Description

Like a mountain, this weird giant towering above you. Incredibly tall and massive, he is probably biggest giant you ever seen. But not this is strange in him, no. Without any doubt, he is a fire giant: same features as all other fire giants have, same proportions of the brutal face, same massive, broken many times, nose. But his skin - this is what looks shocking. His scaly, like of crocodile, milky-white skin that shines, like a well-polished blade. Red albino eyes with vertical pupils are staring at you intently, as looking deep within your very nature. Cold and unnatural wisdom swirls behind them, almost hypnotizing those who would dare to accept his glare. His mammoth body looks muscular and well-trained, many small scars covers it. Some of them probably not a result of accidents or trainings, but they looks like a mystical symbols of unkown meaning. Should you hear his voice, it would be low rumbling, typical for his race. Instead of the nails, his fingers got a massive, black claws. On his forehead you see a strange, perfectly-triangular scar.

Role

The Abomination

Added Sat Aug 28 08:33:52 2010 at level 3:
It happens once in a century, and it's always an Event on the mountain of Kiadana-Rah.
When he was born, female that was giving him life, died. Her death was painful, and her cries
were heard even at the lowest levels of mountain. Fiery salamanders that are living there, bothered
by the piercing sounds, angrily lashed at one another. Stone walls of the caves were melting under
blasts of their fiery tails when child was convulsing in arms of horrified midwife.

"Oyie! Taint! Oyie, a grief da moundan peeple!," She cried, holding newborn child, covered with blood.
He was crying wildly, and his mother was lying dead in the bloodstained bed.

"Oyie, Lord Rah! Summuan, call fer de Lord!" She shouted at the stunned helping girls. "Moove! Now!"
And they ran outside, spreading horrible rumor of the Sign of Prophecy.

She was standing there, shivering and shuddering, and her only companions were a corpse and a newborn
monster... or a Savior. She looked at him, and wiped blood from his skin - from his absolutely white
skin. His albino red eyes met her, pitch-black, and he silently peered into them. Peered into her
darkest corner of consciousness, watching all that she tried to forget: treason, alcohol addiction,
her love for elven males. Every her sin was brought from darkness, and she cried, wanted to kill the
child, but Lord Rah was already here, standing in the door. His look was heavy and filled with anxiety.

"Whad 're ye tryin t' do widh... id?" He questioned. "Do ye 'now probhethy?"
"Ya, m'lordh!" Answered the fire giant woman and knelt before him. Her arms were extended as she offered
child to the lord of the mountain.
"Me nuh touch... id," Said the lord, stepping one pace away from the white child, "Give em t' sham'n, em
'now whadda do!".
A moment later, shaman was summoned. Shivering and scowling, he accepted the albino boy and, without any word,
left into his chambers.

And at the morning, everyone of the village gathered near the crevice, filled with the boiling magma and
dancing firerats. Lord Rah nodded at Shaman that kept the boy, and Shaman began the Ritual.

The Crimson Ritual

Added Mon Aug 30 03:32:23 2010 at level 16:
Fire giants who have gathered for the ritual were waiting for it's
beginning. They were became silent,
Shaman held the boy in his arms. Now, he began to chant prayers to the
their Divine patron, their totem. Low voices of the fire giants joined
him and began to humble with him. Meanwhile, shaman was walking down the
massive stone stair toward the lava lake, still holding the child. Small
boy was quiet. His albino red eyes were looking around with curiosity,
but without fear. No single cry has left his mouth.

Chanting was becoming louder and louder with each step of the shaman.
When they had reached end of the rock and went on a small island,
surrounded by lava, chants turned into a powerful chorus. Shaman raised
children high, and chorus stopped suddenly.

"Drag'n Fada, heer 'dem call! Heer 'n com, Heer 'n com, yeh peepl' calln
yeh!" shouted shaman in direction of the dark tunnel across the magma
lake. In the next moment, something dark, something horrible moved there.
Cloud of dark smoke emerged from within. Black face of the shaman became
gray. He hurried to put child on the stone sacrificial pedestal and
retreated up, to safety.

With a powerful, deafening roar, giant head of the Great Crimson Dragon
protruded from the tunnel. Another roar - and it opened it's mouth and
breathed blistering cloud of fire, gas and smoke, aimed on the pedestal.
Seared and blinded, fire giants stepped few paces backward, kneeled all
at once and begun to chant new prayer - Prayer of Sacrifice.

Initiation

Added Wed Sep 1 07:55:36 2010 at level 20:
Child was lying on the Altar of Sacrifice and looking at the horrible
creature that was crawling out of the tunnel. His bright red eyes meet
eyes of the dragon... and he sat on the altar suddenly. Crimson dragon
tilted his massive head to the side, examining the boy and paying to
attention to other fire giants, who kept singing prayers to him. Usually
this ritual would be finished with a sacrifice toasted and eaten by the
dragon, but not this time.

Another powerful roar, and another annihilating breath of the dragon
crushed on the altar with the boy on it... and causing no harm. Boy were
sitting in the middle of the boiling fires, untouched by the blistering
flame. He was smiling, he was grinning and laughing, enjoying his
colorful surroundings. It was like eye of the storm, but different.

Was it intentional? Shaman asked himself, looking with disbelieve at the
abomination, who apparently was a Saviour. Or was it a coincidence?

Meanwhile, head of the dragon moved closer to the boy. It's giant eyes,
each of it twice larger than a whole boy itself, examined him carefully.
Massive, snake-like tongue darted from his mouth in the direction of the
boy and stroke its forehead, leaving a triangle-like wound. Buy hissed in
pain, but remained motionless.

"This mortal is mine", - Intoned the dark voice in heads of the giants.
"Embrace him as myself, as Avatar of me, and your mortal leader". Another
roar, another gas breath, and dragon disappeared in his lair, leaving a
cloud of dark smoke in the air - and white child on the altar.

Only a fifteen minutes later Shaman did dare to take the boy from the
altar. He has been brought to the shaman quarters, to grow up and become
an acolyte, a priest - and much more. He had to become Saviour of the
fire giant people, who will bring their people to glory and success, and
who finally will defeat their blue-skinned foes, assaulting the mountain
of Kiadana-Rah for centuries.

Sacred Roar

Added Thu Sep 2 04:15:16 2010 at level 20:
Years later, Thnoumundin finished his scholarship and left the Mountain,
to travel and see the world, to learn and to train. He felt a sacred
Power within him and he had to learn how to use it. This is how his hunt
began. Follower of One Law - brutal law of the fire giant society, he
respected strong enemies and despised weak ones. And yet he fought them
all, honing his combat abilities and perfecting prayers.

He was in the middle of the hunt when he heard a mighty draconian roar,
rolling in the night sky as a thunderclap. In this roar, he recognized
call of his God - Great Crimson Dragon, whom he threatened like a father.
He rushed to the mountain, to kneel before the great sacred being, and so
he did.

There, he has been blessed by another blistering breath, half killing
him, totally emptying him, leaving hollow - and after that, filling with
the new Power. Clean, untainted, burning like the primordial fire.

But yet, his patron wasn't satisfied and happy. Why does he have so
little followers that are praising him? Why those storm giants aren't
finally destroyed, what they are still doing here, on HIS mountain?!

And Thnoumundin, half blind, half deaf from the mighty roaring voice,
bleeding and on his kneels - shouted an oath. He sworn to gain strength
and to lead his people to glory. He sworn to build Empire in the name of
his God, and to bring his religion across Thera.

He sworn to make his patron a true God - because those Gods are most
powerful, who have many followers, and those are dead, who have none.
Everyone in his Empire will bow to the Great Crimson Dragon, will chant
payers and perform sacrifices. His patron will become a true God, and
Thnoumundin will be his fire on the lands, and his son on heavens,
forever, after his death.

Thnoumindin left the mountain, filled with the new inspiration. He knew
one empire - weak, disorganized now, lacking Emperor. It will be the
foundation of his reign, and beginning of the Crimson Age.

Dull Morning

Added Fri Sep 3 03:39:39 2010 at level 28:
Thnoumundin had a bad mood. He was sitting in a large hall of the house
that he rented for a week. Before him, on the table, an elf, cursed,
poisoned and plagued, weakened and tormented, was dying a horrible death.
It was Tir-Talath city, and he just wanted to look around and find people
of the Empire, to hear more about their society and learn, how to join
them. But so far, he met no one of them.

But not only that was the reason of his bad mood, no. It was strong
headache, result of the meeting with an elven paladin, who called wrath
of his patron on him. Nobody died, paladin fled, leaving Thnoumindin
suffering from after effects of the holy power. Thnoumindin had to gain
more power, if he wished to gain favor of his patron. He had no other
choice.

He turned to the elf and drained last drops of energy that he had in his
frail body. With a silent moan, elf died, and his corpse quickly begun to
rot. Thnoumundin threw some silver coins on the floor and left the
building.

Annoying delay

Added Sun Sep 5 06:30:12 2010 at level 40:
After becoming somewhat powerful, Thnoumundin found himself in the middle
of a intensive war. Nearly everyone were foes to him. But not this
angered Thnoumundin, no - he appreciated enemies and their corpses. His
own limits, limits of his slow mind were the main problem. He had learned
many prayers to his great deity, but all of them were so far from
perfection!

And Thnoumundin decided to stop his progress for a while and concentrate
on scholarship. Because only with knowledge comes true power, he
perfectly knew that. Inspired by sensible presence of his God, of his
Dragon behind his back, he begun learning his prayers with a fanaticism
of the true zealot.

He crawled to the darkest corner of the world, and gave a vow not to
leave that dark and depressive place unitl he is ready to fight legions,
standing against his Empire.

Limbo

Added Fri Sep 17 09:34:54 2010 at level 51:
'
Thnoumundin was walking within the gray, endless mist. He did not
remember how did he get there, nor what he was doing there. Actually, he
barely remembered his own name. He was just walking, watching for weird
shapes, appearing in the mist.

Sword, then a knight. Mist swirls, and now he saw relief of the giant
mountain. Another swirl - and a giant face stared down at him. Tree,
without leaves, and a dead man, hung on the branch. More vortex, and more
colorless pictures appeared. Giant people, carrying something down to the
lake, with pedestal in the center... Horned minotaur, eyes filled with
madness, massive club rose in his hand - suddenly, name 'Ohbebh' rung in
his mind. Now there was wizardress, with a fierce devil bound, and
terrible elemental - running towards Ohbehb. Gray flash, when they did
meet - more pictures. Faces, events, cities - a weird mosaic, but
Thnoumundin felt like every picture had a meaning for him. Puzzle, that
he must solve.

- That is right, - suddenly, voice appeared in his mind, and he realized
that he was walking in absolute quietness before. - That is your life.

- Ugh! Meh laife? Whur meh be?! - replied Thnoumundin, stopping. At that
moment, giant winged figure, made of the same mist, appeared before him.

- You want to know, where are you now? Well... currently, you are lying
dead before the Fortress of Light, and paladins are pillaging your dead
body.

Figure snickered - but it was a sad snicker.

- Ugh! - Said Thnoumunding again. - Why dat shite happuns?! 'N who dem
hells yeh be?!

- You forgot... Of course you did. You gave up. You wanted to die... and
you did not resist. You wanted to show Gods that they are wrong, did not
you?

- Hmmm... yeh. Dats me wanted t' do. Meh lone did shake dem whole
fortruss, 'n whut fors?! WHUD FORS?! Whuts me earneds? Nudhin!

- And you are wrong. Look, how long are you here, how do you think? -
Figure spreads it's wings, looking angry.

- Bouts week, mebbeh two, yeh? - Thnoumundin looked confused. - And whur
heres, yeh tells? Who yeh be?!

- So many questions... so impatient! - Figure growled, then continued. -
You are here less than three heartbeats. This place.. is place of the
last chance. Here, you can reconsider your previous life, and find
answers on your questions. Here, you can decide, if you are strong enough
to return, or if you are weak enough to let them win.

- MEH STRUNG! MEH STRUNG! Dem unfair! Dems, dems givin dems shite ta deal
widh meh, t' kill meh, t' leave me no chance!

- Thats be the challenge. Accept it, or don't. What will you chose?

- MEH ACCEPT, YEH FARGIN...

Mists swirls once again. Surrounded with the infernal laughter, he fallen
down... down... down... and found himself in the temple of Hamsah Mu'tazz
city. Thnoumunding shakes his head, confused. How much time did he spent there?

Evolution

Added Tue Sep 21 04:56:59 2010 at level 51:
Time was passing. Thnoumundin had his falls and his rises, but mostly
rises. Despite the fierce of his Dragon God, and it's obvious desire to
eat him, he still was alive. He suffered a harsh punishment, and his very
soul was emptied, burned by the flame - to be refilled again, with even
more power and anger. He was alive, though after experiencing those
divine events, he began to transforming. Not only spiritually, but also
physically.

It was an evolutionary mutation. His white skin became tough,
crocodile-like scaly and glinting. His eyes, red before, remained red but
now they were enlarged and with vertical pupils. Nails on his fingers
turned into a massive, black claws. But the most dramatical change was
his voice. Now, it became low roaring, and streams of pale smoke was
erupting from his mouth with every word. His mood and character were
slowly changing to dominant and confident.

Now, he was looking for the leadership. First, he will begin with the
Divine Sect. Later, he will take Throne, and every mortal will bow to
him... or will be burned by the Holy Flame!

Progress of Life

Added Sun Oct 3 15:56:09 2010 at level 51:
Since last everns a quite much time has passed. Thnoumundin was occupied
with a lot of things, most important of which were two: developing shrine
for his Dragon God and building Empire from within.

First task was a great challenge and required a lot of time and effort.
He meditated for almost a year and finally imagined a marvelous place
that he would build for his God. He prayed to him, met him and drawn his
vision on the stone floor of the cave. He saw flame of burning greed and
ancitipation in his eyes, and felt new power, burning in his veins. He
became true priest of his Dragon God, and his vision was accepted. He was
getting ready to gather materials and build the shrine.

Second task was easier, but also required a lot of effort. He had to show
others strength of his spirit, his dedication and devotion - especially
after his shameful failure in past. Like mad, like untamed fire, he was
roaming on Thera, slaughtering enemies of Empire, bringing new oaths and
spreading word of Imperial Law. Like gardener, he was watching every
citizen and he was guiding them all. Soon, his sect - Divine Sect -
became most powerful within Empire. His priests, his acolytes, was
growing stronger with every day, and more and more new young monks were
taking Blood Oath. It was time of his glory, but he strived for more: to
truly lead his sect and empire that he did build.

His future was unknown to him, but now, after those cataclysms in his
life, his spirit became unbreakable. He did regret nothing, and lived as
he sohuld, without any expectations - but doing all and everything
possible to climb higher than now. Perfection was his unreachable goal
and, realising that, he was impeccable.
