Description

This fire giant looks to be a looming figure before you. His size seems larger than what you imagined a fire giant could be. His size borders on gargantuan and judging by his stature and framing, his growth does not seem to have ended. His skin is a deep purple with an underlying hue of green. It is if someone mixed together inks of red and blue, creating this skin color. Also out of the ordinary, it is barely visible that the skin of the giant is steaming in a way. . As he moves about eddies of steam roll of his body into a fluttering cloud. His eyes are also unique in that they are completely white and without a pupil at all. The sunken eyes give him an almost ghastly or undead look, although this giant is quite alive. Furthermore, the weapons he wields matches his stature as well. They look extremely heavy and unwieldy by anyone else except one of this size.

Role

Fire and Frost Makes Steam (Part 1)

Added Fri Mar 29 12:01:02 2013 at level 10:
The first day of winter, comes the frost giants. On that day a meeting of lust
is foretold.

On this dark and cold night, a rare wintery frost giant emerges and stares
across the waters of the Open Sea toward the river outlet of Kiadana Rah.
The massive frost giant male squints in the darkness looking for something.
Just at that moment, a fire giant female, gloriously and beautiful, slowly
rides the current of the river out into the Open Sea.

The male frost giant grins widely in the darkness, then raises the ice blade
he can create inherently, and glints it in the moonlight. The female fire
sees the glint and takes up the oars. She then begins a slow and quiet
process of rowing toward him.

Docking the boat, the two giants, fire and frost, look at each other in the
darkness. Even being cold in nature, the male frost eyes burn with
lust. The female fire burns hot to the touch as they embrace in
passion and desire.

The reunion was quick, passionate, and satisfying for both. The forbidden
fruit is an attractive bite. Both took huge bites of this fruit, and then left
back into the darkness. The male frost returned to the wilds, his home,
as a ranger and protector of the wilds. A massive male giant, larger
than any other before him or after him.

The female fire, a shaman of the Empire and a powerful woman within
the Kiadana society, took what she wanted and left. It was her way to
get what she want, but in this case, she got more than she bargained for...

She became pregnant, a thought impossibility between frost and fire.

Fire and Frost makes Steam (Part 2)

Added Fri Mar 29 12:02:23 2013 at level 10:
The male frost and female fire never saw each other again until the
birth. Again, the same night, the female fire gave birth to a rare creature
known as a Steam Giant. The male frost by her side, the birth was
successful without complication. The dark prayers of the female fire
guided the birth without issue. It was a boy. After a night together again,
the morning sun was coming. Also what was coming was the end of the
winters that the male frost roamed. Soon he would find himself back to the
frozen colds in far off places away from civilization. Places so cold
nothing could survive, but a frost giant. The baby steam giant could
come with him. It would certainly die.

And the female fire, so high in the ranks of Kiadana, and also the
Imperial horde, this kind of infedelity could not be discovered. The
baby steam giant would not come with her. She would not risk
such discovery which would lead to her immediate death without
return. She knew the Dark Gods blessed this strange union so to
murder the steam male was forbidden.

Both the male frost and female fire knew what must be done. Both
had no control over their circumstances, only that they knew that
their male steam child must survive. Dark blessings for her, and
instinctual drive for him. Civilization and Beast allied for one purpose.

The male frost scooped up the steam male child and held him up
to the coming sun. As his body steamed slowly from his both internal
fire and frost, the male frost was reminded of the hunts. The coming
morning after a successful hunt. The carcass of the fallen laying
there on the ground, its body gutted and disemboweled. Trailing
out of the corpse is the steaming guts and stomach. And so the male
frost named him with a shout and howl, "Vicereaa!". Naming him
after the action of evicerating and gutting.

The male frost held the child close, the child's internal heat obviously
causing him pain. The female fire walks up and despite her powerful
look, kisses the steam child on his forehead, leaving a tiny mark. The
male frost takes his other hand not holding the bady and kisses deeply
the female fire giant hard on the lips. This is their final embrace until
next season. They both turn their own ways, the female fire back to
Kiadana and Imperial ways. The male frost, one last action before he
returns to the deadly frozen wilds.

What is a Steam Giant?

Added Fri Mar 29 12:03:09 2013 at level 10:
A Steam giant is a rare cross breeding of a frost giant and a fire giant.
This mating is usually fatal for he child itself, with the conflicting inherent
heat and cold. But sometimes nature finds a way to have this chaotic
mutation survive. This creates a giant whose body continually cools and
then heats in a wave like pattern, causing bouts of trickling steam to
roll off their bodies.

Steam giants maintain the vulnerabilities and resistances of the mother
of the union. The reason why is unknown. It has been known as steam
giants grow up, they gain both resistances and lose the vulnerabilities
that were inherent to them previously. Furthermore, steam giants are
known to grow to 25 to 30% larger than either of the parents, becoming
massive beasts of the wilds. This kind of size growth usually comes upon
nearing maturity.

The Steam, The Churn, The Boil

Added Fri Mar 29 12:04:07 2013 at level 10:
The male steam, Vicereaa, finds himself in the hands of an ancient
druid north of Arkham city. There is where the male frost gave the child
before he departed. Vicereaa would not know his parents, but he would
know he is different.

The druid taught him basic combat, but could do nothing for him as
he embraced the martial, not the divine. He was stubborn, difficult, and
not easily trained. The druid knew nothing else but to make sure he
was healthy and well trained enough for the dangers of wilds. Upon
his day of Growth, the day he was considered a creature of the wilds,
the druid "released" the beast into the wilds itself. He was on his own.

Vicereaa took to the wilds like the beast he is. Brutal, harsh, and deadly
with no kind of remorse. Unlike his mother, he has fully embraced the
wilds he calls home. Stream giants are already looked down upon by
society so it is natural he takes up the mantle of the wilds. He firmly believes
that the Strong should survive, the weak should be destroyed. The fire
giant belief of the "One Law" still holds true to him. He is a beast and
has distain for those that live in cities. Seeing them weak, as masses
of huddled prey that should be culled. They are seen as cancer drawing
away from wilds where true strength is found.

Forging in the Fire and the Frost

Added Fri Mar 29 12:04:48 2013 at level 10:
Vicereaa has a religious side to him, born out of his mother's influence
upon him at birth. He is a follower of Lord Thror. A believer in that each
difficulty overcome forges him better and better to become stronger and
more powerful. He believes his birth as a steam giant is a sign of how
he is continually forging and reforging himself through his own body
heating and cooling. He was born under a the sign of Para-Elements,
specifically Steam. Vicereaa believes in his own way that being born
under this sign means he was born under both Fire and Ice, and thus
embraces truly what Lord Thror seeks, the elements and forces of the
Forge. Vicereaa understands this branch of Lord Thror's religion may
not be found to be true in the eyes of his Lord, but he follows this path
regardless. Hardship is part of this path.

So Vicereaa strives out into the wilds and faces his challenge head on.
Through that he will become the beast he seeks to be. A massive, larger
than life true living monster for all of civilization to fear.

Out of Character: Desires, Actions, Goals

Added Sat Mar 30 19:15:18 2013 at level 15:
Vicereaa is a monster of sorts, and that is what has been tried to be explained
through the above story. Through use of items and preparations, specifically
resistance equipment and enlarging magic of all kinds, he attempts to be what
has been described in "What is a Steam Giant?". I want to make clear that
the information in that was not some attempt to outline "bonuses" to be given
to the character. Instead there to explain his actions. And the timeline of age is
meant when the character can supply enough preparations and equipment to
replicate that. It is meant to be a crutch to continually use enlargement.

He seeks to be a monster of the Outlanders, specifically bent on the destruction
and reforging of the landscape. Utilizing his size and appearance to be a wrath
upon the land.

Furthermore, he seeks Lord Thror, although has chosen a sphere not specifically
of Thror, but more to denote his background, para-elements, Ice and Fire specifically.
It is understood nothing may come of this due to this choice, but that is the role
chosen, as part of the Hardship denoted in Thror's religion.

Other parts of the role will become more clear as he levels and additional pieces
are added.
