Description

A wild mane of silver white hair stands out in stark contrast in comparison to the murky black skin of this human with dark-elf blood. His amber eyes slant slightly upwards at the outer edges and seem similar to those of the great cats. Standing just over six feet in height and weighing just under two hundred pounds, this half-drow is appears to be in good physical shape. The appearance of his clothes shows that he spends much of his time in the wilds. Leaves, grass, dirt and an unbathed appearance further support this fact. A silver tattoo is on his forehead, some is noticeably older than the ends which are much newer. They speak of his life as one with the diamond being the oldest and the core. The offshoots represents the way a life should be lived and appear to feed back to the diamond and not the other way around.

Role

The Tenets of Faith

Added Tue Jun 26 20:33:49 2007 at level 49:
There is no easy path. The earth works in many forms and none are weak.
No matter what you add to the earth, the path just becomes difficult
in it's own way. When mixed with the waters, it becomes the swamps
where only the hardiest of creatures survive. When mixed with wind
it becomes a torrent that will eat away at the flesh and steal vision.
The things below the earth prey on the weakness that comes from above.
It holds everything. It gives shelter to those who earn it. It is
the cornerstone of all that lives. It is the final place where the
flesh goes when everything dies. But, the earth holds certain tenets
close to it. As I have hunted and killed my prey, I have found things
that those who live on and in the earth find dear. It is these things
that I have brought to Lord Daevryn for the taking. But, very little
is worthy of the Lord of the Earth. I will continue to bring these
things to him to show I understand all of the tenets. The weaker
things I have brought to him that did not grab his attention have been
a wide copper bracelet, a sleek black rod, an axe of an anti-paladin
and the blade of command. The blade was accepted as the earth commands
all. The wide copper bracelet I brought to the Lord had nothing
to do with the value perceived by the item, but for the pride of how
the one who died screamed about it when I took it from his corpse.
It was the thing he wished for more than anything else. A warrior's
pride was in that bracelet. That pride is for Lord Daevryn. The
sleek black rod was pure lust. When I had it, the mages of the tree
lusted for it. It wasn't from the death of a foe, but to tell those
of the tree that lust is for Lord Daevryn. Not their flesh. The
unholy axe I brought to Lord Daevryn was something that could never
be used by any other but a death knight. It held souls. It held
destruction. It is also now with Lord Daevryn.
This life is hard. As hard as the earth.

Sunwarden, Xinrithil

Added Fri Jun 15 03:55:33 2007 at level 49:
Odd folk the elves and light guys of the tree. They are
hesitant at striking for the scales, but, will strike at the
palace. Perhaps they see a difference that is not apparent to
me. I think it is they have a blind spot that won't clear.
These things being stated, I do have to admit that the Sunwarden,
Xinrithil, does impress me in ways I did not think one of his
ilk could. This is something the Lord of the Earth uttered to me.
Or at least how I see it. One born a moron may not stay one and
should be judged accordingly. Granted, he is the only elf that I
have met that has shown me anything of worth. Some of his ways
are quite frustrating, but, then he will do something that I
see as primal. I may not like him, but, I do have a certain amount
of respect for him.

Dwarves

Added Sat May 26 04:52:17 2007 at level 46:
I have yet to meet one that I like. I have been what the Earth asks of me.
Judge those based upon their actions. I find them distasteful at every
turn. This distaste goes beyond the ancients hatred for the actions of
their ancestors. I do believe that the actions of their ancestors have
caused them to be the way they are. I try hard not to group them all in
a single thought. But, they do make it hard not to. Whether it be
one of the maran, nexus, rager or loner, I have found them to be little
more than a blight on the ass of life.

I can explain all of my feelings of hatred towards them, but not all the
reasons. Is it instinct? No. That is what the ancients would wish to
believe. Instincts come from responding to certain actions. They do not
require thought. Having time to think about a reason why I feel this
way towards the dwarves is that everyone I have met...maran, rager,
nexus, loner...they all have just rubbed me the wrong way with their speech,
manners, warped sense of duties and their odor. I have had no regrets
killing them. But, I would just as soon ignore them than anything else.
They aren't worth my time.

My war with the Fortress.

Added Sun May 20 21:50:14 2007 at level 46:
Long did I leave them alone as I saw them as weak meat and not
worthy of the Lord of the Earth. No, they didn't kill me, but, they
did find the time to strike me as I struck the Imperial Palace.
They did find the time to find my beaten body and take my things as
I tried to regain consciousness. They will pay. The Lord will be
fed as it is my sculpture that will fall upon them and crush them
mercilessly. While I never cared for them anyway, I had left them
alone because they weren't worthy of my attention. They should have left
it that way. They will be crushed.

Nightreaver

Added Tue May 15 19:35:50 2007 at level 45:
The ancients have seen me as the one to bring things about the way
it should be. Strengthening this section of roots has required a
depth within the earth not seen before. Only the healthiest and
strongest roots will brace what is to be. I have only brought in one.
There is another that I agree should run with us. Very few will have
what it will take to make the tree strong. I will only allow the strong
to feed with the earth. In this, the way of the Nightreaver and the
Earth come together again. As it is, as it should be and as it will
always be. Until the sculpture is complete.

The Holy and Unholy

Added Sat May 5 11:36:46 2007 at level 39:
What makes one Holy and another Unholy? I am called evil and I suppose
as civilized man sees things, I would fit into the category of Unholy.
But, is the Earth Holy or Unholy? I think he is both and neither.
I think I am both or neither as well. According to civilized mans thoughts,
I am Unholy for my beliefs and Holy for my actions. I can easily claim
that I have killed more of those who are also considered Unholy than many
who make it their cause to kill the Unholy. In this, I am Holy, yet Unholy.
The Earth does not judge me so. I sense that I am just what I should be.
I am neither because my actions define me, not civilized man.

Diamond in the Rough

Added Wed Apr 25 14:33:50 2007 at level 36:
The Lord of the Earth assisted me on the sculpture that is Zekaris
Mezist. As much as I had carved on the forehead the tattoo, it was
his hand that finished the etching. I now bear the mark of the sculpture.
Guardian Maloy allowed me entrance into the shrine and I saw many things
that the Earth had taken. I brought him a highly coveted sword, but
it paled in comparison to the trinkets he had. I will bring him more
and much better things. He seemed to like them. Almost as if anything
he finds or is given has been returned to him as a long lost child.
Then again, I am a long lost child. But, not so much because of disappearing
as much as disappointing. Although, I must admit, I feel good about it.

Tremblefist and his orcs.

Added Sat Apr 14 20:55:10 2007 at level 35:
Some orcs have taken it upon themselves to take the fetish every
once in awhile. How do I say this without sounding like an idiot?
Part of me admires what the orcs are, another part of me despises
them. I do like their crush the weak attitude. Their greed for life
is commendable as well. They stink of the unnatural, but the Earth
teaches us to judge by actions, not by birth. I had to kill one
this day. They held the fetish and he had to die. Plain and simple.
I did not eat the meat. I did not touch his things. It took me
awhile to decide how to react after killing him. As far as killing
goes, well, that was never an issue. His death was necessary. He
needed to be destroyed for his transgression. But, that does not take
the respect away from the lifestyle. I will have to delve more deeper
into this and to see if their ways are quite like the nightreavers as
I suspect. Or if their unnatural existence overcomes their actions.

The Power of the Earth

Added Wed Mar 28 19:41:57 2007 at level 32:
A sculpture for what should be is what I create. The clay of the sculpture
is my flesh. My actions are the ideas that will determine the way the sculpture
appears. Lord Daevryn is the hand that guides the tools. He lets the clay
work itself. But, the clay moves with his ideals. Sweet meats are needed to
feed the clay. The tough meat is sweet. The weak meat is bitter and unwanted.
The Earth does not need bitter meats. It will only make the Earth itself bitter.
There are times when the weak must be slain and the meat fed to the Earth.
That meat was foolish and it wanted to be used as food. I will not pity or
shame them or myself over that. The Earth has granted me the boon of life.
I will feed it the best I can. The Earth cherishes the wealth that it has
created. I am not a miner or a gardener. I will just send all things taken
from the Earth to Him. He can do with it as he wishes.

Petulant Child

Added Sun Jan 28 08:41:32 2007 at level 5:
Having a drow father who served the Empire well and a human mother who lived
by the laws of the Spire, my birth was an opportunity for them to bring both
tenants into a mutual way of life. To say I was a disappointment to this idea
would be a gross understatement. They were so set in their ways, they didn't
realize that continuously telling a child what and what not to do might backfire.
My mother died when I was young and my father, who will outlive me, won't speak
to me. I think they both realized they lived their lives as slaves as I told
them. They were both just too obstinate to admit it to me. Now the pain will
come to that which they loved the most. Their ideals.

Jagad Witch

Added Wed Aug 1 13:53:23 2007 at level 51:
Long and hard the fight has been. Rarely is there the time when the odds
have been favorable. The earth is not weak, nor will it accept weakness.
In my travels, I have come across a book about the Jagad. This
creature is ancient, evil and of the swamps. One not to be trusted.
The huron trees carry the taint of the Jagad. I do believe that she
is one of the ancients that strengthen the Nightreavers of Thar-Eris.
While my strength is upon the earth, the other Outlanders rely upon
my strength as it ties to the ancients. As I see the way that the
Jagad influences the trees, I do wonder if they have the ancient
knowledge as the druids with a Nightreaver's touch. This knowledge
I seek so that the earth and the ancients can be fed. I am older
now and I do feel the weight of time upon my bones, so I must do
this quickly. It may cost me the balance of my health, but, if I
am correct, I can bring a greater strength to those who embrace Thar-Eris.
I do believe that I must contact the Lord of the Earth. I believe
that he has the knowledge and perhaps the understanding that I need
to move forward with this.
