Description
Before you is the form of a human approximately five feet ten inches in
height. He is clad in polished metals and white fabrics. His eyes are a deep
forest green while his hair is of the blackest black that falls to just the
tip of his shoulders. This human's facial features are strong and firm
looking, as if chiseled from stone. Tirrael carries himself in a strict
soldier-like manner. Painted on the chest piece that covers his torso is the
symbol of the Voralian Paladin Order. The shield that he carries also
displays an illustration. The image shows three sets of angel wings closing
to protect a city. In addition, hanging about his neck is a crystal of the
purest white. While his armor is well maintained his weapons are also in the
same pristine condition. Secured in small vials on his belt are various
liquids. Upon further inspection one would know them to be the oils he uses
to anoint his weapon. Lastly, you see that...

A Day of Honor

Having achieved his 20th rank in the Voralian Templar Order, Tirrael
submitted his request of application to the Blood Tribunal. It didn't take
long for the Tribunal to respond in the form of a Provincial Magistrate by
the name of Siloreelo. The female gnome summoned Tirrael to the Adjunct
Office of the Blood Tribunal. When he arrived the interview begin
immediately. He was first called on to answer for the reason he wanted to be
a Tribunal. Here Tirrael spoke of Protection, Order, and Stability that the
Tribunal promoted within the cities and how that was his goal as well.
Siloreelo then cleverly asked, "Couldn't you have chosen the path of an
Acolyte to spread protection and be a beacon of Thera?" Tirrael replied
swiftly, "If the Tribunal did not do its part to provide a safe haven for
citizens, there would be no stability and chaos would overtake the Fortress
in time." Having found Tirrael's answer satisfactory Siloreelo moved on
to questions that tested Tirrael's knowledge of the Laws. Each scenario was
as complex as the next but Tirrael proved capable in understanding and
applying judgment. When the interview came to an end, Siloreelo saw fit to
bestow the highest honor and induct Tirrael. He is now one of the elite city
guards, a member of the Blood Tribunal. With his goal attained Tirrael knew
the bar was set higher. He knew that achieving his goal would not be as
difficult as maintaining his position of authority with honor and integrity.
Thus is the toil of the Tribunal Shield Priest. After a few days of
meditation Tirrael's next step was made clear to him. He would pilgrimage
to the shrine of the Lord of the Archons and seek further guidance and more
importantly approval that his actions thus far are just and worthy.
Second Blessing

A marvelous day indeed! Tirrael met face to face with his Patron-God. His
heart was overjoyed. The many days he waited in patience was answered. In the
very heart of Corrlaans shire they spoke. Tirrael kneeled before his Lord,
and recalled the event of his First Blessing and the decisions he made
leading up to the very moment. Corrlaans eyes watched Tirrael, piercing
his soul and weighing his words. Pleased with the progress that his humble
Paladin has made, Corrlaan in his infinite wisdom bestowed words of guidance,
"You must focus your thoughts on your purpose, the Code, your goals. Be an
example to others, for this is how one follows the Archons." It was then
that Holy quintessence filled Tirraels being. "You will find yourself
with my Final Blessing," spoke Corrlaan as he gazed at his follower. When
all fell silent, Corrlaan departed to the Havens. Instantly, Tirrael picked
himself up and left for Voralian, intent on meditating upon his Lords
words, to plan out his future and ascertain his goals. As a week passed
Tirrael inherited much wisdom. To stand watch over one city is to Protect,
but to press ones self to the fullest, and become a guardian for all four
cities, that would be the truest sense of self-sacrifice. He would not rest
until the four cities were under the Banner of Protection that His Lord and
he offered. Tirrael knew from that moment forward that to be a Shield Priest
is one thing, but it paled in comparison to how he should be, Tirrael, Shield
of the Four Cities. Through his dedication to peace and safety he looks
forward to inspire Hope for all the citizens of Thera, Hope for a better,
safer tomorrow. The time comes now, where he seeks to advance to Provincial
Magistrate. Before he can do this, he must gain in title within his guild.
Hope and Leadership

Much time has passed and with that new strengths have been gained. Tirrael
has risen high within his guild. His constant vigilance as a Tribunal has
Tempered his mind, showing him new ways to combat criminals. After seeing
many Tribunals depart Tirrael spoke to the Provost Siloreelo, assuring his
leader he would stand strong to face the challenges present and those yet to
come. Inspired by his heart felt words, Siloreelo promoted Tirrael to Galadon
Magistrate. Further, the Tribunal Provost allowed Tirrael to begin conducting
interviews with prospective applicants. He is now a few more steps closer to
shaping the Tribunal to reflect more so the ideals of his Lord, Corrlaan. His
eyes still are set upon becoming a Provincial Magistrate, and most
importantly, an example for others to follow in his footsteps. Only effort
and a clear focus will prevail in the end.
Lantern in the Night

Tirrael was born to a noble family living in Voralian. As a show of good will
to the city and the people Tirrael's family members would always send their
eldest sons to the Voralian Paladin Order to train in hopes of becoming a
beloved protector. It was there that Tirrael has spent nearly his whole life
in service to the greater good. He has come to appreciate the choice his
family made when they inducted him into the Order and has sworn to uphold the
practice. Tirrael was always praised for his calm and near impassive attitude
and ability to keep his emotions in check. However, being mortal, he has a
flaw, and that is standing idle while someone needs his help. The Paladin
Order in Voralian has always encouraged students to meditate deeply on the
pantheon they wish to dedicate themselves to. It took many weeks but finally
he found the texts of Corrlaan to be the best suited. Corrlaan was a
protector, a shield to those who needed him. Tirrael knew at that moment that
he would follow Corrlaan. This choice is reflected in his desire to follow
the path of the Shield Priest. With his decision made, Tirrael sets out to
find his patron God.
The Path Before Him
Added Mon Jul 23 23:09:19 2007 at level 10:
After enduring many days of prayer to the Lord of Archons, Corrlaan, Tirrael
was granted an audience by a Shimmering Archon. The conversation that was
held was brief but straight to the point. Tirrael explained that life and
death rested on Corrlaan's decision of blessing and how it meant everything
to him. The Archon saw Tirrael's words to be true and imparted its profound
wisdom to keep his "thoughts and efforts clear". Tirrael upon hearing
these words he knew that meditation would be required. At the end of the
conversation the Divine Essense of Corrlaan flowed into Tirrael's being.
The next few days were spent in contemplation. It was here that Tirrael
outlined his next goal for the future. A warrior's shield doesn't cover
his whole body, only a focused area, for anything too large would be unusable
in combat. Thus, Tirrael decided the Blood Tribunal would be a perfect fit.
However, before he could be considered for the Tribunal's ranks, he would
need to reach the twentieth title. So continues the story...
