Description
Slender and pale, this high-elf seems frail and fragile. Strange, then
that he carries such an assortment of armour and weapons about him.
His hair, reflecting gold, is cropped short, and his features seem hardened,
lines deeply set for one so young.
His clothing is neat, though bloody, and his bearing is proud and noble.
Blond hair, short cropped and nearly ragged, belies the crispness of
his bloodied clothing. His eyes flash clear blue, sparkling jewels set among
his thin face.
His thin face seems tired, shadowed, as though something of great importance
troubles him.
Role
Veteran!

A new day, indeed!
For perhaps but a few more visits to the healer before my body gives out entirely,
I will be known as a Veteran of Battle. The Commander, Kaisse, has given me this distinctive
honour, one which I shall strive to bear with all the rigour that duty requires.
I have noted of late another firstborn is in the village already, with yet another
indicating a desire to number amongst us. Perhaps there is yet hope for my fallen kin.
My first accomplishment as Veteran, the felling of Jopenstanruk, a shifter with both
and porcupine forms, who came to the village with a barrier while I made these notes. A hopeful
beginning!
Worries
Added Thu Dec 1 20:57:35 2005 at level 51:
For the first time, I find myself concerned. I worry endlessly about these three
things that Immortal Ordasen bid me find. The price of these was so high, four
deaths for the village. And I cannot risk losing them, or paying that price again.
Faltarn

Faltarn
This giant of the Fortress swears to me that none of the Fortress assaulted the Destructor.
And yet, he will not swear that in front of the Great Bear. How then, can I trust the words of this
giant, who will not give his oath to the gods?
This war with the Fortress hurts my spirit, and yet I must continue on, for they did
did wrong the village, and have not made amends.
A sad day.

A sad day, indeed! The village has declared war upon the fortress!
A shameful assault upon the village by the fortress, and dishonour by Faltarn, this must
be repaid in kind. I will venture to the fortress of the Light, and utter a challenge to
them.
Sad day, indeed.
Brotherhood in Arms
Added Wed Oct 12 23:07:31 2005 at level 48:
An interesting lesson, even the darkest of hearts in this village is willing
to stand up and offer their own life in support of one of their brothers.
Something that I must take to heart, as a defender of this village, that
we are all soldiers on the same side of this war, and that our support for each
other must be unwavering.
I was stupid. I walked into the lair of the snowworm. The songsmith offered up his
own life in order to save mine. In the end, through the mercy of the gods and
Aladar's art, I was granted release from that trap. Koai came, brought me food
and water in order that I might survive long enough for this hurried artwork to
be created.
Always remember, Varthas, the brotherhood of the village.
Bruen & Vardahk
Added Tue Sep 6 23:30:14 2005 at level 21:
Yestereve, I entered battle with a duergar shaman, blood-oath to the
infernal Empire, and a bard. Their names were Bruen and Vardahk. The battle was
fierce, and lasted long, yet in the end, I emerged victorious against them.
By the last of my strength, to be sure, but victorious all the same.
This battle was of such epic proportions that it attracted even the attentions
of the heavens, and Ordasen himself congratulated me on a hard won victory,
He gifted me with a necklace mad from their bones, a precious gift.
Illastrin
Added Thu Aug 25 22:49:42 2005 at level 19:
The perversions of the few will be suffered no longer.
This day, the 11th of the Month of the Winter Wolf, I slew Illastrin the elf
in fair combat. We spoke briefly after I issued the challenge, and he kept his word
and died to me in fair combat.
Though it pains me so, I must hold the purity and honour of my race above
my own hurt. I must be strong to walk in honour.
A brief role
Added Mon Aug 22 23:29:08 2005 at level 11:
This elf is arrogant, and proud to boot. He has a good idea of the supremacy
of the High Elves over those of the other mortal races, and refuses charity, and the
assistance of others.
This will, of course, lead him to great deals of trouble.
