Description

At the height of fourteen immense feet, this large being with blue skin is before you. A small stuble is visible on the broad face. A smile streches the cheeks while silver colored eyes peer from a massive head. The body is like the thickest of trees, veins bulging under enormous stress. The muscles themselves pulse, and coat the body from head to toe. Large hands hang at the sides, about seven feet off the ground. The torso is slightly covered in a variety of armor and weapons, as swords are drapped all over the body, on the back and belt at the waist. Further glancing shows a scar from the left eye down the cheek to the jagged chin. You also notice....

Role

Battleragers, Nexans and Outlanders, oh my!

Added Thu Aug 16 20:32:35 2007 at level 39:
As Thelnorn has grown in age, he has encountered many that walk different paths.
They hold their beliefs high and solidly have faith that they are
correct. Thelnorn views them as follows:

Battleragers, Haters of Magic: Misguided and entirely to beset on an ancient
grudge of enemies past. But they are honorable and dedicated, dying if
they must in order to accomplish their goals. Thelnorn admires
their courage and being some of Thera's best warriors, certainly admires
their combat prowess. While some are wicked, most can be trusted and often
mean no harm to the Light. Those that do will be dealt with.

Nexus, Seekers of Balance: Already there has been much conflict in the Fortress
of Light with these Seekers. Friend or foe, their allegiance is but on whim
of how they believe it sways. Or so that is how Thelnorn knows and sees
it. He has travelled with them and while gained friendships with some, knows
while they may mean well at times, they can mean wicked at other times.
They are to be respected, friendships maintained, but if they harm the
Light or those innocent, especially his kin, Thelnorn's blades will
not hesitate, for hesitating may not end well for the Light.

Outlanders: Much to be treated like the Battle. Some mean well and can be
good allies, yet there are wicked amongst them and those of gray heart
that often cannot be trusted. They have been at Thelnorn's side,
helping him and he will only find them later to be on Mount Kiadana, harming
those of his kin. Thelnorn must choose wisely his allies from them
but will not hesitate either if it must be done for the sake of his
people or the Light.

It is Thelnorn's duty that drives him, and continues to do so.

"I don't know if he'll make it."
"But we need him for the front lines! Without his strength this battle may be lost!"
"Don't you think I know that! Light help us. There is nothing we can do."
"What of his son? Perhaps he can-"
"No! He is too young, he doesn't know the sword well enough!"
"I would take his place!" Shouted Thelnorn, above the worried captains of the storm giant regime.
"Thank you for your wishes, but we cannot have you there instead of your father."
"That is for me to decide." The clouds screamed in anger. Thunder roared. Lightning struck all around them.
The heat from the mountain was nearly unbearable. The volcano a wicked place to these aqua dwelling friends.

It was here Thelnorn ThunderBlade would begin. He was of a humble beginning.
His family was a well known cornerstone of the community. His mother a bard, elven,
gorgeous and lovely. She was wise, and had the voice of a thousand angels. She had
fallen in love with Ghorgett, Thelnorn's father. Striking down the wicked years
ago, they had met, he but a battlemaster then, but on the field they had met.
Growing in love and finally ending in marriage, the elf and giant were wed,
and retired for some time to raise Thelnorn. Before his father left the army
he had been a general. Mount Kiadana has always been a place of conflict, even
in times of "peace". It was when the fire giants had slain three children that
got lost there, something had to be done. Grabbing their harp and swords, they
joined to help. But his father, charging forward had fallen into the trap of
those volcano dwelling beasts. Fighting his way back, he was mortally wounded
and thus, this is where our story picks back up....

The ThunderBlade.

Added Sun Aug 5 19:08:38 2007 at level 21:
The clouds were dark, almost black. They hovered above the mud slicked
walls of the volcano. Rocks tumbled down the sides from the forces of
the wind. Sweeping in like stinging bees, giants held up shield to stop
the tremendous rain. Disciplined but lost without their General, the army
was in slight formation, shields forward and large, for any incoming
charge. Sweat, blood, and water, all mixed on the blue skin. Most were fresh
and capable of movement. Thelnorn slowly made his way to the front. He said

"Get my father to the nearest priest. Mother, go with him, your voice
will heal him better than anything else we can do for him."
*A subtle nod is seen from the beautiful elf, and she dissappears quickly in pursuit
of her husband, being lead down the volcano side to safety*
"If they are this prepared, I fear we have no chance now. Let me try
but a gambit. I will challenge their commander."
"I admire the courage boy. But that is death, and the Light needs
you too much for that." "No, my choice Captain, and plan your retreat if you
will cower so. Your lives need not be lost here, friends."
*Thelnorn smiles, but his eyes are sad* Tears? Rain? Who knows.

"I, Thelnorn, young at body but capable enough at heart, challenge your commander!"
Dull drums echo out. Lightning strikes. The thunder roars. Then...
"Har har. Is clever ploy? Me would crush you head. Stupids blue man."
"Insults aside, do you accept?"
"Yuh, me will show yous." From under the volcano tip emerges a twelve foot
monstrosity. Covered in axes, blackened all over, firey red hair from the skull
the commander comes forth. Grinning to reveal black teeth, he cackles in unison
with another roar of thunder. "Yuh, here it come for you!!"

*CRASH* Lightning splits the sky as sword meets axe blade. *SMASH* Thelnorn
is slammed backward by the force the body. Raising his sword in an effort to
parry, his second sword shatters beneath the viscious power of the axe. *UNF*
Air escapes his lungs as he staggers back, slipping on mud, landing on his face.
Wiping his eyes quickly, he raises his last sword too late, blinded by mud.
The axe slashes deeply into his face, a spray of blood coats the axe and his opponent.
"Har har har, is too easy. Get up, me finish you. Eat you guts."
*Panting* Grabbing his sword, he covers the massive gash in his face. Standing proud
Thelnorn points his blade at his enemy. "You will not forget this." By the Gods
will or the luck of some unknown force, lightning splits the sky one more time. Striking
his only sword, the lightning rides along the metal. *sizzle!* Ejecting off
his sword point, the bolt penetrates the chest of the commander. His eyes
roll upward in a horrendous display. Their whites are replaced as blood sprays from
every orifice in a ghastly display. Axes clank into the ground, hitting rock, as
the body drops, smelling of burnt flesh. Awe sets in. Both armies are now
leaderless. Bleeding heavily, Thelnorn wanders off the mount to get aid.
His father would not make it through the week, dying of his injuries. Left
scarred for the experience, his face is never the same. But the legend of the
ThunderBlade, guided by the Light, courage in his heart, was born.
Healed, knowing his mother would keep the house warm for him, Thelnorn s

The Fortress of Light.

Added Thu Aug 9 14:41:15 2007 at level 30:
It has been some years since Thelnorn was given his chance by the Captain.
Not that many years mind you, as giants live for some time! But it has
occured to this giant that the Fortress is full of amazing people that he
would proudly call kin. As Thelnorn learns more of combat and continues
fighting the wicked, he has seen the unity that is the Maran and Acolyte
in action. To witness such is a moving sight, as he as seen those he loves
fall in the line of duty. Thelnorn himself learned a vital lesson the laws of
the Blood Tribunal and turned himself in for his warrant, out of respect and
the desire to have justice upon himself. The laws are to be respected so
that the innocent can live peacefully where they choose, while free. He need
not bring the War into the cities, only defend himself as he has done before.
Thelnorn is proud, and overjoyed to see his ThunderBlade name has reached the ears
of his enemies. May it, and the name of his Lady, Baerinika, strike fear into
those that will not seek redemption for their evil. The journey
has only begun....
