaze
from the ground. Their wills broken, their spirits lost.
Years in servitude to a High Lord of the Empire, the People
had long forgotten who they were. The young taken from their
parents early, to camps where they were retrained. But his
mother, for some reason hid him. She knew of a system of
caves not far from the village. Hiding her pregnancy, she
raised him in and around those caves.
He was different, he found out, when she finally brought him
back to the village. The same age as many of those young ones
who returned from the camps. Both physically and philosophically,
he knew that he had something they didn't. He hid his mannerisms
well, knowing that discovery would mean punishment for his
mother, and likely death for him.
When he was able, he would escape into the wilds, back to the
caves that served as his nursery. Back to the wild roots of
the People. Once known as the People of the Jaguar....
The Last.

It was one of those rare nights. Talindaeth had managed
to sneak off to his caves. He was exploring again, thinking
that he had seen all there was to see, he was surprised
tonight to come across an unfamiliar branch in the tunnels.
Moving cautiously into the tunnels, he could hear something,
a faint whisper of a voice perhaps. He continued down into
the tunnel, until he came close to an opening. His vision
acute in the darkness, he could make out the faint flickering
of a small lamp. The sounds appeared to be coming from inside.
He crept silently to the edge of the entry, and carefully peered
inside. There was a man there. Wearing a robe that seemed
oddly large for his frame. Standing before a small altar he
appeared to be conversing with a dark, beautiful jaguar. The
jaguar made no noise, but its eyes seem to hold a strange
intelligence.
"He's not ready" said the man.
"He must be. He is alone now, it is done, the People are no
more. He cannot return, we must set his path now." came a
disembodied voice, the Jaguar nodded in affirmation.
"I see. Then his path must be set. Come here boy, you cannot
hide from us. It is time." said the man
Unsure of what was transpiring Talindaeth stood and moved into
the small cave.
A pressure from somewhere pushed at him, trying to keep him
from entering. But he knew that he must push past. With a
force of will, more than muscle, he pushed past the force
and stumbled a bit as he entered the cave.
The man, turning to him began to hum softly.
"You are the Last. The Last of the People of the Jaguar,
your people taken from you, first in spirit, and now in flesh,
you are their last beacon of hope in this world. In you
lies their future. In you, lies their past. It is you
who will bring forth their way into the Lands once again."
came the incorporeal voice.
Turning towards Talindaeth the mans robe fell to the ground
revealing stark white angelic wings. Tracing runes in the
air towards Talindaeth the man once again began to hum.
"It is done. I shall teach him, and when ready he shall
walk out into the world a new man, a Priest such as his Kin
have never seen before." said the Archangel.
The Path.

Over the years that passed, Talindaeth learned much of what
his people were from the Archangel. He learned that they were originally a
group of Elves that left Darsylon to make a new home. One
that followed Her, and her teachings. Once a proud and noble
group of warriors and priests, they were all but destroyed
by the armies of the Empire, who came to their lands seeking
riches to support the ever growing populations. Long ago
in a fierce battle, fraught with dark magics and darker intentions
the warriors of the People fought to the Last, hoping to save
their way, and their people, but in the end, one from within
betrayed them all. The Warlord in charge took to breaking those
who remained. Destroying all remnants of their religion, so
as to ensure that none would rise against him again.
The night of terror, the night that Talindaeth was put on his
path, the Warlord saw that his coffers could grow no more, that
this land had been stripped for all that it would offer. That
night he ordered his soldiers to lay waste to the village and
all who lived within. Only Talindaeth survived the Purge.
The People of the Jaguar embrace her tenants in all that they
are. They are courageous in battle, pure in mind, body, and spirit
and most of all fierce combatants. In departing from the fold
that was Darsylon, they also learned to live in closer harmony
to the land than their cousins could ever have hoped to achieve.
They gave up many of the trappings of civilization, realizing
that many of these are what lead to the darker paths. Reliance
on others for support, growing soft in villages and towns, these
lead to a softening of their Kin. The Way of the People is
now Talindaeths way.
Roleplay Summary
Added Tue Sep 24 08:31:23 2013 at level 1:
Talindaeth is the last of his People. This weight is immense
for the young elf. He is new to the lost ways, but endeavors
to work things out, and become a mouthpiece to the world.
He will find himself seeking the blessings of Baerinika to
continue his quest to learn the Ways of of his People.
He is brash, and brazen in many ways, and much more aggressive
than most of his Darsylonian kin.
Talindaeth believes that many have grown soft, and as part of
this softness have strayed from the path of the Light. It
is in this that he finds harmony with the Refuge. He will
endeavor to preach the way of the Jaguar with the way of
the Refuge as one.
The path knows no Code, and adheres to only a few basic tenets.
First, the Wicked should be shown no quarter. Second, the Light
should be protected where ever it is. Lost to his Darsylonian
Kin, Talindaeth will follow the path of the Shaman of the Jaguar.
One who will channel the destructive might of his Lady to destroy
the Wicked wherever they may lay.
Of Courage and Purity
Added Thu Oct 3 08:11:13 2013 at level 26:
The Tenets of His faith.
First, do no harm to those of the Light. This will require courage because
the Spire has those who will be at odds with him who are of a goodly
nature. It will keep him Pure, as he will never do harm to one who
is goodly in nature.
Second, no rest for the wicked. The wicked have been judge by the Gods,
and in as much as their auras continue to glow red, they will find no
aid from Talindaeth. This will meld courage and purity in that the
Refuge accepts those who would climb the Reavers branch.
Third, Share without fear. The tenets of the Path of the Jaguar have
been lost for a long time. It is time to have the Courage to share
them with those who will listen. To show them the path to Purity
through self sufficiency. To help them to understand how to become
stronger and more Pure by following the path.
