Description
Tall for a human but only average for his people, Yuyuya stands only halfway
seven feet. His skin is somewhat darker than usual, though still considered
fair among humans. The brown hair is cropped short, and barely reaches down
to the eybrows covering his piercing blue eyes. The shoulders seem tapered
though not lacking in strength. Still, it is more a wiry, lanky body that
you see. About the body is strapped a variety of weapons, with a few bits
here and there to carry provisions, outdoor supplies, various odds and ends.
Beneath the clothing you see nothing but the movements are quick and sure,
even graceful. A faint scent lingers near him, but you can't place it.

Long long ago, when the elves split and those that would become the wood-elves
left the high elves, a small community of them set themselves apart. All the reasons
that they had left remained true, but unlike the majority of the soon-to-be wood elves,
this splinter group was far more agressive in its animosity toward magic. Indeed,
the general distate of civilization and works of men were secondary, for, is it not true
that only with magic have these great kingdoms and cities been raised? Without magic,
without this power to do things no mortal is meant to do, thera would be populated only
by small towns, villages, living off the land as all were meant to.
Yuyuya is a child of that community. He has been raised to find an end to magic
among mortals. Every generation sends a few of their youths who prove themselves worthy
out among the world, and he is one, schooled in the arts of the warrior.
Why a warrior and not a healer/defender

Having been asked by two different villagers now about the defender path,
Yuyuya is reminded of his shame. He cannot be a defender. If he were able, he would
not be here in the first place. His people are naturally inclined to tend, to nurture,
to heal. Like all other children he was introduced to this early on. But he failed.
Miserably. Which is why he was then put, like the few other failures, into
the warrior training. It is not something desired by any, or at least most, of his
people. Respected, yes. Understood as necessary, sure. But it is what one does if
one cannot do the natural thing, which is create life and enhance it.
Unless incredibly pressed, and even then with great difficulty, Yuyuya will not discuss
this part of his past. At least not until great trust is felt with whoever asks, or
of course if someone far above him such as a god requires. But he would do almost
anything to avoid that recitation.
