Description

This nasty smelling brutish.. thing moves by with all the grace of a lumbering corpse. Bulging muscles ripple across its arms as it fumbles about. It's skin carries a slightly greenish cast and one eye seems set slightly higher than the other. What appear to be whip scars criss-cross every visible portion of skin, a lone broken tusk jutting from its cruel mouth. A viscous foamy liquid slowly parts ways with it's mouth, splattering noisily as it lands on it's armor. The armor and weaponry it carries appears to still carry stains and in some places, pieces of the previous owners. There is, however, a gleam of something more than simple animal cunning in it's eyes and that something looks hungry.

Wishing power, wealth and food for the whole clan, he will aid younger orcs to get large enough to travel with him.
While seeking power for himself it is secondary to his desire to have unusual things. He will act as if he has no
desire for the position of chieftan. Leading others to believe thay they and not he will run the village. If someone
else is cheiftan he will follow them gladly unless they show a weakness that will cause the clan to lose power.
Currently he seeks to be the left hand of the clan. The right hand being the hand that hits the left the one that takes.  

He will follow stronger orcs willingly, and weaker orcs if he can cajole or flatter them into taking the damage for him.
Whatever orc is cheiftan, he will follow, the next strongest orc that doesn't try to kill the chieftan will of course be the
right hand. Then he will seek a position at the left hand, if possible that of a clan witch doctor or
If he can work his way into the priesthood , the position of a holy orc. We shall see what comes.

He walked in to petition Tremblefist to become a student, and lo at his feet laid the trappings of power.
Items similar to the mighty shaman himself. He takes this as a sign that following the path of the shaman
is the path meant for him. 
Gathering the items to him, he went off to wallow in the blood of the elves of the vale to grow strong enough
to be worthy of the path fate has laid before him.

Thrunna revealed to Truhukk the high likelyhood that she was his dame. She is a tough old sow, and deserving of respect
especially since he doesn't want to get eaten. In almost every other case Truhukk would treat sows as slightly lesser beings
but, his own mother is a different story. She is sly and quick, strong and savage. He wonders now if perhaps a sow would make
a better chief than the other orcs who struggle for the position.

So a young lord filled Truhukk's head with ideas, rather non-conformist ideas. Rattled the poor buggers head.
Orcs run in packs, make the weak submit or eat them, bow down to the strong. It's been that way a long long time.
Truhukk is already too weak for other orcs, wants the clan to be strong, helps others in the clan. He just seems
do be doing a decent job of hiding it. His thoughts were always along one path, and now this lordling has pointed
out how many other roads there are branching from the main one Therans are born on. Though it could be a trick.
Weaken the clan by sowing dissention, weaken Truhukk by making him lose focus. In the end it is all just words,
but words can change minds, which in turn can change everything. This is going to weigh heavy on his mind for
some time to come.

A step in an odd direction.

Too much has happened to fully explain. Talking a few fort folk, slowly changing his ways. Step
by step. Then, after a bit of goading from Enlilth, Truhukk outed himself by trying to help retrieve
the orb. Fighting side by side with the paladin was... a new experience. Might have worked out
as well, but after giving up the element of surprise... It got really ugly.
We shall see what kind of pain gets piled on Truhukk now, perhaps he chose the wrong adaptation.
Shig-ru learn masochism which would be fitting for what is left of Truhukk's life.

Taking the next step. Truhukk is having a bit of difficulty with folk of the light not really
wanting to be beacons for others to find their path. That's okay though. He'll stumble along as
best he can. Already he doesn't drink the blood of elves, though he wants to find out how those
of the light might accept drinking wood-elf or duergar blood. Seems they have a distaste for blood
in general, but they sure spill enough of it. After speakin with the dark lord and changing his 
leggings, He needs to see about learning how a club can become a sword, seems a shield would be
a bit too far of a stretch. Now how to get someone to help him learn to be something OTHER than
an orc. We should wish him good luck, but really when has this guy EVER had good luck? Heh.

Stumble through the brambles.

Truhukk has begun learnin new things in his path towards the light, like aiding others for no gain,
other than the satisfaction of simply helping another. It has started a strange warm feeling inside
him that he is just unsure what to do with. Perhaps it is the light kindling within, or perhaps he
is about to burst into flames. He will take this as a good sign though as fire is both comforting
and useful, well... until it tries to hug you that is.

The other steps are of a different nature. Choosing to pass up using many Mundunugu skills that are
too obviously dark in nature. Several times gravesleep could have saved him, but the potion used mixes
the blood of elves into it, so he does not use this skill. Other skills he uses in places that seem
tainted in some way. Like making soot in deep caves or the underdark. Taking life from the tainted.

A third step, the most bumbling, is to strike out at the tainted. Most of his battles end in the
blink of an eye, with yet another victory for the dark. While many he can simply escape, those who
he might find a more balanced battle with tend to do as he does, when the going gets bloody get the
hell out. In all honesty, he leaves only his own corpses lying about. Never once having succeeded at
lessening the dark spirits that roam Thera. He is completely aware at how pathetic his battle skills are.

A more successful step is where he has been speaking to folk across the land, explaining how he came
to this path. A young dark-elf and he shared a long conversation in the inn where the dark one revealed
his desire to seek a more balanced place in the lands. While many conversations bear no fruit. It is
worth the try. He believes he planted a seed in the minds of a few others, but it is likely that they
will not heed the wisdom of aiding others rather than savaging them. A seed may grow, however, given
the right environment. Many talks have been simply proving as best he can his sincere desire to walk
in the light to those OF the light. Some still do not believe, others are duty bound to still hunt him
though they DO believe. Perhaps one day...

Here ends the last bits of Truhukk's previous life. Having asked Kakola to cleanse what he could
and asking friends to bear witness (though they might not see him as friend HE is thiers.)
He stated that he will no longer make fetishes even from the corpses of the wicked, though the reason
is that the fetishes themselves bear the taint. If somehow that were to change... but it is not likely to.
He stated that he would not be covering himself with soot, even when sucking the life from tainted places.
The most emotionally painful part was to sacrifice the elven skull he had been carrying around with
him since childhood, when he would dip it in blood and shake it about the room to bless the group
he was learning or hunting with. This particular skull held great meaning to him and so he hung
on to it long after it was proper to do so, and with the destruction of the skull went the last
vestiges of Truhukk's former life.

Though there is not much stamina left to him, the Lord of Mercy showed exactly that and burned
away the taint from Truhukk. While he knows there is little hope to live long enough to become
one who walks in the light, there IS still hope. His only regrets are of his misspent youth and
that the spark he feels is within his mother is too dim an ember to be fanned to life and have her
join him on his path into the light and end her loneliness. It is not something that will be, but
is a regret he holds. He knows he can never replace the lives of the light folk he has taken, but
perhaps that little bit of help offered here and there will help someone find peace.

And he found peace in the end.
