Description

A large being is here before you, his thick frame stretching well over six feet in height. Long locks of auburn hair hang from his head, pulled back into a thick single braid that trails down his back reaching his waist. Soft gray blue eyes peer out from beneath a heavy brow. His overly broad and bulbous nose is slightly crooked as if once broken. A heavy full beard of dark brown hair covers his well tanned face. Encircling his neck is an intricate design done in green ink that disappears beneath his clothes. Around his waits hangs a simple rope belt, strung with beads and shells, tied tightly at his left hip, the loose strands hang freely, the knotted ends resting just above his knee. Surrounding him is the heavy earthy smell of the deep woods.

Role

The cracked earth.

...The great cycle of life holds us each in its grip gently guiding us into
this world at birth and holding us in it eternal embrace as we pass from
this life. This is true for all that lives and breathes from the trees, to the
birds, to you and I...

ancient druid droned on his teachings of the cycle changed little
from when Valarael first heard them many moons ago. While he learned
his lessons with diligence and respect, he began to wonder if all the
elders did was sit and quietly watch time pass before them, accepting
everything as part of the great cycle but doing nothing. Was there ever a
time for action? Young and rash they would say if I asked, as if I cannot
hear and see the pain and distress of the great forests, of the beast, and of
the land with my own eyes and ears! Soon my initiation will be
complete then I will take my leave for I know I can do more to heal and
easy the pain of the forest through action then by simply living in peace
and harmony with nature.

And so, Valarael finished his initiation and was accepted for further
teachings within the circle of druids. Thus the young, strong minded
youth took his leave to seek out a way to heal the land.

In search of the Sunborn

Added Mon Aug 28 17:55:50 2006 at level 9:
It has been only a short while since I have left the druidic circle and
began my training and already I have come to some conclusions of the
land. There is wickedness that I never witnessed in my peaceful camp,
vileness that wracks almost every forest that I have wandered through,
whether it be human, orc, or beast this darkness shadows all in blanket
of evil and works to corrupt the land. It is for this reason that I Valarael
Naduin will seek the out the Sunborn for his blessing, to see the wrath of
the light returned to the forests and glades to drive out these shadows for
the greatest healing cannot take place under such unnatural stress.

The Glade and Galadhwen

Added Mon Aug 28 21:58:58 2006 at level 11:
What a wondrous day! May the Sun shine its warmth and light down on
all! Galadhwen such a kind being to have offered to guide me in my
search for the meaning of the Glade, she has filled me with an abundant
energy and a zest for life! But there was more then celebration, her
words held wisdom in them as deep as her eternal beauty. To walk in
the Sun to join the Glade, does this mean I must also become one with
the Light? The question never asked, but left for me to decipher on my
own. The elders cannot help me now I am afraid this is my path, my
chosen way, and I know it to be the true path, my heart, my mind, and
my soul scream that this is the path and it will not lead me astray. And
thus, I can only do that which I know to be true, to follow, no not follow
but to live the words scribed on the altar.
