Description

You see before you a beautiful woman, long platinum blond hair peeks out from the white cowl. Gleaming eyes, so bright that white is the color that describes them best stare back at you with intense fervor. Small laughing-wrinkles makes you believe that it would be easy to make her smile or laugh, her otherwise smooth skin is of a porcelain complexion and a feeling of purity and serenity surround her. It is very hard to determine her age, she could be twenty years old or fifty years old, there is something odd about the way she looks. Her feminine form is garbed in white robes adorned with golden stars, exuding with light she moves with a combination of determination and grace, as you look further you see...

The transition from the warm and bright to the dark and cold was
overwhelming, gasping for air, the last Voralia saw before it went dark was a
bright light, blurred by icy waters. Moments, days, years, eons later,
Voralia was not sure, she saw the familiar face of Azuraphael, an archon. She
glanced around her and noticed that robed men and women were walking on all
of her sides through the streets of some city that resembled something that
she had seen somewhere at some time, they passed a huge cathedral when things
became black again. 

The feeling of soft grass touching her bare legs made Voralia close her eyes
briefly as she walked through the fields as the being beside her moved
silently. She opened her eyes again and turned towards the bright birdlike
deity walking next to her. 
"I was never a fighter my lord, I am nothing but a priest..." "Voralia," he
said gently. "You are a gentle soul, but your gentleness led to your demise
in your first life. I will not have you make that mistake again."
The deity stopped and turned towards her, reaching out a talon towards her,
gently touch her chest, immidiatly Voralia could sense a fire starting to
burn within her, a fierce power, only controlled by her strong sense of mercy
and compassion. "You have the full blessing of all of the light Voralia, go
and do what is needed to be done with all of our blessings" with that the
audience was over and she found herself next to Azuraphael again. "It is time
Voralia, the preparations have been done. The transition into mortaldom again
will affect your mind and memories. But I shall be waiting for you on the
other side."

Voralia opened her eyes, above her was Azuraphael standing looking into her
eyes. "Voralia, I have left you in the caring hands of Jolindar of Voralia.
They have let you into the guild of Paladins, train here, regain your memory
and strength. I have something that is needed to be done, but I shall return
to you to aid you in your recovery and training. Now rest my dear, rest, and
we will meet soon again." Voralia closed her eyes and fell asleep again.

Clouds under the sun

A lonely figure can be seen kneeling on the floor in what seems to be a
shrine, the woman is strangely alike the woman pictured on the windows of the
shrine. Quiet mumbling can be heard from the figure and the aura of light
surrounding her seem to be pulsating as she prays. 

Voralia sees herself as a beacon of light, a prophetess and a conduit for the
light to spread in Thera. She can however not let the thought of the archon
Azuraphael go, where did he go? Where has he been? Why have she not seen or
heard anything from him since he rescued her? 
She hopes for a conjurer within the fortress to reach the pinnacle of their
guild so that she through them perhaps can find out what happened. 

Two eager disciples has come to Voralia for guidance and support, Khalida and
Torm. They have both shown great potential and a firm belief in the light.
She has prayed to the light wishing for them both to be blessed as priests of
the light and with quite the pride has she witnessed their blessings. 
Torm who wishes to see Akan under the Spires protection and Khalida doing
her very best to spread Voralias word around Thera. 

Voralia has made quite a few friends, all of Thera seem to have some sort of
interest in her. She has become a good friend of a man named Theodarian
Davenport and his wife Lissandre Davenport, they have told her about their
daughter, Delilah Davenport and that they are worried about her. 
After meeting with their daughter Voralia can see their concern, their
daughter is possessed with great dark necromantic powers and lacks any
insight to what it actually means or is, not to forget that Delilah are but a
child, six or seven years old. 
After consulting many acolytes, scribes, heralds and even lady Baerinika
Voralia has decided to do anything in her power to bring redemption to
Delilah only to see that the child has come to age, and tries to actively
manipulate her surroundings just to have them killed, an expensive lesson to
be learned and Voralia blames herself for not taking action when the child
had less power, perhaps many lives could have been spared. 
This has made Voralia somewhat harsher in her view of who can be redeemed and
not.

Acolyte at war

A robed woman stands next to an altar, looking down the torch-lit hallway.
She seem to shudder slightly, something some might mistake for fear, but if
they saw the fire burning in the eyes, they would have to rethink that
thought. 
Down the hallway one can see a towering giant, shaved and shining of oils,
yet with a dark aura surrounding him, next to the giant is a smaller human,
but it is what stands behind the human that raises an eyebrow, a monstrous
bulk of crystal and clay towers next to him and next to it a six-armed demon
skulks around, uttering forbidden words making auras and shields appear
around the human. 
The whole time foreboding music can be heard, coming from the harp of the
third man standing in the hallway. 
Suddenly the woman raises her shield and sword, a white aura appears around
her just as she charges out towards the quintet. A fury of swords, shields,
arms, legs, magical missiles, the sounds of metal against metal and the sound
of shouting voices echoed through the hallway, and in the middle, this small
woman in her white robe stands with her sword and shield...
As the dust settles and the hallways become quiet, two bodies can be seen at
the feet of the woman, two humans, the devil and the elemental has vanished,
the giant Emperor is nowhere to be seen. 
The womans white robe is torn in a few places and it is now more red than
white, the woman kneels next to the corpses and mumbles a quiet prayer... For
now, the fortress is safe and the dark has been kept at bay.

Voralia has become a somewhat harder person than she once was. The world
might have been dark when she once lived, but that was nothing compared to
what is Thera today. There is not much rest or time for meditation between
the fighting and the wars take a heavy toll on the light. 
The suicides of Theodarian and his daughter Delilah has also weight heavy on
Voralias mind, in a sense she blames herself and believes that she should
have been able to brought them both back to the light. Occasionally she
becomes somewhat depressed over this, the war however keeps her mind busy
from this. She knows that they are both somewhere down in the inferno, and
she wishes to find them there, and try to redeem them both. If she only could
find a way down there that is. She has heard rumors about the Silent Tower
and the secrets it contains, she is certain that the tower contains the
information that she seeks, now just need to find a way to that place as
well.

A ray of light in all of this misery howver, is Khalida, one of Voralias
disciples. She has now joined the fortress as a Squire. Voralia has high
hopes for her diciples and sees a bright future for Khalida as a future
Maran. 
Torm has now become a magistrate of Voralia City, also this brings happiness
to Voralia and she hopes that he will soon take a leadership position within
the Spire so that he can push for the protection of Akan.

Motes of light

Motes of light sparkled in the air as Lady Voralia walked out on the narrow
ledge. On the ledge stood a godly creature, surrounded by an ethereal glow,
almost giving the appearance of a white flame surrounding him. Lady Voralia
gracefully curtseyed before the powerful being, her own white aura and
radiance paling next to the god standing before her. 
A worried looked covered Lady Voralias face as she begun to talk with the
lord of Archons, lord Corrlaan...

Voralia has finally gotten the meeting she was looking for with lord
Corrlaan, and it went far better than she had hoped. Lord Corrlaan promised
to set all of his emissaries about to look for Azuraphael, reassuring Voralia
that if Azuraphael was on this plane, they would find him. 
They also had a conversation about how Voralia had handled a problem with a
Squire called Golial. As Voralia has become more stern since her rebirth, she
clashed quite hard with Golial in their discussions which was the wrong
tactic to take against a dwarf, lord Corrlaan gave her sound advice on how to
handle those discussions in the future, and also aided Andira and Voralia in
having Golial to see the how close to the line that he walked, and a soul was
saved from crossing the line, something that Voralia was very happy with,
even though she had failed in saving it by herself. 

After the long conversation with lord Corrlaan, Voralia feels revitalized.
She has gained new strength and faith and is certain that the tide of the
darkness now will turn. Lord Corrlaan also said something that really stuck
with her "Sometimes as we age, we feel we have to try harder.". And this was
something that Voralia had felt, but now she knew that she just needed to
keep doing what her heart tells her to.
