Yahkira Venomblood the Bloodletter, Chancellor of Eternal Night

Role

Yakhira was born to explorer parents. They went missing early in her life,
and she was put in the care of an orphanage. There, she was taught that her
old ways of being free was wrong and she needs to conform to societal norms
of relying on a partner has trauma and resentment due to it.


Her soul had since been corrupted by a demon who had used her mother to latch
on to Yahkira, with an intention to use her as a vessel to enter the Prime.
Influenced by the demon, her happy go lucky nature is corrupted by bouts of
hate, rage, violence, and the chaos of the Abyss. As she struggled to fit in
after being put in the orphanage, she was often feeling very down. Her peers
did not help her - some even made fun of her. She eventually snapped and
killed one of the other orphans, Jackson.


She seeks to be a great Planewalker to find her parents. Exploration and
Adventure is in her blood, and she sees Magic as a way of life - a way to
push through all limits of the world - for this world is but part of one of
many Planes. To this end, she calls upon help from the other planes, to bring
their own prowess and join her party of adventure. While she enjoys the
company of friends, she struggles, perhaps due to her past and current
demons, to form lasting relationships with others due to lack of trust, and
she prefers to charm and bind others with magic.


Due to the demonic influence, she has been set on a path to fulfil its agenda.

Yahkira seeks power. Knowledge is Power. Knowledge is Magic. She wishes to
learn as much as she can and gain as much power so she can be a master of the
Planes. She wishes to call upon more friends to go on adventures with.  Seeks
to explore much of the Prime, in preparation of her future planeswalking.
Influenced by her demonic familiar, she is also nudged to create a murderous
reputation for herself, knowing that this will allow her to more strongly
bind minions of the abyss and inferno.


Ssrathura the viper is a manifestation of an extraplanar demon, but in a very
weakened state. Ssrathura seeks to grow in power, but so far only influences
her heart and soul. Needing to feed, it influences her to call on extraplanar
minions to serve her, and nudges her to engage in bloodshed. Everytime she
calls extraplanar servitors, the Ssrathura takes the opportunity to attach to
them and feeds on their essence.


Yahkira does not care much about the politics of the land. Loves magic as it
brings boundless possibilities.


May eventually seek scions as another means to enjoy exploring, or Empire, as
they provide some sort of 'binding' of the souls through the bloodoath.

Chaos. Mayhem. This is the plane we inhabit. They call it the abyss, meaning
bottomless. True to its nature, it has no bottom. It has no limits. The
layers of this plane is limited by how far one is willing and able to delve,
until such time loses the willpower or loses his or her life. The planar
archivists would call the inhabitants of the abyss, demons. But such
nomenclature provides little insight to what we really are, for we are sorole + varied, so unique in each of our ways, that to refer to us as a demon says
nothing but refer to our planar origin. Even then, some of us are not native
to the planes. Ever so often, beings from other planes enter the Abyss,
conquering an existing layer or even creating a new layer. It is not uncommon
for existing layers collapse, and new layers to be formed. Tales of 'demons'
leaving the Abyss are not uncommon, and their fate varies from conquering
other planes or being smited into ashes.


The number of demonic races that exist in the Abyss, and in other planes, are
infinite as well. Races are moulded by their layers, and only the fittest
survive. The more persistent races conquer many layers, such that a
destruction of one layer will never fully cause their extinction. The truly
superior races conquer layers, fortify them, and expand their reach beyond
the Abyss, and are known in multiple planes.


The Abyss itself is not our own existential issue. In our conquest of layers
and other planes, a major fortification is created by anchoring portals to
other planes, and it is these portals that the denizens of other planes seek
to destroy in an attempt to keep us out. The planar war for existence is
fought on many fronts and battlefields, and the more zealous extraplanar
races do bring the battle to the Abyss, but most surely at the expense at
their own lives.

Srrathara, one of the many layers conquered by tribes of serpentine demons,
more commonly known as the Harmentia. Yet there are many sub-races of
Harmentia, and many castes, all fighting to dominate in a struggle for
existence. As with all things in the Abyss, my tribe of Srrathara was
eventually brought to the forefront of the interplanar battlefield, as those
tethered to the other planes collapsed in the endless war. We were not
unique, and soon enough, it had collapsed, its denizens slain by the victors,
erased in the collapse, or fleeing into the other layers or planes.


I was one of those survivors. I fled into the another layer at first, but was
greeted with hostility. Weakened from the battle and fleeing, I fled even
further, until my power waned, and my form regressing into a fraction of what
it once was. Survival is of utmost importance, and regression is not always
entirely bad. I was regarded as less threatening, and managed to pass myself
off as a minion unworthy of attention. When threatened, I slithered into
corners of the land where I would not be hunted. There, I channeled my
remaining powers into a vessel, to be retrieved at a later location. 

The dynamic duo. Explorers of the Planes. We were known by many monikers,
celebrating our spoils in exploration. We were compared to Khardrath, Avello,
and many more notable Planewalkers. Our adventures yielded us bountiful loot,
but most importantly tales of splendour that would be passed on forever. We
had documented many planes, and theories regarding the worlds. This life
slowed down when we welcomed a new member to our family. She was the cutest
thing ever. Our work on the planes took a turn towards teaching and guiding,
as we agreed to take a pause on our daredevil feats until Yahkira could hold
her own and be independent. We would go Planeswalking now and then for short
periods, leaving her in the care of our friends. 

"Help! Dasura! Ynorkeus! Our friends are missing! They have not come back
since they left through the portal to the azure fields!"


We were summoned to assist our friends who were facing difficulty while
Planeswalking. Without much details, we tessaracted to their location. After
all, the Azure fields were a pretty safe place. They were likely just lost
and late for dinner. When we materialised, we immediately realised it was a
mistake. This was not the Azure Fields. Chaos lashed out at us, and the
instability of the Plane was palpable. This was the Abyss. And this layer of
it was about to collapse. We had to open a portal quickly. Using all of our
energy, we succeeded in opening a portal to send everyone home. As the portal
masters, we had to usher everyone in first, for it would close once we were
not there to anchor it. As the last person enterred the portal, we too
stepped in. Suddenly, a surge of pure chaos lashed at us, throwing us away
from our portal. My dear Ynorkeus was impaled on a rock. That was the last I
saw of him as my consciousness faded.

Another day, another collapsing layer. Nothing unusual we have here in the
Abyss. Oh? What do we have here? Beings from... The Prime? To what do we owe
this visit? Made a portal I see. Perhaps you took a wrong turn? One, two,
thre, four, five... So many. Oh you're leaving so soon? You do look like you
know what you're doing... I better just hide and watch. Your magical auras
must be quite formidable to open a portal here in these conditions...
Although they do seem quite spent too. Last two. Oh! Watch out! Ewww... There
goes that one, I best drain him before he gasps his last breath. I guess
today is my lucky day.

Mmm... Tasty. Lets bring the other one into another layer for later.

I guess I'll just use her as an energy source... until shes full drained. She
is a powerful mage. Lucky she was weakened to begin with. With this set up
she will never regain her strength. I wonder though...how she would taste.
Let me try...

Gah! What in the Abyss?! This woman has traces of Elysium in her? She is
worthless. Good thing she's weakened - she'll probably vaporise me if she was
at her full strength. Ouch. That was a bad idea. Now my blood stings. I cant
feast on her in my current state. No matter, the Abyss will purge whatever
garbage from this vessel soon enough. Devilry shit. Now it flows in me too.
It burns! What is this I feel. Visions. A child. In the Prime. We are now
tethered. Perhaps this is my ticket to the Prime. My luck has truly turned. I
will slowly corrupt her soul, and use her as a vessel to enter the Prime and
set up a stronghold there.

I awoke in a dark cave, chained by chaotic energy. Two amber eyes stared out
at me from the darkness. I could feel that my chains were draining me of
energy. I was helpless. I felt a sharp pain as something sunk its teeth into
me. It instantly let go, repelled, perhaps, by the angelic blood that ran in
me. Yet, was this truly a blessing? I continued to wait and suffer in the
cave of chaos, unable to live, and unable to die.

It has been weeks since you left. Jerry and John said you were just behind
them. I hope you are doing fine.

me ugly and tanned and un-ladylike. Why do we have to wear skirts and curtsey
and have long hair? It is such a burden! I much prefer being free to do as I

It has been a year. I have been put up at an orphanage. Jerry and John say
they are not able to take care of me. The teacher at the orphanage keeps
saying I must be a good lady and learn how to serve my man. I don't want to
serve no man! I want to be like Mommy! Running around and being the best! The
orphanage children laugh at me all the time, when I say you will come back.

I wont wait here anymore. The children made fun of me. I hate them. I stabbed
Jackson for making fun of me. Again and again. Until he was lifeless. I felt
good. I left the Orphanage. I ran. As far as I can. Until I reached another
city. They call it Galadon.

Goodbye.

Perhaps one day I will find my parents. But for now, I have entered the
Academy and enrolled in the Guild of Conjuring. I will be a great
Planeswalker. Life is great. I do miss my parents though. Yet something in me
is brewing. When I think of them, I feel Anger. Rage. Hate. I am a strong
independent woman. I will do as I please. Nobody will tell me what to do!

Ahh! What? What is this force tearing at me..? Gah! Ugh. Its dark. What is
this place? *Slithers around* Oh. It's her. Wait what? Why am I here? Wait
wait. Why am I even weaker here? Wait. Did she do this? Does she know? Is she
going to kill...?
"Ahhh. Look at my very own familiar!" She cuddled me in her
arms. Warmth. Wait what. Did she say familiar? This is a joke right? I did
want to come to the Prime, but not like this? Why have I degenerated into
this form? I cannot even reach my reservoir of power I set aside. Well, plans
always change. I guess this is just a slight obstacle. We'll guide her back
into the Abyss and possess her there. 

I meditated as I projected my consciousness, enterring a different dimension.
A place of chaos. Papa, mama, creating a portal. A surge of energy lashed at
me, as I was banished from that plane. They must be still alive. As I
rejoined my body, I turned to Ssrathura. Maybe it was always there, but and I
did not notice, but I felt a familiar presence. Papa? Mama? Was it because I
am now more attuned to the magical auras of others? Did they send Ssrathura
to me? Is there a message? I do not know. I must do more divination, perhaps
they have been sending me messages all the while! I held Ssrathura close to
me, its cold, leathery hide somehow providing me with warmth. What an
adventure of projection. 

It seems that the blood can be a catalyst to opening better portals to inner
and outer planes. Ssrathura's bite also seems to assist where it comes to the
outer plane of the abyss, and I have implemented the use of blood in opening
portals to these planes. It further buttresses the hypothesis that Papa and
Mama intended Ssrathura to meet with me. As I call in the denizens, I must
feed them as well, and how else to feed my servitors than with the blood of
others? 
Perhaps further investigation and use of blood will allow me to
create more stable portals allowing inter planar travel, instead of just
allowing one way traffic into the Prime.

Only those of pure adventure have heard of the mystic campfire where the
intrepid gather. It is there that I will seek the like-minded, and be able to
share and learn more of the planes. Blood magic shall be my profession, and
through that the secrets of the planes shall be revealed to me, and I will be
able not only to find Papa and Mama, but bring the adventure to the most
outer of planes. In the meantime, the magic requires sustenance, and I will
continue to do what is necessary to sustain the blood magic.

It seems I have set this one on a path of my liking, as she has started to
dabble in the use of blood and of course, my venom. As I feed on the essences
of the beings she brings forth, I inject my own into this vessel, who willing
accepts it, thinking it brings her more power. She is not wrong, but as she
delves deeper into these magics, all it will do is make it prepare her as a
vessel for my coming. The results are already visible, as the magics slither
and squirm around and under her flesh.

It has been weeks, if not months, since I found the campfire of adventure.
Yet my prayers remain unanswered. That does not mean I do not adventure, for
the intrepid are not held back by the lack of companions.  In fact, it is the
boldest that push boundaries alone, for the normal seek comfort in the
mundane and routine. But yet I am not alone! Through opening of the portals,
I call forth... others to help me! And we form a band of adventurers too!
From elementals to demons, to even angels, although not all of them are the
most friendly. Binding them with blood seems to work to some degree, and I
will seek other greater magics to form more formidable teams. To this end, I
found a secret coven, focusing on yet another plane - that of the Shadow. I
have had the opportunity to engage with Decrasus, a Greedy Apostle of the
Night. These Scions of the Eternal Night, as they are known as, have a
treasure trove of information and magic. I shall pledge myself to their
cause, and use this opportunity to further delve into their secrets.

Tales of venom and blood fill the taverns, as one who practices using blood
in the calling of the foulest demons of the abyss gains notoriety. With a
penchant of bring forth venomous denizens, the putrid smell of her practices
serves as a warning, for it is told that the spilling of fresh blood swiftly
follows. 

With her murderous reputation, she has descended down the path of Vice.
Perfect, to become my vessel. As she grows with power, I too have injected my
essence into her body, allowing her to tap on it to harness the power of the
Planes. In doing so, I have been able to siphon more power with a great
return on my investment. Even my material form in the Prime has been
strengthened, being able to deal more deadly blows, and withstand them as
well. Perhaps in time, I will even be able to assume more demonic
capabilities in the Prime, while waiting for this one to be ready as a
vessel. She has leanings towards the Ccul'gra, beings of shadow. Of course,
if they were to strengthen her, it would aid in my cause. I am no fool - the
Ccul'gra are wretched beings, hated even by the demons.They could have
noticed my influence on my vessel by now, and are still biding their time on
whether to establish an alliance with her. They are intelligent beings, and
for sure they know that they will be able to make use of her as well. The
conquest of the Prime is a race that all partake in, and I welcome the
rivalry.

It seems the Archmage and the Gods have given me a task, to show my worth as
one who bargains with the Planes.


I was to persuade one of the Fortress to willingly me give me something of
value. The task was not easy, but I have completed it, more than once, as a
personal challenge.

I have fought many battles with the Righteous Registrar, Thaldrak, but none
have resulted in a fatal blow. In our latest battle, the Registrar had torn
my shield from my hand, and I made a tactical retreat.

Knowing the value of my shield, the Registrar was inclined to use it to bait
me into battle. He placed it in the open, only to take the opportunity to
strike at me when I came to retrieve it. An ill-conceived plan, for I swiftly
accepted his gift, and continued to do battle with the Righteous.

It is not the only gift I have received from the fortress. I had enlisted the
help of Triszan, an azuretouched of the fortress. A zealot, of the Iron
Legion. Ah, what privilege he has had to have essence of the planes within
him, although, the thought of Elysia does seem revolting. Perhaps within him
is the key to corrupting that Plane. Nevertheless, I appealed to his more
naive side, appearing in need of some food, and convinced him to provide me a
bread, communed using the power of his Lord.

I have gone further, to negotiate with Jerlan, a dwarven berserker of the
village of battleragers. Capitalising on his alcoholism, I had obtained a
bottle of ale from him, only to augment its strength with the venom of
Ssrathura. I had even convinced him to taste it, and to his delight, he had
found the extra ingredients to his liking.


I now seek the Gods of the Night, as instructed by the Archmage.

I watched as darkness enveloped her, her blood twisting under the influence
of the shadows. I slithered away as it reached out to me. As she emerged from
the darkness, she opened her palm, causing the darkness to explode across the
room, before returning to her as she clenched her fist tightly. I was unable
to dodge this display, and was inevitably touched by the darkness. The power
of the Scepter in the Prime was palpable. I was correct in influencing her
down this path of blood, venom and shadow. As she drew on the power of the
Scepter, I too felt growth in mine. Perhaps soon I will be assuming a higher
authority over this vessel.

The days are long, but the years are short. In a blink of an eye, my physical
body is now of old age. With such age comes wisdom, and of course, physical
tiredness. I understand why those with a mission tend to seek out
immortality, for time is never on our side. I have travelled to the inner
planes, to the Shadow, but I have never once found my parents. But in these
years I have found other more interesting endeavours. The power of the Shadow
courses through my veins, and my research on Blood magic persists. Perhaps it
is what the Shadow seeks. Those bloodless beings. Perhaps the power to
achieve their objective lays in blood of the Prime. If that is so, then this
blood they will never get. My research will forever be my bargaining chip
against them - for while I am an Archmage, I do recognise their power to
squelch a mere mortal life.

In my old age, energy currency. I've learnt that there are perhaps easier,
more efficient methods to my research. To this end, I have partnered with a
herald, Tamurah, to run a blood donation drive. So far, it has proved quite
useful. While I do not hanker for attention or love, it has made some
adventurers more amenable to me, all while voluntarily providing their blood
for research. "Save a life", I tell them. Cloak your intentions with nobility
and altruism, and one will easily pull wool over the eyes of that population.
The population that wants to be deceived.

Perhaps it is a tad too late for me to pursue any form of immortality. Most
Archmages spend their entire lives only to fail. But I am no mere Archmage.
Yet I do recognise the odds against me. I must have priorities, and
contingencies. This researcher of animancy, Sumae, seems to be worthy of
note. She has potential to be taught, and perhaps one day, notes of my
research shall be hers to inherit.

I have much to learn. Whispers in the taverns think of me as the Chancellor,
much like how they assumed I was a Scholar that preferred not to call on the
Ccul'gra, long before I gained access to the Scepter. Growing in power within
the Chasm would be welcomed, but it is not something that I actively covet. I
do see the benefits of skulking the lands without that title. For all intents
and purposes, I already see myself fulfilling the role of the Chancellor -
defending the research, bargaining with the Ccul'gra, seeking out new and
worthy scholars, and even opening the eyes of our enemies and perhaps
subverting them against their own cause. We must keep all of these people
busy, feeling good about themselves, so that our research may continue in
peace. 

Blood. Something I have been collecting. The secrets they hold. The power to
augment mana itself. But somehow, something has been lacking. I do notice
their effectiveness wanes as they age, perhaps something to do with their
freshness. But what if... the blood was of the still-living? What if, blood
is most powerful, if it were still within its host? Or within... *a* host? Is
this how the Vampyre Lords are born? Is this why the hold so much power?

I set forth to test this hypothesis, with none other, than my own blood.
Using the apparatus from the Planar Sanctum, I had made minor...
adulterations to them, allowing my blood to flow in and out of it, much like
a process of... transfusion. As my blood circulated out of my body, and back
into it, I felt raw power surge through my body. Yet at the same time, I
observed that the runic energies of the apparatus controlling access to the
planes pulsate through its pipes. How was it possible, that both myself, and
the apparatus were surging with power? Yes, power, was being created from
nothing. Drawn from another plane, perhaps. Yes. This was.. Magic.

I knew what I must do. I must recruit those with the most powerful of blood.
And with their live blood, flowing in and out of magical apparati - that
would create the most powerful magic. To do that, I will become the
Chancellor. I must. 

The role of devices have a very understated role in Thera. With the
assistance of an Artificer, I have managed to strike a deal. His life, for an
endless supply of devices I may use to augment armors and weapons alike.
These devices will be spread far and wide, on great armors where the greed of
adventurers will proliferate them. Once worn, these armors will slowly
infiltrate their blood and minds, awaiting an activation from myself. I could
limit myself to the strength of mages, but I could also use the strength
of... the entire world. And with their blood, I will call worth the greatest
of all Magic.

Start them young, they say. The young ones are the most susceptible. Their
naivity and eagerness to prove their worth, makes them hanker over these
material goods. Even those old are not immune to this, but perhaps require a
bit more convincing. I had allowed myself to be slain by two Maran, only for
them to strip my corpse, and wear the tampered armors themselves. They too,
have become part of the Grand Plan.

And so the Shadows responded, blessing the cursing us both at the same time.
Nelfykh and myself, the Advisor, and the Chancellor. The veil had been
lifted. We, have always been part of the prophecy. We have always been, the
chosen ones.

With greater access to the Scepter, I was able to delve deeper into the outer
planes. Guided by Ssrathura, I finally reached the Abyss. As theorised, the
Abyss was a strange plane, made of chaotic layers in a constant flux of
creation and destruction. As I wandered with caution, I was drawn towards a
familial energy. As I entered the cave-like structure, I saw my mother on the
ground, in a catatonic state. I tried to rouse her, but it was clear she way
past redemption. What a pity. This woman, who had caused me such grief and
pain in my early life. I would not be able to extract my revenge on her.
Killing her now would be showing her mercy. But wait, perhaps, there could be
a better way... I thrust my arm into her abdomen, willing her blood into my
body. Ahhh, there is some.... residual power here. This is how she managed to
get this far. I suppose this is how she will live out the rest of her days.
Or rather spend them. Blending this blood and processing it through
Ssrathura.... would yield quite desirable results, I feel. I turned to
Ssrathura, which seemed to recoil in fear. I willed him to sink his fangs
into my mother, and watched him writhe in agony as her celestial blood pulsed
through him. He did his job well, and I was able to extract and process a
good sample. I left her in her comatose state. I may be back for more. She is
a good resource.

As I returned to the Prime, I set out the ritual to use the sample. Ah. What
power. My circles of magic were palpably stronger. As I called forth a demon
from the abyss, a greater demon I've never seen before stepped forth, easily
bound by my magic. I must definitely return to obtain more of her blood. 

The possibilities of my mother's blood is endless. From calling forth greater
servitors to preserving my youth, it even allows me greater strength in this
aging mortal body that requires frequent tending to. In my experiments to
preserve my mortal body, I have even managed to strengthen my form to that of
a male! As the magic took its hold and surged through me, I seized, my
muscles twitching with newfound strength. I felt a bulge forcing itself out
between my legs, perhaps as if, this was what it was like to give birth? Yet
there was no such pain associated with this feeling, but in its absence was 
a pleasure I had never felt before. As the pleasure peaked, I could not help
but release a cry of ecstacy, as I felt a dampness take over in my loins. As
I recovered, I gazed into them, and found an interesting male appendage.

This blasted woman. I thought I had set a great trap for her in the Abyss.
Who would have known that the power she draws from the Scepter subdued my
demonic ones. Instead she shoved that disgusting celestial blood into my
being, and took joy watching me 'purify' the blood. What is worst is that she
never killed the celestial. She would continue to revisit her and indulge in
this torturous process. While I never got used to the pain, it seems that
there is at least something to be gained from this. From the extraction
process I was able to siphon a little power, and grew in strength in the
Prime, taking on a new serpentine form of a yellow lancehead. Perhaps soon I
will be able to assume my true power.
