Description
Bright violet eyes shine out from underneath a tattered mess of unkempt
white hair that is nearly translucent in appearance. Standing around
five and a half feet tall with a lean build this dark-elf is not the
most imposing figure you have ever seen. His dull charcoal coloured
skin is marred with various scars. His sharp jaw-line compliments the
rest of his handsome facial structure. His clothing is quite worn, and
looks simple in origin. His forehead seems to almost be constantly
twisted into a scowl, and you can't help but get the feeling that
something is very sinister indeed about this dark-elf.
Role
Taking a chance with fate.

Veszyn is fascinated by death, while he is curious about his own fate nothing
pleases him more than taking the life of another. The thrill of fast paced
combat and the challenge of outwitting a strong foe bring him great satisfaction.
Veszyn is the youngest son of Matron Dra'zyr, and is the only of his house still
living. Shortly after he completed his time as an acolyte within the academy his
house came under siege by the rival house Zy'wyr. Veszyn was taken as a slave,
and was forced to fight in the pits for the amusement of his captors. As a result
he is covered with scars from fighting, each of which he considers a lesson learned.
While not fighting in the pits, Veszyn was kept with the rest of the slaves. He
kept to himself, and spent much of his time plotting a means to escape. He believed
that it was not his fate to perish within the pits, nor would he die an old wretch
within the slave pens.
After a few years of studying the routine of the guards, Veszyn believed he had
found an opportunity. He offered a silent prayer to the midnight spider, and
decided regardless the outcome he would resign himself to his fate. Taking a
chance, he was able to quietly dispatch a pair of distracted guardsmen. He then
fled the underdark, knowing that to survive he must learn to make his way upon
the surface.
Upon reaching the surface, Veszyn decided that he would offer worship to the
Midnight spider, for it was Drehir who knew Veszyn's fate, and would guide him.
The time spent as a slave has imparted a great distaste for society upon Veszyn.
He hates the idea of there being an 'order' to things, and despises slavery. He
has pledged to live his life free and unbound, fate being the only thing that
shall hold sway over him.
Setting the hook

Drehir's red eyes peered from the shadows as his voice was but a whisper "You need a
hook, something to make them believe you, to want to believe you.". Veszyn listened
intently, taking in the words of the Midnight spider. He began to understand that
when it came to deception, it was best to start small. This is why Drehir had tasked
him with a small series of deceptions.
Veszyn did not wait long before he set himself to the task. Zszaun's green eyes
widened as Veszyn spoke to him. The young Felar thirsted for knowledge of the world
something that Veszyn could provide. His orange ears perked as Veszyn pointed out
a staff of maple within the brew pot of the mage they had just slain. He looked at
Veszyn with awe, and admiration. Veszyn smiled slightly, which the Felar took as a
sign of friendship, but truly it was because Veszyn knew his subtle hook had been set.
Screaming a battle cry, Zszaun charged the large guard with abandon, as Veszyn took
up rank behind him in the onslaught. The Felar would unwittingly aide Veszyn more
than Veszyn had ever intended to aide him. "Such is the true way of a reaver" Veszyn
thought to himself as the Felar eagerly proved his worth. "The strongest will always
reap the greater reward." Veszyn mused with a grin. Zszaun flattened his ears and
asked 'You serve Drehir, are you deceitful like Adira?'. "Of course not." Veszyn
replied with a kind smile.
His first hook had been set, so he immediately set himself to the second. Next his
intent was to convince the bull, Gorrborno that he meant him no further harm for the
time being. The villager would want to believe this as Veszyn was a potent foe for
him, but not one whom he would consider an enemy of the village. Veszyn's intent was
to grow even stronger, without strife with the bull..so that when the time came the
bull would be no match at all for the power that Drehir had granted to Veszyn. This
plotting and planning pleased Veszyn almost as much as bringing death to others. His
deceptions would bring great reward if executed properly.
