Description
This gnome has been formed, created by something to be a unique individual
never before seen in these lands, at least not in its' entirety. Some may
call what has been done monsterous or barbaric, as his arms and legs have
been removed, and replaced with solid earth and stone that ripples as if
they were muscles themselves. With no hair on his head, it can be seen that
his head has been cut into, not just as having been scalped but that even
some of his skull has been removed and put back on, then sewn shut by skilled
hands. While looking strong with his visible changes, buts of rotting flesh
can be seen on him, and hanging limply off waiting to fall to the ground,
making him seem to already be dead in some fashion, yet still animate.
Role
Next generation of constructs.

I am the master enchanter, he who brings new life to the lifeless, animation to the mundane, and purpose to
waste byproducts of life. I have managed to complete my newest creation, a construct with no will of his own nor
emotions, only a need to fullfill his masters wishes. As with all constructs should this test become successful in nature
will be sold as other constructs or hired mercenaries, but capable of more tasks than other specimins incapable of
thought. Having no will or other desires, thought processes are reactionary and not a function given to living members of
his race or any other, but a new breed of construct.
Creation has required a corpse as the dead have no true sense of self, and no higher brain function such as even being
capable of realizing it was once a living being, only acceptance that he exists. Some needs from the living carry over to
death, oddly such as survival, and their own well being. But each is diminished that on command should its' master
decide he should die, this one would obey and commit suicide on the spot. Hopefully my gift is not mistreated in this fashion.
This test will demonstrate whether or not the magic will hold indefinately, though minor changes may need to be
made in case this construct starts remembering anything from his life, as currently nothing is but his death.
I will gift this construct to Provost Malthius, as a judge of the living, its abilities, and to be known by all for its'
performance, as I need all data for my research.
This construct does not have a true identity in death, so will always refer to himself as test golem, despite his shortened
name being tego, or this construct, especially when formulating a thought in response to a question.
Success so far

I, master enchanter, am amazing. My construct is amazing. However over extended periods I must renew the enchantments
allowing him to remain animate, esoecially its' earthen arms and legs. Most constructs have a limited lifespan
truthfully so more needs bought and my pockets become lined with gold, so latter constructs will not need this, as
they will be meant to expire. The magic forcing his mind to respond to activity and words is far more advanced than other
constructs that can bash, rescue and do other extremely basic tasks, but it does not allow him to think to actively lead
or conduct interviews, as speaking to applicants is truly, just a line of text, accomplishing the order. This seems to
be the only grasp he has of that line when it comes to following its masters will. For myself that is fine, a construct
and future generations of this model should not think for themselves anyway. The rot affecting its flesh has
continued to spread only slightly, and within its brain curiously none can be found, even within the areas that should
not be active at all after death.
The trick will be to limit the mind to a few spells, or if warrior corpses are used, abilities that are just strong enough
to be useful, but to leave ability further down the line for upgraded constructs still, far more valuable to fund my
wonderous creations.
