Description

Valdifer stands short for one of his race and seems slight of build as well. Light brown hair hangs losely about his shoulders, and a thin beard of the same color covers most of his face. Dark eyes peer from beneath hair which sometimes falls over his face. Valdifer is clothed in shoddy rags and hides which appear crudely crafted, but seem to give some protection from the elements.

Born to poor merchants in the city of Udgaard, Valdifer realized
from a very young age he did not want the life his parents lead.
Even as a child, the cruelness of the city was apparent to him.
He heard the slogans of harsh measures being needed to maintain
order and progress, but he could also see who in the city
benefitted from it's order, and who barely survived in it.

He was aware of campaigns to the east which seemed to halt the
cities progress.  He would slip out from time to time, to learn
of those who lived there, admiring their freedom.  He listened to them
and their teaching of Thar-Eris.  However, he was disappointed
that they seemed content to only try to protect their way of
life, and not doing more todetroy those who would threaten it.

Further Travels

Valdifer left Udgaard for good as soon as he was able.  He had
learned enough from the onehearts to survive on his own from the
land.  He has also learned rudimentary magics of making himself
more beastlike, and found he gained more ability to lose himself
to animal instincts as he gained in experience across the realm.

Valdifer learned that he longed to be free and savage, and 
that he hated those who would limit him in this.  To these ends
Valdifer found inspireation to continue his travels of the 
realm and to home his destructive nature and ability to shape
the realm into one which he might roam and hunt freely.

Also, Valdifer realized he had learned much from the onehearts
and suspected there were others in the realm who might have
values close to his own.  He wanted to find them and see what
they could reach him as well.

Rejection and Acceptance

In his initial attempts to communicate, Valdifer met with either rejection or
ignorance from both the elder's of the tree and his chosen deity.  Valdifer
realized to impress reavers and gods he needed to become more powerful and
accomplished, which he set out to do.  In perhaps what was a stroke of luck,
the former nightreaver perished, and a new one was raised by the ancients,
and Valdifer gained his "branch."  He quickly shows his worth showing he
deserved the chance he was given.

Although Valdifer has a few victories now, he decides it is wise to wait a
while lower before approaching a God again.
