Description

A fiery youthful look flourishes this vigorous Elf. Carrying himself with a distinguished composure, as a proud Elf might. Though his eyes give you the reflection of a thousand trials, both good and bad, he looks about with a renewed and curious gleam. While still able to reveal many of his warrior traits, what with all the various daggers and fine weapons carried, he looks a bit more cleaned up than most others of the guild. Short, well-groomed spiky white hair covers his head thickly. Several of the short spikes hang down over his forehead neatly, as if they were placed a certain way.

Role

Background

Added Fri Mar 30 00:18:18 2007 at level 33:
Yvalthras grew up in Darsylon as an only child with
his parents. His father worked full-time to provide
for the family, and his mother stayed at home to
take care of him. The family wasn't rich, but they
were fairly well off. They had nice home furnishings,
comfortable clothes, were well educated, and had
dinner on the table every night.

Having no brothers or sisters, and constantly living
in the shadow of his parents, it would almost be
automatic to think Yvalthras was a spoiled child.
But this truly wasn't the case for this young Elven
man. He has always had a light-hearted spirit, and
generally had a good attitude and a worldly wisdom
beyond his years.

There would come a time when Yvalthras would have
to step from the figurative shadow of his parents,
and leave the nest. From a parent's perspective,
the time when their child leaves always seems to
come too soon. The case was no different for this
young Elf, searching to become a man.

His father disagreed completely with his decision
to run off and join the Warrior's guild. But he had
already made up his mind, and there was no talking
him out of it. Yvalthras was growing up so quickly,
and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it.

Growing up, Yvalthras was never one of the athletic
kids. He was never as strong, or as quick, or really
even as smart. He was really quite ordinary in just
about every respect. But he did have a tremendous
amount of common sense and very collected thoughts.
All of these things which seemed to work against him
growing up would later become his driving force--his
personal motivation.

Last Conversation

Yvalthras' father strongly disagreed with his
decision to join the Warrior guild. After a heated
conversation between the two, they haven't spoke
since. His father told him he would never support
his decision, and that he basically disowned his
only son.

Yvalthras: Father! Please listen to me!
Father: It is foolish to listen to someone who
- will not listen to you.
Yvalthras: You don't understand--
Father: What I understand is you wanting to
- recklessly risk your life, and for what?!
Yvalthras: It isn't like that father. This is
- something that I have to do. I have to do this
- for myself, to prove to myself that I can do it.
Father: But why? Why the Warrior's guild?
Yvalthras: I feel it in my blood, and in my bones
- father. It is the path I must take in search of
- manhood. I want to be able to go to sleep at
- night and know that I've helped to make a
- difference for the better. That all the bad
- things in life would fade away, if even only
- just for a moment.
Father: Why must you defy the wishes of your
- mother and father?
Yvalthras: This is what I was meant to do, father.
- I will go with or without your blessings.
Father: I cannot give my blessings for such a
- foolish cause.
Yvalthras: I am sorry you feel the way that you
- do father. Maybe someday you will understand
- what it is I wish to accomplish.

Yvalthras walked out of the house for the last time
with his head down and his eyes filled with tears.
Without stopped or looking back, he simply said
"Good-bye". Yvalthras left without his father's
blessing, and the two have not spoken since.

The Warrior's Guild

Added Fri Mar 30 00:30:48 2007 at level 33:
As time passed by, Yvalthras kept plugging away at
the regimen, and he is actually beginning to mold
his mind and body into the man he dreamt of becoming.
His current success is a product of his unwavering
determination and hard work. But the lesson which
sticks most with him, is that with his growing
strength comes greater responsibility.

The burden of responsibility is something Yvalthras
wants to shoulder. As a testament to his maturity,
he has taken on the responsibilities of a magistrate
of the Blood Tribunal. Still considered the new guy
on their roster, he is learning very quickly what
is expected of him. This is also a place where he
feels he can make a greater impact for the betterment
of the cities and its citizens safety.

Even with all of the success YValthras seems to be
having, he feels there is still a void which has yet
to be filled. Growing up, he was not influenced much,
if at all, by religion and spirituality. After he
met several different people with strong religious
backgrounds, and learned how it has helped to make
them stronger people, he has begun to educate himself
more in the ways of enlightenment and worship.
