Description
A towering imposing figure stands before you. Piercing green eyes are fixed
evenly on the hulking skull. Bushy pepper colored eyebrows contrast sharply
with his mottled gray skin. Rough stubble wraps around his chin, punctuated
by a thin beard around his lips. Three claw like scars stretch from the side
of his left eye to the front of neck, stopping right before the jugular.
Wisps of dark hair are matted to his neck and give way to powerful sloping
shoulders. An elongated torso sits squarely upon two tree-trunk like legs.
Through various cracks in the armor you see his pale skin emerge, with tufts
of fur like hair peaking through.
You notice his armors are an exotic mixture of furs and plates from creatures
across Thera.
Role
The long cold.

The month of long shadows had crawled on. The sun remained hidden on the
other side of Thera. The tribe grew restless, their foodstores were low, and
the snows had built. Even the heartiest giant languished in the dark. Their
sight was poor and their bellies grew slim. The elders convened in the
tribal hut.
"If the darkness continues we will die" exclaimed one.
"Hunger ravages the young!" proclaimed another.
As arguing echoed off the timber walls, one giant, taller than the rest
stepped forward.
"We must prepare the young for the deep cold" as he nodded at each.
"But they wont survive!"
"How many perished the last time?"
The elder silenced them with a massive hand. "We must, it is the only way,
remember our ancestors have done so for generations. Some will die, but our
tribe will survive".
With their gazes downcast, the giants understood, and shuffled silently out
of the hut and towards the mountain. The distant sound of chanting could be
heard through the snow drifts as young cloud giants slept, unaware in their
huts.

Throthgor was awakened suddenly by the weeping of his mother. As his eyes
adjusted to the dark he could see her huddled in the corner, the tears
creating a puddle on the floor.He rose and placed a hand on her shoulder,
the weeping only increased. She stared at him through sullen eyes. She
stood up, towering over him and grabbed his arm and led him into the night.
They stumbled, for what seemed like hours, through blinding darkness. The
darkness and silence was occasionally punctured by other mothers, emerging
from the shadows, their eyes strewn with tears.Throthgor gripped his
mothers tunic tighter, trying to bury his face in the fur.
In the distant he could hear chanting, and the sound of shovels hitting the
hard earth. Drawing his gaze from the ground Throthgor looked towards the
approaching torches, the cold began to creep into his bones. Frosty plumes
emerged from his breath. His mothers sobbing grew louder.
Faces emerged from the darkness, it was the elders. They grabbed Throthgor
from his mother and threw him into a chasm filled with ice.
"You will be free from hunger here, be strong, keep us in your thoughts" A
voice in the darkness mumbled.
The chanting grew louder. Echoing off the ice cavern and reverberating in
his ears. The cold began to make his breathing labored. A loud groaning
could be heard as a giant labored to fill the cavity with snow, then a huge
crack as a boulder fell in front of the hole. Through a small gap a beam of
light from a torch shined on the wall. Chiseled writing could be seen:
"Here lies Throthgor Ratga, child of the Irowotuk tribe, last northern
frontier. Buried, but not forgotten"
The torch light began to fade and Throthgor wept, the cold numbed his body
and he slipped into darkness.
A sweeper.

The sound of dripping water could be heard, startling Throthgor awake. At
first his body could not move, his eyes fluttered open but his limbs would
not respond. The air grow hot, feverish. A sharp voice cut across the
silence.
"Open the cave you mongrels!" "The treasure is within!" barked a shrill
cry.
The boulder slid to the side and rough hands grabbed Throthgor, they shoved
him to the ground and dragged him into the light. He shut his eyes as the
light poured around him. He felt the sting of a whip upon his back, cutting
his flesh.
"He will make a fine worker, shackle him and put him with the others"
Strong hands lifted him and threw him into a waiting cart, his legs and arms
were shackled together, as his eyes began to adjust he thought he saw another
of his tribe being dug out of the melting snow as flames emerged from a
creature hands.
"There is no escape, there is only servitude, learn this lesson well young
one"
The wagon lurched forward and winded its way from the mountain.The smell of
flowers and the song of birds hung in the air. For days they traveled,
subsisting on maggot filled bread and filthy water. Finally the wagon
stopped and they were dragged out one by one to a dark city.
"Kill the paladin scum on sight!" a voice boomed overhead as he was led into
the square.
He glanced about nervously, the streets were empty except for a lone figure
sweeping the streets.
Ghosts visit Throthgor

The water dripped from the roof of the hut. Causing the flames of the fire
to sputter. In the darkness a hulking forms sits in the shadows, holding a
massive halberd in one hand, and a sharp rock in the other. A loud *CLANG*
is accompanied by sparks cascading across the hut. As the giant brings the
tip of the halberd closer to the fire his scars become visible as the light
dances across his face.Years of warfare have taken a grim toll on his
flesh, nicks, cuts and burns seem to disguise his true face.
Suddenly his face becomes awash with terrible fright, his eyes widen and he
drops the halberd. Shuffling back from the fire he tries to cower in the
corner, as the panic takes hold.
"Goooooes Away.Throth gonna crush demons. Moooooore time!" he bellows in a
panicked fit.
Beads of sweat ooze out of every pore causing him to shake violently. His
hands cover his head as he begins to rock back and forth.
"Ghosts touch soul, ghost touch soul ghost touch soul..gho...." sputtering
those final words he collapses into a heavy sleep, snores drifting outward
from the now incapacitated giant.
Nanstrick Part 1

The air grew thick from the storm. Flashes of lightning arced across
the sky, causing the hair on Throthgor's arms to rise. Rain battered his
hulking form, the droplets cascading down his scarred body. Before him stood
the massive gates of Udgaard, the corpse of a holy warrior dangled from the
battlements, occasionally making a loud thudding noise as the winds picked it
up and slammed it against the dark stone.
The rain soon turned to hail and Throthgor pressed on. He lowered his gaze
as he walked past the guards, hoping they would notice him so he could
end their wretched lives. He passed by without incidence and lumbered up
Marble Road. His armors began to grow light has his heart began to thump
loudly in his chest. Gripping his lance he ducked into a guild. There he
felt the familiar stench of animals. A dark-elf lifted his gaze and began to
rise from the bench. Before he could stand fully erected he felt the tip of
a lance plunge into his stomach, and push through out his back.Eyes
widening in terror he felt the lance tear upwards pushing aside his innards.
He collapsed, motes of mana barely swirling about his finger tips.
Throthgor moved quickly into the guild, an older figure stood in the corner.
"They said you would come, though you are hardly as impressive as they
whispered in this hall" Nanstrick murmured, a smirk washing over his face.
"You may have killed one of my pathetic replacements with some luck, but I am
not as foolish as they are. What have you come here for anyway? Death?"
"Yous know why 'ere. Throth seek freedom, from yous, from ghosts" Throthgor
cracked, his voice almost meek.
"Oh, well in that case, I shall bring you peace" As Nanstrick finished his
sentence he transformed into a powerful lion, launching himself at Throthgor.
Throthgor thrusted his lance out wildly causing Nanstrick to dodge to the
side, they locked in close combat, Throthgor stabbing violently with his
lance and Nanstrick using his claws and teeth to cut through the armors of
the giant.
They circled each other, each wary of the next move, the lion was much too
fast to rush, and Throthgor too strong to be held down by its powerful paws.
stepped back, then lunged forward with the fury of his ancestors,
the lance dug deeply into the shoulder of the lion. Bellowing with rage,
Nanstrick raked his claws against Throthgor's torso causing streams of blood
and flesh to stick to his paws.They both recoiled in pain.
Nanstrick Part 2

A wild look flashed in the eyes of Throthgor, rage overcoming his face.
Throthgor raised his lance, and charged his scream echoing off the halls and
spilling into the street. "Ground quake! Blood Boil! Death Wake!" the
forms clashed, blood spattered against the walls.
Outside a crowd of street sweepers gathered, wide-eyed, they peeked their
heads in. The scent of death permeated the guild. A figured emerged covered
in blood, holding the hide of a lion. The giant walked toward the gate,
blood dripping from his wounds.
The street sweepers quickly followed suit, pushing the blood into the
gutters.
