Description

Lithe and charming best describe the appearance of the female before you. She has a look eloquent with compassion that is kind and confident. Her face is of fair coloring, with soft appeasing features such as her rosy cheeks, long eyelashes and full, rounded blushed lips, all accentuated with her shoulder length sun bleached hair. This thin woman of just over five feet in height carries herself in a well balanced manner, and a bold sense of civility. She is dressed plainly with little adornments other than the robes of a priestess.

Role

Part Six C: Family dinner cut short by smuggler's

Added Sat Jan 21 17:28:22 2006 at level 1:
* Rafe went to meet with the smuggler's, and they didn't look
very happy with him. Rafe had been taking his own cut from the
stolen goods, and the smuggler's eventually found out, and they
had come to take back what was "theirs". Zeltana had quietly
followed Rafe to the outskirts, and she arrived just in time to
hear Rafe arguing with these cloaked figures, saying that he
had already spent what was taken. Zeltana shouted for the guards
as she watched the hooded smuggler's precisely strike and stab
her brother down. With the shout, the smuggler's scattered off
into the darkness.

Part Six B: Family dinner conversation

Added Sat Jan 21 17:28:04 2006 at level 1:
Mother: Rafe, I do not mean to pry into your business or your
- hard work, but I have to wonder where all of this came
- from.
Sister: Yes. Everything is so wonderful! But how can we possibly
- afford this?!
Rafe: Please, mother, sister, don't question where it all came
- from. Let us just enjoy what we have, which is each other.

*** Knock-Knock-Knock ***

Mother: Did you just hear someone at the door?
Rafe: Yes, I'll get it.
Guard: Rafe, there are some gentlemen on the outskirts of the
- city wanting to speak with you. They looked suspicious
- so I did not allow them on our grounds.
Rafe: I--I will go and see to them. Let me just tell mother
- that I must excuse myself from dinner.

Part Six A: Family dinner

Added Sat Jan 21 17:27:02 2006 at level 1:
* With the extra coins Rafe had been bringing in, he bought
his mother new medicine, and a doctor had come in to check on her
condition. He also bought his sister some new books that she had
been needing for several months now. Rafe invited his mother and
sister to a family dinner one evening. They had oven roasted hen
sweet stalks of corn, other fresh fruits and vegetables and tall
glasses of milk. All three seemed very excited when they sat down
at the table, and happily began eating their feast. As the dinner
continued on, both the mother and sister grew curious...

Part Five: The smuggler's plan

Added Sat Jan 21 17:26:48 2006 at level 1:
* The smuggler's of Galadon's sewers were able to deftly move
in and out of Tir-Talath, taking what supplies they wanted to sell.
What they couldn't do was get the supplies to their hideout in the
Galadon sewers. So they would meet Rafe in the woods west of the
North Road where he would then load their stolen supplies onto his
wagon. Rafe was well known in Galadon, and certainly not for any
suspicious action. The shopkeepers enjoyed his company when he
would make his deliveries, and he had a good reputation amongst
the guard in Galadon. Rafe would unload the extra sacks near the
docks in Galadon, and transport them to the entrance of the sewers.
There, the smuggler's would get their pick-up, and later meet with
Galadon shopkeepers near their den, and sell the product to them
at a very discounted price. Rafe would get his payment at the next
delivery.

Part Four: Tir-Talath posts theft signs

Added Sat Jan 21 17:26:10 2006 at level 1:
* Weeks after Rafe had met the hooded figure, various shops
began posting signs of missing inventory. Rafe continued about his
jobs as he normally would, leaving little suspect to him. He was
the town's hard worker, and supporting his mother and sister, after
all. The situation couldn't have been any better for Rafe, and the
smuggler's knew that. Extra guard patrols had been set up to try
and catch the thief or thieves, but with no evidence of how the
supplies were being stolen, the patrols did very little to dissuade
the criminals. This continued for several weeks.

Part Three: Rafe's night delivery

Added Sat Jan 21 17:25:54 2006 at level 1:
* Rafe saddled the horse up without the wagon this evening and
only tied on the saddle bags, which were filled with jars of milk.
The delivery was usual, down the North Road and to Galadon, then
drop off the milk at the Cheese Wheel in Galadon. But this night
was different. Rafe was stopped on the North Road by a cloaked
man. Reluctant and nervous of stopping at first, Rafe eventually
agreed to listen to the man...

Part Seven: Rafe's death impacts Zeltana

Added Sat Jan 21 17:28:50 2006 at level 1:
* Rafe lay motionless, in a pool of his own blood, on the
outskirts of Tir-Talath. Zeltana ran to him with tears in her
eyes, and she huddled over him while holding his hand, full of
emotion. Zeltana lifted herself up, and began praying for her
brother, trying to help him live. But it was too late. Rafe
whispered to Zeltana that he loved her and his mother, and
that he was sorry. with that, Rafe's hand went lifeless and he
passed away.
* It was at this point that Zeltana knew the meaning of
her love and faith, and what the good guild had been trying
to teach her all this time. Up until now, Zeltana was too naive
and innocent to truly understand the world and its intention, or
the meaning of sorrow and pain. Zeltana would proceed from this
point with the love and heart that her brother inspired within
her. And she lay over him and forgave her brother and told him
to embrace the heavens, and see a better place.

Part Two: Rafe, the good brother

Added Sat Jan 21 17:25:38 2006 at level 1:
* Rafe cared very much for his family, and would do anything
to make sure his mother received the medicines she required, and
that Zeltana could continue her studies in school. He worked late
night shifts using the horse and wagon of Aralan, the butcher of
Tir-Talath. The wagon was also used to transport the goods of
Tara, the milkmaid, and Elizabeth, the vegetable harvest. He was
paid decently by these three, and would collect a little extra
coin when he would do odd jobs for anyone else. He managed to
collect enough to have three adequate meals a day, and help put
his sister through school at the Healer's Guild, and purchase
medicine for his sickly mother, but there wasn't much leftover
for anything else.
* Rafe was a hard and dedicated work, but often times he felt
as though his work was fruitless. He wanted so much more for his
loving family. He thought maybe one day they could open their own
shop up, and live better. To have better doctor's, healthier food
drink milk with their dinner, instead of water, buy new books for
his sister, instead of old, tattered used books.

Part One: Zeltana's loyal family

Added Sat Jan 21 17:25:07 2006 at level 1:
* Zeltana lives with her sick, bed ridden mother, Susena, and
her older brother, Rafe, in the small township of Tir-Talath. The
town has served as their home since they were born. Both siblings
grew up without their father's, for reasons left unasked. But this
has made the family of three grow strong together, wholesome, as
a loving family should. They take care of one another, and have
the support of the good town.
