Description
The figure of the man before you is a prime example
of the reason why cleanliness is important to the
everyday life of the adventurer. Though it seems
he may be handsome beneath it all, there is much
dirt and grime to sift through before you reach
his potentially attractive features.
His armor is kept in what may be the grubbiest of
conditions, and accounts for most of his dirty
features. Streaks of mud, blood, and gore spot,
dot and adorn the armor in various places. There
are dents and scratches unbuffed and unhammered,
old and telling of battle.
Wavy black hair cascades down to his shoulders...
at least, it seems to be black. It may just be
dirty and unkempt, having once been brown. His
beard is untrimmed and ragged, framing a youthful
face that simply looks as though a garden of beard
had burst into life upon it. His frame is wiry
and muscular but not stocky, his skin marred by
the weather of the realms. At his side, other
than his weapons, he carries a small leather book.
Role
Gates of Change
Added Thu Aug 19 04:16:00 2010 at level 1:
As he walks through the Academy gates,
An adventuresome song he does equate
With every step he dares to take.
The echoes of his lonely footsteps steal
Focus from the path beneath his lonesome heels
But his determination shall not yield.
Duty is a wreath upon him,
Set upon this path so daunting,
He is the first to run this gauntlet,
To change the path and past so flaunted,
Of family thievery and death unwanted.
White City
Added Thu Aug 19 20:38:43 2010 at level 10:
Trading deft hands for a shield emblazoned,
Trading quick blades for a life unbrazen,
Seeking honor for the souls once craven,
He seeks to write the wrongs of Ravens.
In word and deed he must undo,
The wrongs and villainy of the few,
Who called themselves his family true,
Those who often deemed the truth undue.
So he cast aside their mantle and came
To the White City with only their name
Tirelessly seeking to erase
The stain upon him of decency's bane.
Pledge
Added Mon Aug 23 09:21:54 2010 at level 23:
So much behind him, but so far to go
He travels the lands, high and low
Seeking truth and seeking wisdom
His feet and legs grew weary and numb
But falter, he would not.
He sought the wisdom of the Archon's Lord
Sought to cut the binding cord
Of destruction and death wrapped 'round the world
To be a beacon of light in the unchecked horde.
Upon the cliffs before the avatar
He prayed to his Lord of his part in the war
Against the spread of pestilence
And his wish to be Lord Corrlaan's testament.
His pledge was accepted.
His soul was bared and was reflected.
The shield would be raised with a steady hand.
Ride
Added Mon Aug 30 10:58:47 2010 at level 51:
Further work was to be done.
His shield to break, his legs to run,
To test endurance of this young one.
The Fortress beckoned his spirit, a call
He could not ignore, he pledged his all.
The years went on and he became a man,
A resolute grip coming to his boyish hands.
The sands of time would shift again,
Leaving far behind his boying grin.
A Shield of Lord Corrlaan and a Scribe remain,
Where once a boy was, running from his name.
The tales of battle now he told,
Less often as a poet and now more droll.
But still the spirit burned within,
To cause him to write, now and again.
The journeyman's book he wore at his side
Would fill with tales of his life's long ride.
The Proud Sons
Added Wed Sep 8 04:50:33 2010 at level 51:
The war continued, the war raged on,
Bards singing of its bloody song.
A new dent here, a new scar there,
A stoic heart in need of repair.
Faith renewed and bolstered by hope,
Though the sands of time became the ropes.
He wasn't getting any younger.
His deeds became many, his friends became few
More and more fell as the years dragged through.
When last had he heard a comrade say 'Stay strong!'?
Rather, empty air that tasted wrong.
The Shield of Corrlaan would remain,
From despair he would refrain.
Those who remained of the ones he once knew
Would become the treasured few
The ones who, with him, raised banner high
And shouted their defiance to the sky.
Each and every one, to a man
Lived for the day that they could free the land.
Though they knew it was a day they may not lay eyes on
They would pass the torch along, to the younger proud sons.
