Description
Light gray plumage covers most of this slim arial. His beak is of the same
hue but an orange area of skin, bereft of feathers, forms something of a
mask around his eyes. He cocks his head and large black orbs scan the
surroundings. A harness keeps his armor and thin backpack close to his
body to allow greater freedom for his large wings. They are tipped with
long black feathers that splay apart as the wings expand and contract. His
head turns swiftly once more and he appears to be listening intently for
signs of danger. With a clack of his hooked beak he is quite ready for
battle, though a warrior he is not. Talismans hang about his neck and
wands are nestled in his chest straps.
Role
Alcove

His parents were absent from much of his youth. They chose a life of dinner
parties and adult interests over nurturing a young arial. Tartys was left
with the best tutors money could buy. He has grown now and has an apathy for
the interests of his parents. He avoids high society, name, and position. He
seeks neither fame nor fortune. The reclusive and ever watchful conjurer
keeps away from the political struggles that are common in Thera. He delves
into books and seeks relics of historical nature. Curious and intelligent he
is a disciplined mage that seeks quiet recesses of the hidden and the arcane.
Opportunity

After traveling for a time with various imperials an
understanding of citizenry has come. As conjurer
without title, without position, but protected as a
citizen, Tartys sees an opportunity to live within society
in comfort while remaining out of harms way. Joining
the Empire seems appropriate.
Ambitions rise
Added Thu Nov 14 07:59:29 2013 at level 41:
It is better to pull the strings than to be the puppet. As a watcher, an
advisor, and as a member of the Imperial Council, Tartys wishes to work
behind the scenes within the Empire, avoiding any direct responsibility
or public wrath.
The guild of Conjuration would gain respect within the Empire with the
proper representation. This would make an already mighty Empire stronger.
It is better to rule than destroy. Threaten and punish to gain the
former, but to destroy all is a path too close to chaos. It is a true
pleasure to rule over the weak and the disobedient. To work out the
stress of the day one can comfortably don gauntlets and begin the
steady process of lessons that only the recipient can truly appreciate.
