Description
You find yourself looking at a human woman, though something
seems a bit different about her. There is a sense of goodness that
radiates from her. Her skin is snowy white, and almost shimmers with
a gentle sparkle. Long locks of golden blonder hair flows down her
back, brilliant like the rising sun at dawn. Her eyes are a radiant gold-
yellow blazing brightly with a warming welcome. Her lips are lush and
only slightly red in color. Her bosom is average amd she stands about
average height for a human woman, and her body mostly lithe. A
scent of a spring morning shower seems to surround her. She would
be considered attractive by human standards.
Role
Once in a Hundred Years
Added Thu Jan 5 11:37:08 2023 at level 11:
Time means little to an immortal being and as such, a hundred years
had passed. It was no different to the Archon then the sun setting and
rising for the mortal realm. It was not long ago that the Archon
granted a wish to that last Theran, and already the time to grant
another boon had come. Once in a hundred years the Archon visited
the mortal realm of Thera to help some poor, good person in dire
need. The Archon was never picky, just whoever caught their eye.
Today, the Archon heard the cry of a couple nearly broken with grief,
begging the light to help them. Rising their spear above them, the
Archon was enveloped by a brilliant golden light, disappearing from
the spot they stood.
A young couple hugs one another as they sob in despair. Their child
gasping at the last of her breath. Time seems to slow down almost
coming to complete stand still. A blinding brilliance fills the room as
the Archon emerges, the light obsurcing its face. Warmth fills the
room from its presence as the Archon looks down upon the child.
Mercy etches across the Archon's cloaked face as it studies the baby.
The Archon draws a beautiful sword from its sheath. Holding the
sword before it, the Archon whispers to the blade.
"My dear friend, I must ask of you a great favor. This child before us
dies, but the two of us can save her. This may be the last time I hold
you within my hands, so I ask, will you imbue her with your strength
and resolve?"
The sword flares a bright blue as if response and the Archon smiles.
"Thank you my dear friend. Perhaps in time we will see each other
once more. Be her guide, be her strength, be her purity."
The Archon holds the beautiful sword over the baby, the blade
glowing a rich blue. With a powerful verse of words from the Archon,
the blade shatters into a million fragments falling and merging with
the girl. The baby's breathing normalizes and the threat of death
fades to lost memory. Once more the Archon lifts their spear and
vanishes from whence they stood. Time speeds back up again and the
couple embraces the child, something in their hearts telling them she
was going to be fine.
Vaelah's Youth
Added Thu Jan 5 11:41:51 2023 at level 11:
Vaelah was different then most children. First she looked different
from other humans, her presence felt different. She almost seemed
to glow at times. Good people seemed to be drawn to her, while
those with wicked desires avoided her.
At a young age she was always trying to help those in need, even if it
was doing something to make them happy, like bringing them a
flower or giving them a hug. She also would stand up to bullies,
protecting other children her age. Her time was not peaceful always,
as she was willing to punch and hit those doing wrong.
This lead to her making enemies, people who wanted to see nothing
but bad to happen to this righteous princess. As the years passed and
the girl grew to a teenager, her beauty also came to fruitation. Evil
men oft hoped to catch her and ruin her for they hated her and lusted
after her all the same. Yet, she always found a way to fight them as if
some holy power was in her.
Perhaps it was by chance, or the strings of fate, that such an
encounter was observed by one of the paladins of Galadon. The
paladin took notice of her resolve and righteousness that filled her.
Being educated he also notice the differences in her, the signs that
she was not just human, but touched and protected by a holy being.
The paladin's work and charm pushed Vaelah towards the Paladin
guild, where she entered the Academy and learned to harness her
sacred power and learn the tenants of holy knights. They were able to
give her focus and purpose. And at last, she finished her studies at the
Academy and set off to do good in a land where Wickedness did not
hide. The Archon smiled, its blade doing its duty.

My Vow - A Lantern
Added Wed Jan 11 12:11:22 2023 at level 34:
My dearest goddess, Lady Azorinne, I, Vaelah, make this vow to you
and to the world.
"I shall always be there to listen to someone, to drop what I am doing
to hear them. To hear their pains, their sorrows, their joys, and all they
need a shoulder to lean on for."
Vaeleh reflects on the past days. How she finds herself among the
Fortress working as a Scribe, chatting and listening to the others in
hopes of gleaming something that will make her a better person and
better Scribe. She listened how several shared how they had to make
judgements, some around combat, and some around the nature of
people. This helped her decide on her on vow.
What are people called who shine brightly for people to look to in
their times of darkness she was asked. Many would have responded
with the word Beacon, but Vaeleh, she simply said Lantern. The
difference is that a Lantern could be held and carried through the
darkness, providing light to illuminate an individual path. Perhaps it
was the sword in her that helped form this answer. To once again be
carried and provide security to its user.
