Description
The blazingly orange eyes of this ebon-skinned creature
may be one of the most prominent features if you managed
to discard the giant frame twelve-foot frame with the bulging muscles.
The face is disfigured by a huge jagged scar that stretches
across it in a strange pattern. The long pitch-black hair
almost flows around the face as she moves, the coarse strands
somehow kept out of her eyes at all times.
An almost demonic scowl seems ingrained and rarely changes
with any action the creature performs.
Role
The Valkallyr heritage
Added Fri May 31 23:13:55 2013 at level 2:
The Valkallyr are an ancient breed of giant from the age when a
single race of giant roamed as a horde across Thera. Legend says
that savage, ancient magic rituals were used to produce Valkallyr,
savage giantesses that were known to be particularly brutal and
ruthless, existing as a pure paradigm of a particularly savage force.
These Valkallyr were born fullgrown, killing their mother as they
emerged into life.
When the gods began to exert their influence and morality, the First
Giants were set to slumber and reawakened from the volcanoes, seas,
glaciers, hills, and skies, each with their own attributes and strengths.
The ways of the Valkallyr were lost only as a thing of legend. None of
the giants, even those of Kiadana-Rah, would dare unearth the ancient
ritual, for it involved the sacrifice of their own kin.
The elders of Kiadana-Rah, however, recently uncovered this ritual to
create a Valkallyr of Destruction, which involved an extraordinarily
strong female and a sire with kings blood.
The birth and the sire
Added Fri May 31 23:14:33 2013 at level 2:
The Emperor Kraldinor was enlisted as sire, and a female chosen for
the necessary sacrifice. The exchange was made with the
promise that the Valkallyr would be oathbound to serve the Empire.
This I all learned from my mother, for I was near full-grown
in her womb as she lay bloated and dying from the horrific pregnancy
and the demonic ritual that aided my conception. She also told me
that she felt Kraldinor is a foolish and weak creature, detached from
the fire giant strength and in service to a weak and pathetic goddess.
I emerged, full-grown, filled with rage and bent upon destruction,
but my savagery is bound by the pact made on Kiadana that holds me to
become Bloodoathed.
The first goals
Added Fri May 31 23:16:19 2013 at level 2:
I am Valkallyr, pure and strong. I want only to destroy, and to raise up the
glory of the fire giant race. I am also pact bound by Kiadana to be in service
to the Empire, and so my impulse towards destruction is harnessed by Imperial
bonds, and so I will need to learn quickly to use the Empire towards my
destructive ends.
As the first order of business, I need to let Kraldinor, the weakling, know
that he has a daughter-heir and fulfill the oath to be bound by blood to the
empire. It is only him that can oath me now. And if he refuses, I must seek
out the dark gods in his place. I will not stoop down to a lowly recruiter.
As the second task, I would need to find and destroy the other fake Valkallyr
who are not worthy of the name or the dark ritual. A lowly storm cannot go
through with the ordeal and they are not true. Besides a miriad other reasons
for them to cease their existance, there is a pride in being true Valkallyr.
The true fire giant heritage must be made known to the world.
Growing appetite
Added Sun Jun 2 19:16:00 2013 at level 16:
As my desire for destruction grows, I cannot often contain myself
Without the bounds of an oath I've striken tribunals in town,
other with the tribunal and his special guards watching over him.
The sight of the flowing blood so pleases me that it will be hard
to resist spilling it. I just hope my weakling father provides me
some bounds soon so that I can become complete. This urge, unbound,
is almost a detriment to myself, albeit a very, very pleasant one.
And somehow, twistedly, being wanted by them, gaining a reckless
reputation, even at a young age, provides immense pleasure.
The Fire Valkyllar shall again be feared and known!
Imperial life
Added Thu Jun 6 18:32:52 2013 at level 22:
As me and my father stood over the just-slain village giant, the words
of the oath were spoken and the promise was complete. It made me suddenly
feeling much more whole and the nagging feeling went away. And so did
my madness, but not my anger. No, although I will bury it deep for now,
but that weak fool did not even name me the Imperial Lady, rather confining
me with a servant title. As if he does not realize that Valkallyr cannot be a
servant to anyone, much less those weaklings they call lords around Empire now.
Moreover, he made me collect money to stop being a lowly Oath.
He will pay for his mistakes, oh he will, with blood. Much blood.
The weakling
Added Fri Jun 7 23:20:04 2013 at level 23:
Unfortunately, my father could not be pursuaded to stop insisting
I praise his so-called goddess, a creature promoting weakness in him.
Very unfortunately, it seems to have taken a strong root within him.
After being ordered to praise her, I defied him, his goddess, and
confronted him personally about his weakness. Much to my chagrin,
it was true. He was too weak to even cast me out, instead choosing
to just hold me to my oath. At least, I am no longer known as a
servant to anyone and I do not have to give her any praise.
He will die or be deposed, I just hope I can grow strong enough
to drive an axe through his heart before he breathes the final breath.
Valkallyr has no fear
Added Sun Jun 30 22:22:37 2013 at level 32:
Those who promote me always demote. That must be a new trait in Empire.
First I defied my father, a weak fool, and called him as such.
He deemed it right to demote me to being an oath, which proved him weak.
Then I defied Merf, whom I also called weak and a fool. He proved to be
slightly stronger than my father, giving me Anathema. Which does not mean
that he is neither. In fact, he is truly both. They deserve each other.
I shall destroy them, which will be very convenient to do not bound by the oath.
Weaklings and fools should not rule the Empire. It should be great.
A greater power
Added Sat Aug 17 22:32:32 2013 at level 36:
A much better chance to feed the urge and to promote the glory of the Fire
race has arisen. The Dark Gods deemed it wise that I partake in the
dealings of the Chasm. The Chancellor wants to learn more about Valkallyr
and use my obvious strong and unique roots to his advantage.
This promotes both of us to more power and will help me understand
more about dark arts and perhaps more about my heritage along the way.
I just hope to be able to perform the Ritual of Valkallyr without
needing the weak kings or divine involvement if at all possible.
The Valkallyr shall bring terror and destruction unto the lands!
