Description

Before you stands a dwarf of average height. The top of his head only reaching to four foot, two inches. His eyes are brown like the earth beneath, and his hair a slightly lighter shade of brown. His beard is fairly long and tied near the chin with a leather cord that wraps itself in a spiral all the way to the tip. The end of the leather cord has a few spikes on it, and you gather that this dwarf will even use his long beard in battle. His body is a stocky block of purse muscle with hands gripping the hafts of hammers. On his back he carries a shield, and loops surround his belt for hanging extra hammers. His eyes are filled with an intensity and rage that few could stand to look at long. There is no doubt he was born to fight. As you look closer you notice that...

Role

The blessing of Ancient Kin

Added Mon Jul 9 16:57:30 2007 at level 39:
While sitting near the forge of his Kin Grime, a smith to the Battleragers,
Tromish would think back upon his heritage. He contemplates where his life
began, and thinks of where his life is going. Tromish has learned that not
all duergar are vile creatures as he has fought beside his brother in arms,
Vwarg. Tromish has also learned that though drow can be prickly, like
Drovis, that they are not all like the learned magi of their city. He has
also encountered other troubles, from places he did not expect. It seems as
he travels that he finds many of the wilds would rather put a spear in him
than speak of the mountains. He has defended himself against all kinds, but
unless they were magi he has tried to refrain from striking first.

Even with all of this learning Tromish still feels that he must strive
harder, and do more. He wishes for his namesake to be given, and believes
his actions will bring about the blessing of his ancient kin. He also
believes that to become a legend of thera, and follow the Great Battle Lord
Kastellyn would be one of his ultimate goals. With a legend comes the legacy
of his clan that will live on past his mortal life, and do that end he has
decided to strive. Actions speak the loudest to Tromish, and so he moves and
acts in accordance with his beliefs, hoping one day the ancient kin will seek
him out. That one day, when he takes his final breath, he will always be
remembered among the BronzeHammers.

A BronzeHammer is born.

Added Wed Jun 13 13:33:36 2007 at level 8:
Tromish BronzeHammer was born to the BronzeHammer clan in the mountains of
Akan. The BronzeHammer clan is a well-known clan of fighting dwarves who
have always been called on in the fights against the duergar in Mortorn. It
should be no surprise to any that the mobile hung above Tromishs stone
crib displayed various hammers and shields bearing the standard of the
crossing bronze hammers. Nor should it be a surprise that Tromishs father
would place a clan shield below his son within that crib. It was born into
him from that first day that he would grow and fight against the troubles of
his clan. As he became older his father placed him into practice wielding a
hammer, and defending with a shield. The hammer at first was of course
padded for protection, but as he grew older he began to get a feel for its
grip. Once he had learned the hammer, his father then taught him how to
fight with his bare hands. When Tromish would grow weary his father we set
him down and retell stories of the glories of the dwarves. He would speak to
him of the ferocity of Thror, and the courage of Holtzendorf. He would talk
to him about the purity of battle, and the need for a clean soul and body.
He taught him of the ways of the Village and what he should do as he grew
older. He told him of the treachery of the mages, and how they have taken
what is not theirs. He would teach him the value of courage, and of the true
power that comes from the heart, not from potions. Into this life he thrust
his son Tromish, with that hope that one day he would have a hut within the
Village of the Battleragers. That the BronzeHammer name would live on past
their long lives, and make a difference in the world around them.
