Description

Will the built of a frail human, your eyes come across this forest minstrel dressed in cloaks of fur and feather which are a pleasing mix of greens and browns. The winds brush him long greyish-silver hair onto his face from time to time to reveal his soft and pale features. Her almond shaped eyes are immitably brown as redwood bark in color and her fragile lips are a shade of the everclear moon on a cloudless night and cheeks dim white as a snow-laden peak. Upon her shoulders is strapped a travellers rucksack that reveals its ingredients with a strong smell of liquor and herbs. Long pointy fingers wrap themselves neatly around a wooden harp with strings made from the mane of a unicorn and a silver sword with sparks of lightning occupies the other. A girth around her waist gives shape to his dull and gangling physique. Fur shaped into boots cover her feet upto the knees, caked with dust and blood - the tell tale sings of a traveller. Upon her torso you notice embossed with the armor the mark of a purple lotus with an engraving within each petal that is rather hard to discern. Though feminine in appearance, certain features of this minstrel seem to be rather manly, including his rather falsetto-ish voice. Shrugging it off after many close looks you decide to not care a hoot. A closer look at her reveals that...

There is a place to which I often go,
Not by planning to, but by a flow
Away from all existence, to a cold
Lucidity, whose will is uncontrolled.
Here, the mills of God are never slow.

The landscape in its geological prime
Dissolves to show its quintessential slime.
A million stars are blotted out. I think
Of each historic passion as a blink
That happened to the sad eye of Time.

But residues of meaning still remain,
As darkest myths meander through the pain
Towards a final formula of light.
I, too, reject this clarity of sight.
What cannot be explained, do not explain.

The mundane language of the senses sings
Its own interpretations. Common things
Become, by virtue of their commonness,
An argument against their nakedness
That dies of cold to find the truth it brings.

Bink.

De-tale

Nature they say has a way of balancing itself. A lesson learnt at a young
age for any elf of the woods. Specially a handsome one. But for Yrillbink
there was much more to realize than to learn. Sometimes the experience of
action is far more oblivious, and thus eased, than that of ersatz wisdom
acquired by words of sages (who mostly have borrowed it from other sages).

To Yrillbink, the balance of the World was something that 'had' to be
maintained, for to those in great power comes death (in shamefully gruesome
ways) but to those in power comes stagnancy, overconfidence and most of
all.... boredom.

Men to reach the summit in their lives struggle, but once they reach there
they can only gather the moss of pride while atop and tumble (eventually)
downhill, for that is the only place left to go.

Yrillbink learnt soon that balance was but a burden to bear, much better
borne with a smug, grin and smirk than a long face that would put the
ugliest of stallions to shame. There question was how must one travel the
path that keeps them best at peace with the enormous task at hand.

To Yrillbink the best way was pretence as a oblivious da-da dust bunny
whom the world took for granted to be the prattlin' fool who said more
than could be heard and knew less than his own silences. For it is in the
midst of the deaf that conspiracies are wilfully uttered without knockin'
on ears to check their bluntness.

... to be continued.

In Hard Times, Breast it Off.

It was just another rainy day in a dingy bar, drinks for drunks and winks for
waitresses. I, like always, stayed much after the bar was shut and everyone
was asleep. Not because I could drink so much, moreso because I had never
any coin. So Xilia came up to me and say 'Hey!'. And then... wait! What she
said is none of your buisness. Point is... So yeah, she said 'Want grapes?'

Trying to disassociate myself from the lazy rug I am I though maybe I could
brew my own wine. So I took them red grapes and ate them (cause once stuff
goes inside your tummy you can leave the brewing to nature).

I felt little tingle in my manhood. I was a little surprised. I'm too vain
and pretty to fall in love with Xilia, a gnome. I thought it must be all
the liquids... So I decide to head out behind the bar and you know...
Get rid of the liquids.

I reached up behind some bushes, squatted and after my watering the grass
deed was done, I stood back up again and .... ACK!
It was gone! My manhood. My lo... ahem. It was gone! How would the ladies
react, where would I earn my coin, how could I relax, HOW WOULD BALANCED
BE SERVED! Actually there are lots of answers to that, but they are rhetoric
questions so SUSHSSSHHH!

Now I wonder and wander in search of my CHUB CHUBS and my MANHOOD! Men with
hoods stare at my breasts, fiery as they are, but I cannot live with them
forever! They must be chop chop and replaced with chub chub!

The Absurdist

So you want to hear my story, eh? MY story? My STORY? Well, sure..
There is so much to tell that I would require a thousand nights to be
silent to accomplish the tales of my life. Specially the one when I was
chasing a whole village of orcs (depending on the angle you saw it at, it
might seem that they were chasing me.)
So well, yes my story. You wanted to know it? Didn't you? You must be
either limbless or jobless to hear it but I guess since you are here you
desire to. Why else would you be here?

So yes, go on... tell me all about yourself.
What? Oh, yeah. My story.
Rumour has it that I was born (I'm not good with beginnings.) to a bunch
of root eating, sap drinking, fruit plucking -insert other general cliched
forest elf synonyms here- parents. They were like most parents are.
Always drunk on herbal wines, chasing me around with wooden daggers if I
came home filthy, penny-less, could not cook or stand meat and sometimes
woke up in the city street naked. I thus had a pretty decent and normal
childhood sitting all alone by the brook contemplating life's mysteries
and thinking to myself about what my future holds...

All the pondering and contemplating made me so wise that I began to
think other wise. In a sense that I sensed no sense in sense. Or sense
in non-sense if you may say. Why? Because the river Kahlid flows past
Hamsah and if you don't believe me you can ask Lord Kidanah.
