Description
A slender dark-elf is here. He stands straight, bears the confidence of
youth, and moves with the grace of his ancestry. Long silvery hair is pulled
back into a tight pony tail by a leather knot. He has sharp features and
almond shaped eyes which glow a dull red. Much of his body is covered in dark
black leather armors, nearly as black as his smooth ebony skin. One gold
earring hangs from his pointed left ear. A tight loop that presses at the
skin. All about his person are implements of death. A sword, an axe, various
knives, and deadly looking daggers. No mark of emblem can been seen to
indicate which house of the dreaded Teth Azeleth he hails from.

Welvinyon

Once a scout for a minor house in Teth Azeleth, Welvinyon grew bored of
political scheming and felt it was all beneath him. He left the Underdark
behind and came to the surface to make a name for himself. Narcissistic to a
fault, he doesn't much care about anything if it doesn't involve his own
personal advancement. In general he wanders aimlessly. Searching, but not
really knowing what for.
The Over-Siders and Free Will
Added Thu Jul 26 10:26:33 2012 at level 43:
I've been on the over-side for years now. Most adhere to the same politicing
and kow towing as the fools below. I've made a few weak alliances and many
enemies, but most have avoided even speaking to me. Out of fear no doubt. One
can't blame them I suppose. I'd fear myself if I was a soft bellied over
sider as well.
The Imperials seem to think I should do what they say. A few I have traveled
with, but I've lost any taste for working beside them. It's as if they prefer
to be slaves than fight their own fight. What's more is they think to prevent
me from fighting MY fight. They can't stop me, but it is an annoyance to have
such arrogance even in the face of my grandeur.
The Tribunals are worse even than them. They protect the peace and calm of
the cities. But why? That only serves as a place for more foolish politics
and speaking as if one has some sort of purpose, empty pomp when one such as
me walks the outskirts. When all it takes is one wrong step and the cave
fisher descends upon them. Idly talking and exchanging coin is a good way to
find yourself at the wrong end of my spear. That's certain.
Both served their purpose in my goals. To learn more of the over side and to
gain strength. I regret that some of them advanced as well, but they are no
real threat. Not to me. I'll end them soon enough.
The Fortress and the Nexus? I still don't understand what they fight for, but
I know they make for some fine prey time to time. I'll continue killing them
where I can or making use of them when I feel like it.
apparently. That is a beast among over siders. The first I've encountered
with a back bone, strength, and the guts to inact his free will upon others.
A kindred spirit I'd bet. While most avoid speaking to me out of fear, he was
smart enough to recognize my prowess. He offered a branch if I would learn
more of Thar'Eris and told me a bit about it himself. It's an enticing idea
to say the least. Create a Utopia were no man or creature dare stand in the
way of my right to hunt and kill as I wish.
Give up my coin he says? Well, I suppose that is a fitting sacrifice when
one's goal becomes the end of civilization as we know it. Lofty goals, and
something just lofty enough to meet my standards. Maybe this is what I was
seeking? Surely they could not succeed without me. Maybe these Ancients were
the ones that drove me in my wanderlust to the over side? I don't care.
Either way, the dream of this Utopia is titilating. Maybe I haven't always
shared the same ideals as these outlaws, but I think they have the right of
it. Strip away the trappings that protect our prey and become gods among men.
Top of the food chain. The biggest, baddest cave fisher.
The Coin's Lure
Added Sun Jul 29 10:53:05 2012 at level 45:
Welvinyon pulls the spear from the throat of his latest victim. With a smirk
he wipes some blood from his face and revels for a moment in the pride of a
successful hunt. The adrenaline courses through his veins like fire burning
through pitch. It does little but sharpen his senses and instincts. He feels
alive as he had never before, the thrill of the kill is heightened when one
is close to the spirit of the Ancients.
A glimpse down at his hapless prey and he notices a pile of coin. Coin
spilled from the purse of the poor fool. Welvinyon's blood turns to ice as he
catches sight of a perfectly polished silver and his eyes take on a faraway
look. There within the coin is his own reflection. Slowly he raises a hand to
his face and wipes away yet more blood. Such perfection. His heart beat
becomes louder in his chest, a dull thump... thump... thump... that seems to
take over his hearing completely. He bends to pick up the coin and stares yet
closer at his own visage. As he brings the coin in close, he can tell the
image is imperfect, because of the coin's symbols and writing. Unworthy to
bear his likeness.
With a sudden jolt he comes back to his senses and looks around to make sure
he missed nothing while he was distracted. With a primal growl he throws the
coin to the ground and wills its energies to return to Thar-Eris. Nothing
more than a piece of trash to him now.
