Description
This is a tall member of the firstborn, standing at 6'5''. Slender and
gracefull, he is athletically built, muscular, but by no means a muscle
brute. His features are highly chisselled and sharply angular, highly
elven and definitely handsome. His hair is a deep golden blonde and
worn long, cascading in a golden sheet around his shoulders. His
eyes are startling, a warm hazy blue with a genuine sparkle,
seeming to constantly reflect the stars, so beloved of the firstborn.
His skin, like all elves is pale, yet not unhealthy looking, rather
vibrant and clean, unmarked by time, scar or blemish. He is
dressed finely, yet not extravegantly, rather in the practical
yet fair garb prefferd by the firstborn of Voralia, and indeed, the
stars of the Voralian order can be seen, marking cuffs and collars.
Role
Teleon.

A long time has passed for Teleon, bringing many changes and many
surprises. Essentially, he is the same person he always was, though
he is somewhat grittier...No one can serve in the Spire as long as
he has without becoming slightly irritable at whining. He still believes
people are all good deep down, the only difference is...He now
suspects that on top, a lot of them are incredibly anoying, though
still deserving a chance. He has done and said things himself, he is not
proud of, has come to realise to has his own petty side.
He has risen through the Spire's ranks, and though belonging to a
faith known for its ambition, has no need for further promotions, he
realises that postion is over rated...not that he wouldn't accept an
higher post, he simply doesn't judge his worth, or service by title.
He does have one burning ambition remaining, however. He craves to be
in his Goddess' presence, to hear her thoughts on his service. He knows
this is weak, but sometimes he doubts his service. Having only been
in his patrons presence once, when very young is something in his
darker times, he has twisted to mean quite a few nasty things. He knows
this is silly, he is confident of his service, but he recognises his
need as well.
Love in the law.

***The following is a small section from a missive sent his
father, touching on his decision to seek enlistment in the Spire***
....which is why I refuse to eat duck.
You asked in your last missive about my choice to enlist in the Spire?
I have several reasons, truth be told. Firstly, I see it as an extension
of my duties within the Voralian Order, I do so hope I can manage a
Voralian posting at some point in my career. Secondly...who better to
protect the innocent then a lover of the people, someone who actually
cares? To many I suspect, enlist for power. While I expect to rise quickly
I'm not seeking for position, rather to serve. I could see our Lady
Voralia with a magistrates badge. Thirdly...I intend to hunt out the
corrupt, in the Spire, these fellows need to be watched, for their own
sakes as much as the innocent persons. I did, for a long time believe
my path lay with the acolytes...but on reflection...I can do an acolytes
work, and help make the streets and Spire safe. If you wish to achieve
great things, you must set yourself great goals!
Did I ever mention I managed to locate the Goddess' bathhouse, it...

In the high elven form,
Ar'dan; denoting son of the house
Aradanthas.
Ar; Denoting royal.
adan; usually for human, but also man.
thas; the traditional ending in elven naming convention.
Literally Aradan denotes king's man, not that they are royal. The title
was given due to the houses long service as ambassadors and envoys for
the king.

****The following is the letter of introduction, Teleon forwarded to
to the Spire.****
Hail Spire,
Know that I, Teleon Ar'dan Aradanthas do here offer myself up as
applicant for enlistment among your ranks. I am a templar, squire of
the Voralian Order, ardent follower of the paladin's code, student of
the laws, and finally, but far from least, a priest of Lady Rayihn.
I offer myself up for interview, and scrutiny, and eagerly await
speaking with you, my future comrades.
A prayer on paper.
Added Thu May 31 02:54:17 2007 at level 17:
How does one approach their divinity through missive? How can you
raise a prayer on paper...I will confess I am uncomfortable with the
concept.
Hear my prayer, however, I beg you Goddess, and smile on my service and
supplication. I have felt you beside me for years now...so feel more
telling you of myself is more then a little redundant...I will however
briefly explain myself, and my motives for the presumption of wishing
to join your clergy.
I am of the firstborn, yet a child of Voralian city, born, and aside
for a brief education in Darsylon, raised there. I am a squire of the
Voralian Order, and I pray soon to be a templar, serving you.
Shall I speak...pen of my reasons for wishing to serve you?
Most simply put, then. I believe, to truly walk in the light, is to love.
My father raised me, to walk, as he put it, always in beauty. There is
nothing in Thera, above or below, more fair and beautiful, then genuine
love. It is the mother of compassion and charity, it is the light made
manifest.
As I serve in our Voralian Order, we are urged ever to emulate our
wonderous martyr and patroness the Lady Voralia. In emulating her, I
am filled with the love your teachings embody. There is no higher, no
higher or purer example of love then that demonstrated by our martyr,
what greater example is there, then to sacrifice ones self to protect
the home and people you love? In emulating our lady, I grow ever closer
to you, my Goddess.
Smile on my service, Goddess, I pray...and will continue to pray.
Your adoring servant.
Teleon.
****The above was the missive Teleon penned to the faithfull of the
goddess, that it could reach her ears through their prayers.***
Love in the light.

***The following is a small section from a missive Teleon sent his
father, touching on his decision to seek the Goddess Rayihn***
...and hopefully will be able to attend.
You asked over my choice in ministry in your last missive, and I have
decided to stay true to my origional calling. I see so much in the
Goddess. Surely, father, to walk in the light, is to love. Have you not
yourself urged me to walk always in beauty? What can truly embody beauty
more then love. Surely our blessed matyr, the Lady Voralia is of the
goddess' household, and as I seek to emulate the Lady, so I come closer
to the Goddess. Who can doubt our martyr's sacrifice was inspired by
her love for her home and people. What greater act is possible by a
true lightwalker? I incidently intend to raise this point this point
among my comrades in the Voralian order, and look forward with great
enthusiasm to their response! Has the order been unconsciously emulating
the Goddess!
As for my other decision, I have indeed decided to enlist with...
Teleon.

Teleon hails from one of the oldest elven families to have taken
residence in Voralian city, his father being sent initially as the
ambassador from Darsylon to the city as the folk began the rebuilding.
In time, as his father tenure passed, he had come to love the city so
well, he moved his household, taking up permanent residence. Teleon
was born thus in Voralia, though he has spent time at Darsylon, as his
father sent him, for his earliest education, spending this time
with his uncle. Teleon returned to Voralia as an adolescent, and to
his fathers great pleasure, immediately enlisted as a squire in the
Voralian order.
Teleon is ultimately and above all else, naive. He understands there
is wickedness in the world, and that it must be opposed. He would
sacrfice anything to right a wrong, and fights with zeal to achieve that.
However, he does not understand wickedness, that is, while would oppose
for example an anti-paladin with all his strength, he would still
believe the person, is deep down capable of goodness, and only does
wicked things because of circumstance, or unfortunate life events. He
does not understand, that some people are basically bastards. He truly
believes that deep down, people are decent and caring, if just given
the chance. This does NOT mean, he won't rightly smack someone. People
need to be protected. Teleon is an idealist, he sees the light as a very
real shiny thing, a manifest reality, and to Teleon, it is very bright
and shiny indeed.
Teleon is in love with the Voralian order. He sees it through his rose
tainted eyes as the finest, most noble path a man can follow. He believes
passionately in the paladin's code, in chivalry and laying your cloak
in puddles for ladies to walk on. He is very very naive.
