Description
Surging bloodlust creates inner turmoil within the stoic heart of
this indomitable warrior as the seething hatred coursing through
his veins rages in an eternal battle against his own discipline. A
myriad of scars flourish over his weathered black flesh, appearing
to have been painted in a sickly white coating to give them stark
contrast against the darkness of his skin. Thick granite muscles
slither with engorged veins as he moves with a fluid grace that is
a testament to his training, his armours have been selected with a
meticulous eyes to offer him both adequate protection and maximum
range of motion in combat. Each piece of his arsenal appears to be
meticulously maintained and care for as if they were the tools of
a renowned artisan as if the routine itself is his form of worship.
Malicious black eyes stare out below a furrowed brow with a malice
as the tormented spirit behind the veil surveys the lands sprawled
out before him with the tactical intimacy of a creature enduring a
constant war. A beard flourishes from him grizzled jaw, braided in
a warriors knot and adorned with the trophies of his past conquests
in battle. Two sheathes have been strapped over his back as the two
handles of his trusted companions lay within constant reach of his
calloused hands that would appear naked without a blade held within
their vengeful grasp.
Role
Tzarve
Added Mon Oct 7 04:56:00 2019 at level 24:
Unlike others Tzarve (pronounced Zarv-a) did not lose his family to mages. His story is not
one of revenge. Instead this duergar came to his own conclusion by observation. As a young
one he would watch the villagers in their war against mortal magic with inspiration and
admiration. The warriors he watched fight were impressive and gave him much awe. One
day he decided that he would train to become a warrior and join the war. As the years came
and the training under way, physical maturity kicked in and delivered a ferocious
temperament. For Tzarve, going in to berserk was a natural as eating his dinner and as
equally fulfilling. But the cost was inner turmoil. In his mind, the big picture was the most
important and that was the war and victory. But the berserk, the rage pushed the battle as all
that mattered. Tzarve would continue to battle with his war vs battle turmoil.
Tzarve prouded himself on his training, he built up strong muscles but they did not hinder his
movement. He became a versatile fighter with the upmost respect for his weapons and his
armor. He took meticulous care with his things, keeping them well sharp and maintained.
Tzarve appeared simple, but behind it was complexity. His eyes would reveal malice, he was
capable of murdering the so-called innocence without hesitation or remorse in the most evil
fashion. But other times strategy and mercy would be shown, times when he was thinking
about the war and victory, rather than the battle. To win the war, he felt he must be
respected to rally more to the side, this helped restrain the berserk, but kept a conflict with
himself.
After claiming his first mage kill, Tzarve tied a braided knot in his beard. This was to remind
him of his trophy and that he was one mage kill closer to the war being won. He hoped to tie
many more knots on his beard over the coming years.
To balance this Tzarve would cover his scars with a white paint, which also contrasted with
his black skin. This was to highlight his fails. Tzarve was always thinking about the war and
victory and wanted his enemies to know that this duergar has taken all this damage and is
still coming and if he can stand he can fight. The other reason was to inspire recruits to the
inner strength one can achieve.
The Nemesis
Added Thu Nov 14 05:09:32 2019 at level 41:
Tzarve now had quite a number of white marks on his body. Scars made from
impaling's from the most unholy spear. The spear wielded by Chuta, the dark
mage. For years Tzarve has been obsessed with killing Chuta. Quite a number
of the souls in Chuta's spear was from failed attempts. Tzarve was able to hold
his own against the Dark Knight, but could not prevent the magical escape.
Tzarve would only die if Chuta landed the awful spell that puts one to sleep.
Tzarve had time to think during his meditation period. Though he did not set
out to learn to meditate. Tzarve spent weeks waiting in places like the shadow
grove, mountains towards the planar sanctum and organia to surprise Chuta
with his flail. Unfortunately Chuta never came, perhaps bad luck or perhaps he
underestimated the mages ability to predict his trap. This quiet time was useful, the
meditation would provide Tzarve further control to his aggression. Tzarve hoped
he could switch his berserk rage on desire, rather than by impulse alone.
Chuta has been killed. Tzarve has mix feelings, above all, he wanted the dark knight
to be destroyed. But he also wanted to be to take the spear from the corpse himself.
Tzarve left with white paint on his scars and no knot in his beard over this damn mage.
With the death of his nemesis, nothing in his way, Tzarve will advance to the pinnacle
and continue the war!
