Description
A sleek black feline prowls on silent, padded feet, arching or curling her
torso in a flexible stretch occasionally. She sniffs at the air around you
suspiciously, reading your scent like a book. Her sly green eyes are
especially haunting in the dark, and constantly trail your movements with
mild amusement. Her fur is well groomed and glossy with good health. She
lashes her long tail idly with a slight smirk upon her lips, the only
indication of contemplation within her animal mind.
Role
The Scent Trigger
Added Fri Aug 10 08:39:42 2012 at level 2:
Her keen sense of smell picked up a distant scent, driving her into a frenzy
with the stench. All logical thought and acceptable social behaviour slowly
melts away from her animal form, puddling at the foot of her paws as her
claws dig deep into the earth. Her fur bristles with animosity, and her
claws and fangs are bared, craving for flesh to bury themselves into.
She accepts the invitation of the appalling trail that is invisible to the
plain eye, but exploding with so much more detail upon her sensitive nostrils.
As she is guided nearer to the source, her base animal mind takes overly
completely.
A sleek black comet streaks powerfully across the land, an arrow drawn by
instinct to its target as she sinks her fangs hard into the neck of a human
mage, his last incantation crumbling into nothingness upon his lips. Blood
bursts upon her face, and the fela rips wildly at the torso, ensuring an
instant death. She drops to the ground lightly on padded paws, after she
frees all the wrath pent up within her, letting out an animal sound before
slipping back into the cover of night. She crouches unseen, ridding the
disgusting odor off her fur, before curling up to take a light nap. Her
sharp ears gently lift to take watch, seeing more than her eyes ever could.
The Fragrance of Gods Corrupted in the Veins of Magi
Added Fri Aug 10 08:40:52 2012 at level 2:
It might be difficult for the average mortal to pick up scents with his or
her dull nose, but for felar who have retained their base instincts, smells
are more descriptive than vision ever could be.
What one eats and drinks, how much time is spent in certain places or with
certain people, the fragrances applied to the hair and skin - all play a role
in defining a person, and speaks much of habits, preferences and character.
It is a highly descriptive portrait of a person, unspoken yet vivid even
from afar.
The practice or embodiment of magic is the single most defining scent in
all the world. The blood of the gods smell of paradise - intoxicating,
rich and wonderful. The little fela knows, for she has defiantly crept on
silent paws a short distance away from the gates of Asgaard, drinking the
celestial mixture of fragrances in like fine wine with her sensitive nose.
Magic flowing through the blood of mortals however, strangely invokes the
opposite effect. It becomes an overpowering stench, pervading her senses
unkindly, the polluting fumes driving her wild. It smells of paradise
corrupted, of purity defiled, of natural essences twisted and ravaged.
The urge to destroy something so vile is not one that really needs
to be taught or reasoned with someone so in touch with her instincts, for
instincts are gifted by the gods for the purpose of survival.
The Undying Flame of Instinct, Seeker of the Warrior-Goddess
Added Fri Aug 10 08:43:43 2012 at level 2:
Instinct is the fire that burns deep within every living soul, an undying
flame which guides one towards survival and realization. To ignore it is to
deny one's self from truth, and stifle the root of greatness waiting to
blossom within.
While this little fela may appear cruel and callous towards magi, likes
spitting sharp words, and spills blood without mercy, deep inside she can be
a somewhat generous individual, especially towards those who also hunt down
and destroy the defilers. She feels some affinity towards them, and her
animalistic sense tells her to look out for one of her pack, and to inspire
them to constantly be the ones bringing the war to the enemies' turf.
Curious as any feline can be, she is often on the prowl, gathering
information from various corners to help concoct an escape Plan B for each
of her grand endeavours. She is easily bored and not easily amused, and
often has cravings that have to be satisfied immediately, or she might take
her frutration out on an innocent bystander.
An Overcome Obstacle and New Lessons to Learn
Added Tue Sep 11 23:41:07 2012 at level 40:
After spending many frustrating years waiting for mages to wake so she can
add them to her skull pile, Tiarhelle finally gained Commander Salyeris's
permission to progress beyond her 30th title. The huge amount of time
spent waiting was well spent on hardening her paws and honing her reflexes,
which made learning a breeze subsequently.
With the overcoming of her first obstacle in life, Tiarhelle finally felt
worthy enough to approach the Lady Iunna again. She sought the great feline
out for further combative lessons, eager to become the greatest warrior in
the lands. Surprisingly, the Lady asked Tiarhelle to teach her a lesson
about the flames instead. Tasked with discovering the differences in views
from Lord Thror's, with regards to FIRE, Tiarhelle intends to kidnap a Thror
dwarf or two to interrogate.
She intends on leading the Village someday in one way or another, and has
spent some time studying the habits of the other Villagers, and also making
a few 'friends', which she threatens and tries to make use of more often
than not.
On Earning Command of the Village
Added Mon Sep 24 01:12:40 2012 at level 51:
The drums of war reverberated in the air, while the skies blazed with the
brilliant constellations of the Battle gods. The forbidding crimson gates in
the Village creaked open and combatants streamed in, eager to prove their
would be chosen to lead.
Night gave way to day and repeated itself while the Villagers fought on,
their skin glistening with sweat and effort, each valiant and determined.
In the end, four were chosen to remain for the round of Wits - Slosyk, Varks,
Kontoln and Tiarhelle.
Tia has spent much time thinking about the Village, and what she would do to
take it to even greater heights. She shared these with the Battle immortals:
- She would take the Village back to war with the Empire should they not
dethrone the anti-paladin Emperor
- She wanted to advertise for a new skjald
- She wanted to replace the current Drillmistress with Varks, for he was
more efficient in group combat as oppossed to Tia's solo abilities, and had
the same way of thinking and working
- She wanted to further prod each path to doing more path-related duties,
such as for Scouts to keep the Village updated of enemy tricks and locations
In the end, Tia was selected to lead the Village, much to her surprise for
she knew up until then, she was more like a mouthy little gangster fela in
a pack. Now that she actually has real responsibility on her paws, she
knows it is time for her to become more of the leader of the pack, one who is
more ferocious and disciplined. Some things will never change however, and
she will still retain her blade of a sharp tongue.
Thoughts on FIRE: Iunna's vs Thror's
Added Mon Sep 24 01:15:43 2012 at level 51:
Tia has spent some time musing about the differences in regards to the sphere
of Fire between Iunna's and Thror's religions, as tasked upon her.
The similarities that she has found being:
1. Both are metaphorical representations of Life.
2. Both seek to take themselves and others, and push them towards greatness.
The differences that she has found, in correspondence to the similarities
listed above:
1. Thror's view of Fire is seen as trials in Life, and that which shapes or
breaks a man. Whereas Iunna's view of Fire is seen as the embracing of the
warmth of life (in death, one is cold forever) in its many forms - combat,
conversation, friendships, etc.
2. Thror's method of utilizing Fire is to put men into the heat, and from
there mold them into perfection. Whereas Iunna's method of utilizing Fire is
to keep it burning fiercely within oneself, and through that spread the
warmth of inspiration to those around her, banishing all fear and self doubt.
3. Thror's source of Fire seems to be more dependant on environmental factors,
whereas Iunna's focuses on the heart within.
With these thoughts in mind, Tia will approach her Lady soon to discuss on
this lesson, and either expand upon it, or progress to a new chapter.
Days of Commandership, Studies on War and Seeking Iunna
Added Tue Nov 6 02:26:38 2012 at level 51:
Tiarhelle has been working as the Commander of Battle for a number of years
now and has grown a little more subdued, unlike the wild frenzy of her youth.
Yet with the necessity of such self-control, the silent raging of the
firestorm within her heart actually burns more everlastingly. Focusing her
eyes upon her tasks, she knows nothing will ever break her anymore, until
death comes to claim her.
She tries her best to discipline her men and to maintain a Village with
pride and courage for cornerstones. With old Kontoln for a wise advisor,
she hopes to restore the Village to days of grand glory and infamy.
She has also spent much time in the War Room and has taken the words on the
plaque in regards to 'courage, pride, intelligence and wisdom' to heart.
As such she has been running weekly studies on subjects of warfare, the first
two topics scouring home and enemy terrains. Subsequent discussions will
examine all the mage types, cabal powers, non magi allies of foes, and more
on various terrain.
She hopes that the Village will take such precious knowledge to heart, and
utilize it in battle to obliterate their foes completely. She has delegated
the task of compiling the flow of information to Jutley, a bard applicant,
in hopes to get him more involved in the affairs of the Village.
She has also been feeling a little guilty for not paying as many visits to
the Great War Feline's shrine as she used to, for she has been fully
immersed in the war at hand. She has however, been living her faith through
her claws and actions, and hopes that her Lady agrees with the work she has
been doing. She will continue to seek the great feline's teachings, and
hopes to see her again someday soon for continuation in lessons.
Expansion of War To Greater Magi
Added Tue Nov 6 02:30:10 2012 at level 51:
The Veil shifts favorably with every slaying of a reknown mage, probably
more so if he or she is a leader of a cabal.
Tiarhelle has been meaning to return the Village to war with the Empire once
she has rebuilt it to a sufficient level of strength, which she believes is
now. Fortunately or unfortunately, the fairly new Dread Lord has died.
While her keen eyes are still on the Empire as long as they dedicate a
Council seat to the Black Sect, she has decided to turn her attention upon
other cabals with mages in leadership positions first.
She doesn't want to deplete all her resources or tire her men battling on too
many fronts, so while many cabals have magi for leaders, she will begin by
focussing on those who possess enhanced magics even their guildmasters are
ignorant to - the most blasphemous of the crop.
She will end the war only on condition that they give up the additional magics
they strain to draw from the Veil, or if they give up their powerful position
of leadership.
While some of the insights to these magics may have been granted by the gods,
she knows that all mortals are pawns on a sadistic immortal chessboard at
the end of the day, and that her duties still had to be done.
In the meantime, she will continue to strengthen the Village and when the
time is right, expand the war on additional fronts where and when necessary.
