Description

The shadows seem to shift and a glint of metal can be seen within them. Abruptly a man is seen from the shadows with blackjack in hand and a smile upon his face. He seems to be whistling a tune, but not very loudly. He stands about six foot two inches tall with brown hair and brownish-green eyes. His face is a mask of calm, but his eyes give away his true feelings. Anger is all that can be said about the dark gleam in his eyes. A stalking cat on verge of attack. His arms are finely contoured as if he takes good care of his body, but doesn't go out of his way to work on them constantly. His hands however move with a very fluid grace. As he flourishes his hands daggers appear in them, and then quickly disappear within his cloak A dangerous man, familiar with the weapons about his person

Tonri's Memoirs

Added Tue Sep 7 19:27:41 2004 at level 50:
I guess some would want to know what made me choose the path I know run. Some
would shake their heads in frustration at the path I chose, and still others
would point to society and say "It's your fault, he's a product of the system."
I don't think much blame can be placed on anyone aside from my parents, but that
is just cliche, especially in the opinion of some for those of the Village.
Most think all villagers parents were killed by magi, and so they see revenge
through the destruction of other magi. This isn't me at all, my story doesn't even
really involve my parents, though they played a major role in the formation of it.
To say they had a part should only give them credit for birth, and my first
years of walking around on the ground. Truly, I must have been a handful looking back.
Why else would parents leave their child on the streets of a major city? We happened
to be near a dark alley at the time, perhaps they were abducted by mercenaries there?
Perhaps they left me in the care of a friend for a moment and took a stroll out in the wilds.
Perhaps the gods allowed them to by mauled by a bear, or eaten by some dragon. I
often wish it were so, that maybe one day I'd know for sure. However, I've seen no answers
and Glinar hasn't told me much, so I guess I'll just start where I met him.

You could say Glinar truly played a larger role in my development as a youth. He
was the one who found me stealing apples from the fruit seller and took me under his wing.
He saw the find hand I showed at pickin pockets and set me down that path immediately.
I had real promise, and a real desire for thievery. For my first few years in the guild
that was all I truly cared about. I wanted to make money and see the world I guess.
I don't know, the thought of coin in my pocket and aiding the guild were foremost.
Then I came of the age where you have to pay to be in the guild. It was then
I met Hipsin, that wiry gnome Kingpin of Galadon. He lent me the money on interest
to join his guild. So I took it, and to my credit, paid him back the next day.
It was that day, however, that changed the course of my life forever.

I walked into the guild, just one title past joining it and I found an interesting sight.
There was a smelly cloud hanging in the air, and I wasn't sure what it was. I figured
perhaps the stew Wyledar had made was a bit rough or something. It seemed hot though
but I didn't think much of it, seeing as it is typically warm in that room.
However, not moments later the cloud ignited and burned my body to the ground.
Needless to say, I wasn't happy about it, and so I wanted to know more about my killer.
It was then I began to learn about mages and their kind. I began to desire their blood.
I was infuriated that some bastard would set a cloud somewhere to injure the young.
Not long after my desire to hunt these magi began, did I learn about others who also did.
And so my desires shifted a bit, I then and there decided to seek a hut within the Village.
It didn't take long for them to notice my passion, and my belief in their way.
I was inducted into the village after obtaining acrobatics in my guild and
have progressed in taking an active role in the ways of the village. Seeking to lead
it in this time without leadership. This has become my passion of greatest concer
