Description

Before you stands a handsome man with golden blonde hair and an almond-shaped sapphire gaze and up-swept ears. His face is startlingly handsome, with a well chiseled jaw line. A proud hawkish nose lends an air of nobility and aristocracy to his already striking features. Broad shoulders lead into strong arms which in turn lead to smooth, strong hands. His torso is tapered and his lower body fit. From his pate is strung a long single braid of rope that he often drapes over a shoulder and worries with his fingers as he thinks. His sapphire gaze is at once distant and acute, for he seems lost in thought but the discerning observer might note that he is observing something from the oblique.

Role

Dust in the Wind

Having resigned himself to the fact that he is of no use to his King at the
moment, Tallanalas now wanders about, habitually making allies of old enemies
and enemies of old allies.

The Queen is Dead.

Added Wed Mar 28 10:26:14 2007 at level 51:
Tallanalas wept openly as the body of the queen was carried past by the royal
guard. Her beauty was still divine and she looked as if she merely slept but
this sleep held a since of eternity that was so great it was felt by all who
watched her pass.

Behind her were the bodies of her handmaidens who too had fallen as well as
the enshrouded forms of her Shieldmaidens, their lives sold at so horrific a
price that their features could not be revealed.

Perhaps as a testament to the love of life and beauty the elves had, many
voices keened even louder as the dead Shieldmaidens passed . Mourned for
their lost lives and their bravery, the like of which would become the stuff
of legend.

An Imperial raiding party had managed to infiltrate Darsylon and subsequently
the palace. The battles were epic, with even the guild masters mustering
forth to repel the assault, but in the end, the King returned flushed with
victory only to fall stricken as he found his queen slain.

Where is he?

Added Tue Mar 20 18:53:18 2007 at level 51:
The King broke the wax seal and gently flecked away the crumbs. With a fond
smile at his eldest Daughter Elaeriellalanthalasa Aye'lya Darsylonathas, he
began to read.

A frown crossed his lips.

Well my dearest, it seems our woods are not so distant from the machinations
of mankind as they once were. Their numbers grow while our longer lived ones
diminish.

A sad look crossed the aged Kings features as he looked upon his Daughters
wistful look as she gazed out across the treetops of her Home land.

Though she didnt say it, the wise King could hear her Thoughts, What
was he doing now?

He knew who -He- was.

End Time in Service

Added Sun Mar 18 03:38:17 2007 at level 51:
The elven youth came to a slidding halt in front of Tallanalas.

Sir, a missive from King Adrianar!

Breaking the seal Tallanalas smiled exuberantly and spun into a series of
dances.

The Message read simply.

Tallanalas, your words have been heard and measured. What the result of your
efforts may be, remains to be seen. You may carry on as you see fit as your
service is no longer required. Should your people need you I ask that you let
us call upon you in dire times.

Affixed to the bottom is the impossibly long name of King Adrianar.

Tallanalas hastily scrawled his own note and handed it to the Elven youth
and, spinning on his heal, called down the halls of the Spire for the
Provincial Maethron.

Gold coin in hand the young elf returned to his group and began their long
journey back to Darsylon.

Absense Makes the heart grow fonder.

Elaerielle combed her hair and gazed dreamily at her mirror. She looked at
her face and wondered if Tallanalas Ardan faenril De Arc truly found it as
please to look upon as he claimed.

Her feelings for him confused him, for, while a Noble, was he truly of a High
enough station that her father, King Adrianar, would allow him to court her?

She sighed the dreamy sigh of smitten young girls of nearly every race before
rising and moving out of her quarters into the Palace commons.

She noted Kallasthalas and Pallantryn making their rounds and moved to
intercept them. They knelt respectfully as she approached and she accepted
her dues and bade them rise.

Kallasthalas, Have you Heard from Tal? She asked with startling
informality.

Somewhat astonished at the Princesses intrest in his younger brother,
Kallasthalas struggled a moment to respond, Not in recent months though I
understand he has gained some measure of renown outside of our gates. I know
he dearly misses Home.

Here he pauses with a speculative look, And perhaps not just because he
misses our Mother.

With a Slight blush the Princess curtsied and bade the two guards farewell
before hurrying to her fathers side.

An hour or so latter she left having slyly put it into her fathers thoughts
that perhaps it was time to call the Elven champion home.

A Missive for the King.

Added Thu Mar 1 14:37:03 2007 at level 42:
My King and Queen,

May these words find you with the renewal of your lives and in highest
spirits. It is with my most sincere appreciation that I send to you this
account of my observations.

As you undoubtedly know, the Tribunal has several laws and methods at their
disposal for the apprehension and dispatching of criminal elements within the
5 major cities of Man.

They showed a remarkable wisdom in first delineating their boundaries and
assigning posts to their members. They apply their laws only to those
criminals they find within sight of their designated protectors. This not
only ensures the protection of applicable citizenry, but prevents the
impression of a Tyranny on the surrounding lands.

As I reflected on it, I noted that it mirrors our own way on some level.

To get to the gist of the matter, there are two things that I think a Ward of
our people might find to benefit him greatly. The ability to mark, by your
decree, a person as an Exile from Darsylon. As such our guard and sentries in
the vale are to set upon them as they do the Orcs and Dark-Alfar.

Secondly, the Guilds must acknowledge your sovereignty and a Wards posting
and Allow him entrance within their walls. Both as a matter of refuge and
execution.

I have taken these ideas directly from the ways of the Blood Tribunal and
believe they could be incorporated, with your blessing, to create a more
capable defense force for our people.

As I am coming to the end of my scroll and wish not to take away from your
duties providing for us, I will sign of for now and return to my post.

I await eagerly the day I am released from this charge though, I can not lie.
I do not enjoy living among so many uncouth people. Even Maethron, the Elven
Provincial is in someway touched by oer long exposure I fear.

I would also like to extend a warm greeting to the Princess before I affix my
signature. I bear her image with me where ever I am as an inspiration.

Tallanalas Second Son of House Faenril De Arc

An update.

Added Fri Feb 23 17:52:44 2007 at level 32:
Tallanalas Faenril De Arc! What are you doing in the Palace! Please tell me
you have official business her so that I can talk to you longerthan the
time it takes me to escort you out!

Tallanalas looked up to see Palantryn Alendyr, the Eldest son of House
Alendyr and friend to his older Brother Kallasthalas.

Greetings Palantryn! Yes my business is official, for the King and Queen
themselves!

A short time latter after Tallanalas briefly explained his goings on to his
friend he found himself before his King and Queen, explaining his time away.

Hrm.. Tallanalas, I myself recall that my husband wanted you to have a
posting within the Spire of the Blood Tribunal. Yet you say you have not been
able to?

This is correct Milady, I have not, though I have gained some measure of
notoriety within their walls and I am confident that when their Provost
returns from his Sojourn I will have a Posting, though I am told it will be
in Seantryn Modan.

A moment of silence followed with the King and Queen staring deeply into each
others eyes.

You have been reported to have suffered some rather ignominiousdefeats at
the hands of our enemies, one in our very temple noted the King.

Do not fail us Tallanalas by wasting your body ion the pursuit of Glory. The
reputation of your house and the safety of the Homeland is at steak. If you
must fight, fight well, but preserve yourself. Whatsmore be discrete in your
activities. They need not know your Loyalties truly remain here.

It will be some My Liege spoke the second son of House Faenril De arc

Dismissed

A call to service.

Added Sun Feb 18 15:10:46 2007 at level 6:
Call forth the 2nd son of House Faenril-de-arc commanded

The doors to the audience chamber swung open and a young eleven noble from
the reputable house strode confidently forward before dropping into an
exaggerated courtly bow.

My King he spoke, Father sends with me his well wishes to you and our
Queen your House and as such all our people. May your lives spring eternal
and carry Elven-Kind to the ends of time.

Thank you Master Tallanalas, when you return to your father take to him our
own good tidings in return. He is a dear friend to the crown and well I
remember the days when House Faenril-de-arc marched with me.

Despite his efforts the young elf swelled with pride at the accolades his
king gave his father.

Turning serious, the king spoke, The Steward tells me your House sent you
to Court with word on the massacre in the Vale of Arendyl.

--My King, the tidings are grave, nay, tragic. Over the last summer, small
bands of brigands have been raiding deep into the vale. Some seem to have
even disguised themselves through guile and sorcery and entered our very city
and plied our guild!--

At this many gathered in the court uttered angry words and even a shout of
dismay.

The King nodded his understanding but revealed nothing of his feelings.
Where are they coming from?

My brother and sons from Houses Alendyr, and Faerithian as well as the healer
Arandalan from the vale tracked a band far to the south and dispatched them
before they could reach the sanctuary of Galadon, from which they presumably
came.
Applause and words of approval reached this announcement.

As it faded the King spoke, Too long now have our young walked from our
lands to sell themselves to other nations and die for people not their
own.

Utterances of Hear here, and general angry consent followed the kings
words.

It shames me to say that the pride of our nation has dimmed, (Here he holds
up a hand to forestall protest) It is true, why else do our young reject us
and adopt the ways of humanity?

Silence

Tallantalas, tell your father I need his service once more. With it I will
require yours as well.

My King speak your wish and I will tell him!

Tell your father, I need his second son, to leave our beloved Darsylon and
act as my eyes and ears within the communities of the Humans. You are forever
Elven, and never forget that, but gather insight into their laws and customs
while holding onto your identity. You are not an emissary or an ambassador,
you are an observer. What you return to us will be held with great weight
against how we govern this, our homeland, in the future.

Later that day the Young Elf strode to his fathers own court with a scroll
tube bearing the royal seal and, in part, his future for some time.
