Description

Graying flesh with the stench of the charnel flows thickly over the eerily stretched bones of this wretched creature. Knobby elbows, knees, and finger joints seem to make the hulking form of this beast even larger, and her claws an even more formidable weapon. Her shoulders show a former female anatomy, but what were once breasts are now heavily muscular pectoral muscles with only a hint of suppleness remaining. Ichor filled eye sockets housing blackened orbs peer unblinkingly, the eyelids of having long since receded to some terrible disease. Her lips, though thin in life, are nonexistant now, and do nothing to conceal row after row of vicious sharpened and yellowing teeth. Adipocere and mud cling to her tattered robes, doing nothing to conceal the dark energies surging around her. Her hair remains red, but has become one disgusting dreadlock. Plans of Ulamette the Graceful Wightwitch

Ulamette's disgusting and withered appearance is due to her breeding, if one
could call it that. Her mother was a sorceress of necromancy of some note,
though exiled from even the darkest of the drowish orders. She held a house
and used men as unwilling hosts to her experiments and as house servants. To
breed with them, she would force herself upon them after restraining them,
and take them. In the moments of climax, a solution of the becoming that
would normally change someone to a wight was applied, also forcefully. In
that moment of their release, she would climb off, assure the transformation
had indeed begun properly, and dispatch them for further research. On the day
of the child's birth, when she went into labor, she drank a similar
concoction and purged herself from the mortal coil and became a wight
herself, having the child Ulamette during the ritual. After years of
miserable and foul tutelage in many languages, arts, and the dark arts, she
released her daughter on to the world to spread destruction, death and hatred
in what ways she saw fit.

She plans to join the empire, after the most lucrative offers to her greed
and vanity were present there. Her becoming, barring further advances in her
research, is to become a Wight. She has heard this might thrust her from
order, but she would be thrusted from the chaos in her heart upon taking it.
She prefers, among vain and materialistic pursuits, flattery, selfishness,
manipulation, and using her nefarious ways with dark arts with all of her
said traits to get whatever she wants at any particular moment. She is in her
heart of hearts nothing more than a selfish little girl, and would just as
soon turn from the empire and destroy it as swear an oath of fealty to it.

Rise and destroy, Scion...

Taking a knee before the Chancellor, the hulking form of Ulamette sagged for
just a moment with some measure of relief. All these years searching to
traverse the same dark path of becoming as her mother. All of the deception,
death, and destruction that can be had as a leader of the black sects armies.
And finally, the chance to show her true quality as a scion of the eternal
night.

The memory of a conversation came unbidden to the fore of her thoughts, a
response to the Voice of the Scarab when asked of her path in the Empire.

"Destruction for destructions sake is easy. To excell, one must first create
something great to destroy."

She always knew it would be this way, and now has come to find a lair more
fitting of someone of her strength. She came in to the scions as another
anathema before her breathed life into a portal to call the nightwalkers to
ravage the land. 

She had no idea how dire the situation was for the dark armies of the shadowy
planes, though. Not only was the scepter inert, but the bounds between the
prime and the planes of radiance had let a thread remain linked with this
world. She vowed to make the soul sacrifices necessary to bring power back to
the chasm where it belonged, and to fulfill the prophecies of the Eternal
Night in the face of the hardships caused by those of the light, so greedy
for their own ends and yet entirely blind to the truth in their souls.

She rose from one knee after the Chancellor gave her a dark kiss, born yet
again. First in chaos, then in order, then in balanced darkness, and now a
Scion.

Whispers in the dark

The dark wizardress Ulamette had always set her sights high, so to speak. The
means to the ends she sought were of course the lowest of creatures in the
eyes of the ignorant. Having spent some time slaking her hunger on the blood
and bones of those same fools, she came to understand her path thus far as
having been wise. 

Her readings in the library of necromancy within the deepest pits of the
chasm where the coven hold the still inert scepter led her to learn of the
nature and habits of the nightwalkers in depth. She learned that they react
not with words, or broad political gestures she endured and practiced coming
up in the empire, but to things like death, fear, hate, and lust. 

Though long since lost to the pleasures of the living, she found the graying
ashen flesh of her face turned upwards in a lopsided grin. It was as if all
she had done to this point was to entice them, and all that she dreamed of
doing in the future would strengthen and call them to join her cause. Or was
it more that she was, by her very nature, coming to join them?

As this thought came to her, she could hear what seemed an audience of
shadows hissing in unison. Her gazed shifted to the shadow minion that
guarded this library within a sepulchre. The source of the unsettling noise
and aura filling the air was always shifting at the edges of her vision.

All she would hope for in the core of her being, though really spoken aloud,
was all that the Ccul'gra know. She arose from her meditations, content in
what she learned, willing the shadows to hear her thoughts, though stating
one aloud:

"Guide me. Show me the path. Our will be done."

An infernal supplication spoken to the lords of Scion

The shadows grow silent. Perhaps death will bring them to bear.

Nuerria and those before me in the chasm have been simply used as pawns, but
not by the denizens once called by the Ebony Scepter, but by other forces of
darkness and used until there was nothing left to use. Now this fool Nuerria
holds the knowledge she gained being nothing more than a pawn of our enemies
close to herself, as if telling the story of her folly would be giving her
power away.

More disturbing, she doesn't recognize it as folly. The shadows are silent,
and so are the spirit realms. But so to, are the mages within the chasm. If
our enemies provide more knowledge than those within, we are undone and none
of it matters anyway. And so, I shall go to my deepest instincts that have
served me, be they to great glory for the Night, or to its ruin in finality.

Destruction works through me, Only the archmage or the dark lords of the
Scions can stop me now, and I will tear, rend, and feast until I have my
answers, or all is ash. In the end, I too will be ash, and am under no
delusions of grandeur as these other petty mages are. Let them keep their
conceit, and I will keep their bones.

Night everlasting. Amen.
