Description

Although a bit short at only five foot four, the leather-clad gentleman before you exudes an aura of absolute confidence. His well trimmed, sandy blond hair is in state of disarray and seems to constantly wave with the air around him. A faint olive-brown glow emerges from his eyes and gives the faint tan skin of his face a bronze look. He searches about with a seemingly piercing gaze as if he is on the prowl for something that even he is unsure of. Deftly garbed in lightweight leathers of tan and brown, he seems ready for any situation. The number of trinkets he has secured to his person which gives hint to how well-traveled he is. Maintaining a constant sly smirk, he staggers upon his way.

Role

The accident: A lock of blond and red hair.

Added Sat Jun 12 01:50:53 2004 at level 25:
Dysinthialyn was fanatical about horses and would hold an annual festival at
the Y bar H ranch that drew in many people from all around the world. On the
third festival that Thigodus attended Dysinthialyn decided to outdo all of
his previous gatherings. He hired folks to cook exotic foods, tell
enchanting stories, and even perform bewildering magic tricks. During the
introductions, Dysinthialyn and Asterina were carried into the arena where a
large crowd anxiously awaited by a horse drawn buggy. Unfortunately, the
horse pulling them was startled by a drunken magician who begun uttering
visual enchantments too soon. With a loud bang, two buggies collided and
Thigodus's parents were both killed on impact. His mother's sister gave him
a small lock of both of their hair to remember them by.

Outlandish stories: A stone unintelligibly inscribed with the word "liar."

Added Sat Jun 12 01:52:31 2004 at level 25:
After his parent's death no one knew what to do with the small boy, therefore
a town meeting was held to determine if Thigodus would suffer ill effects
from witnessing the tragedy. It was accurately determined that he would not
remember the event, so he was sent to live with his mother's sister, Frin, a
hermit with a love of cooking. Since Thigodus doesn't really remember his
biological mother, he considers Frin to be his mother and through spending
many years in the kitchen with her he developed his love of butchery. Due to
Frin's social withdrawal, Thigodus did not get to be very involved with those
around him during his youth. To make up for this lack of social interaction,
he would become engrossed in books and place himself in the fantasies that he
read about. Thigodus honestly believed (and still does) that these stories
were about him and his life. Years of this led to many people disliking
Thigodus for the "lies" that he told and by the time he reached school age,
it became quite the hindrance. One incident that sticks with Thigodus to
this day is the first time he was pelted with stones by neighborhood kids.
He still carries the first stone ever thrown at him to remind himself about
how bad it made him feel and to strive to never look down on anyone else for
being themselves. After several years of abuse from the public, Thigodus was
taken from Frin and put into an asylum by the town counsel.

Insane asylum: A smashed, dried pea.

Added Sat Jun 12 01:53:11 2004 at level 25:
Spending his adolescent years in an asylum had quite a strange effect on
Thigodus. During this time his mania developed fully and the manifestations
of this are still very apparent today. He made some very good friends at the
asylum and this is where he learned all of his social skills. Needless to
say his friends at the asylum didn't give him the soundest advice on
friendship. Sadly, all of the inmates, including Thigodus, at the asylum
became very malnourished from the lack of food they were given. On most
days, they were given pea soup and water. To this day, Thigodus still hates
peas.

The not so daring escape: A well-worn pair of wooden dentures.

Added Sat Jun 12 01:53:49 2004 at level 25:
After many of his friends had passed away due to malnourishment, Thigodus
simply had to leave the asylum. His lanky frame made for an easier than
normal escape. He took a pair of wooden dentures that a friend left him and
literally dug himself out of his cell in the middle of the night. As he
escaped into the night, it seemed as if his right leg naturally took to the
shadows as if pulled there by some unknown force. From then on he accepted
this gift and still uses it to conceal himself when he sees fit.

Introduction

Added Sat Jun 12 01:46:12 2004 at level 25:
A small journal, tucked gently into a satchel, contains Thigodus Yil-Hoaun's
strange life story. He manages to carry it with him everywhere he goes, but
is extremely careful to keep it well hidden beyond most people's sight. He
is equally as cautious to keep a few keepsakes securely pressed in between
the journal's pages. Divine scrutinizing reveals these few relics to be the
following:

A rotten horse tooth.
A lock of blond and red hair.
A stone unintelligibly inscribed with the word "liar."
A smashed, dried pea.
A well-worn pair of wooden dentures.

Further investigation would seem to give insight to the importance of these
artifacts.

Horse ranch: A rotten horse tooth.

Added Sat Jun 12 01:49:50 2004 at level 25:
Picture in your mind a tall and devastatingly handsome elven man and you
would still not even be close to understanding the pure beauty that is
Dysinthialyn Yil-Hoaun, Thigodus's father. He was prized worldwide for his
horsemanship and needless to say, well sought after by the ladies for his
looks and personality. Dysinthialyn inadequately tried to be a one-woman
man. Time and time again, he would try to convince himself that Asterina,
Thigodus's mother, was the only one for him and while it was true that he did
have a fetish for human women he was never faithful to not one of them.In
fact, unbeknownst to anyone in his family, he had a harem within the village
that was not far from the Y bar H ranch where Thigodus was born and grew up.
Thigodus does not remember his time at the ranch, but since he spent the
majority of his time as a young child with his mother, he acquired much of
her good nature. Unfortunately, through genetics he inherited many of his
father's more manic traits.

Asterina always told Thigodus that horse's teeth were good luck and even
though he doesn't quite know why, he still carries one with him to this day.
